The Bugs12 is solid. I still enjoy flying mine. Yes no 2-3 axis gimble, but EIS provides sufficient stability, paired with Tripod mode and it's really decent. This was only $133 on Amazon for over a year. Finally sold out. I bought 2 at that price for a backup. Range is solid for a wi-fi quad.
I've gotten hung up on gimbals ---- ideally 3-axis, but at least 2-axis. Since I'm trying to stay under $250, that has really limited my selection. Is it that important of a feature? It seems to make sense in theory, but are some of these non-gimbal drones good enough in the video department, where they are worth considering?
Hi, very good review. Btw, will the props of bugs 12 eis work with bugs 20 eis. It appears that they do have the same motors and mounting. Thanks in advance
@@HalfChrome thanks for the reply. so thats a bit disapointing. im new to this hobby and was looking for a cheap\budget drone with decent camera that may work with a pair of cheap goggles(was thinking about eachine ev800). so what spec should i look for to know if its goggle compatible? sorry for the long question and hope to find my answer :) im ok with 720p on the goggles while local SD card recording a good 4k@30fps
@@HalfChrome Thanks. I did this. low and high mode. It s true. In high mode drone is faster while I turn but always slow. Could be this due to joistick?
I believe that it's pretty possible for the bugs 12 to be used in some sorts of professional demands. Some times I think that there is a artificial effort to prevent people from using such a drone professionally. What exactly is "no professional" in bugs 12 footage?
I’d say the jerky movements, uneven stabilization, distortion and lack of range limit this drone. If you want to use this professionally go for it but there are better tools for the job.
@@HalfChrome thanks since this is my first drone I’ll probably get the bugs 12. My kids got me a droneclone x for Christmas but we couldn’t get it to stay connected to the app and about lost it so I returned it
I am getting lots of unresponsive yaw & pitch events. What do you mean "it may have been an issue with alitude limits" and it wasn't so bad after you adjusted some onf those. Mine is doing it at 2-4 meters altitude. Literally right in front of me. Very disturbing. I don't see any firmware update facility for this - IS there a FW update since release?
Hi, regarding the image quality of the video for the B12 it seems like the colors are a bit more saturated and less sharp than the B20 video image? is that true or do they produce the same exact image quality? thanks
For a bit of comic relief; page 6 of the manual shows 13 different combinations of LEDs on the drone, for everything from poor compass, 1/6 voltage remaining, 1/8 remaining. Front green, rear double red blink at 1.5 seconds. Flash 3x slow, flash yellow 2x fast, etc. etc. It's hysterical; by the time you looked up the light codes the drone would be in a tree. They even put a sticker with 2 corrected blink colors/patterns on the chart, lest you confused barometer fail with optical flow failure or something. LOL
I really wanted a nice camera drone but didn't want to shell out 350 or 400 dollars for a Mavic mini or a zino but I also wanted something that could take good footage and was relatively smooth for a cheaper drone, so when I saw this video, I GOT REALLY EXCITED
Drone video are suck! That’s not 4K. Too much shaking and blurry. It’s not very clear like GoPro 4 low quality. I guess I pick a Dji Mavic air 2 or dji mini 2. That’s not a your winner!

Agreed.
Have you used the Yagi antenna on this???
Wat about bugs 16 pro?
I have reviews that one too
What is the best drone under 200 that can go further (meters)
Which camera is better B20 or b12
They are the same camera
@@HalfChrome I heard there is more jello in the b12 one is that true
I guess potentially since it’s folding
@@HalfChrome yh I think I might go for the b20
Solid choice

At $250 yes
Great video! Still waiting on mine should be very soon. Happy Holidays and new year Everyone!
Always on the slow boat over.

Yes it is.

I'm wondersing the same
Great info here!
What's the weight of this drone?
in your opinion is it a good drone for cinematic filming like the ones I bring on my channel? I register with a Mavic Mini
What SIM card does it use?
It does not use a SIM card
@@HalfChrome oh ok
how does it go up against the mavic mini tho!?
Not nearly as good. Video on the way
how do you use it with fpv googes
You don’t with this one
@@HalfChrome will the B20 work with goggles? or still a no?
Typical FPV goggles run an analog signal. This does not

Bugs 12

Mjx B12 can take manual exposure?
No
@@HalfChrome How about B16 Pro?
How is the app performance
It’s better than most $100-200 drones
mine will not connect to the app. tried on 3 different devices so far.. any advice?
Delete the app and reinstall
Hi thanks.
This drone turns on the left and on the right very slowly. Is this correct?
You can change the speed
@@HalfChrome Thanks. I did this. low and high mode. It s true. In high mode drone is faster while I turn but always slow.

@@HalfChrome I had drone mjx 5 w and it works very good and turn normally.
For this I think there is some problems.
Yaw or roll?
@@HalfChrome yaw.
is it better than bugs 16?
No

Probably not.
How can you record audio with this drone?
You can’t. Most drones don’t record audio. All you would hear would be the motors. Some people use their phone or a second camera/mic for audio.
@@HalfChrome what video editer do you use if you dont mind me asking ?
Powerdirector 365

Anyone know where to find a MJX B20 replacement motor? I’ve searched everywhere I know...
Banggood or MJX maybe
None on Banggood. Was holding out to contact MJX because I expected the price to be higher. I guess it is what it is. Thanks for responding.
No prob
Have any idea when you will review the f11 4k pro?
We will be getting it this week and reviewing it soon.
Hi, regarding the image quality of the video for the B12 it seems like the colors are a bit more saturated and less sharp than the B20 video image? is that true or do they produce the same exact image quality? thanks
It’s about the same.
@@HalfChrome The B20 came set at 50% saturation by default. The B12 default is 55% - probably so it looks more vivid at first use.
Nice drone
I have 150 to 200 to spend on a starter drone. What would you suggest
Probably the bugs 12 here
Bugs 12 or b20
Nice
This or the eachine ex4 ?
This 100%
@@HalfChrome how about the sg906?
That is the beast
Review the sg906 pro 2 3axis gimbal 1km
It’s basically the same as the two axis version.
what is the real video transmission range?
500 meters max. We got 200-300 easy.
Very nice drone but SJRC F11 4k Pro with 2axis gimbal & EIS is a clear winner 👍🏻
I’ll take a look
Not trying to buy it off that scretchy website :/

Mjx is the best in class toys
I agree
Hi thank's for this revue. I think the SJRC F11 Pro 4K is better on stabilization and image/video quality.
Interesting choice
WHAT IS BETTER:
bugs 20 eis, bugs 12 eis ,zlrc pro 2 , holystone hs720eis
not including the foldable part. :) thanks
The bugs and holy stone camera are very similar. The zlrc camera is inferior for sure.
@@HalfChrome have you reviewed the latest zlrc pro 2 it has a 3 axis gimbal
The low bit rate and shaky video is present still
Prefer the B20, has proper landing legs. Not folding, does not bother me.
👍
Now lads, that is poor stabilization and colour. I liked the review though.
Thanks. We present it as it is. It can’t compete with more expensive and capable drones.

Best drone under 250grams and $200. Bugs B7, JJRC X9PS
The batteries alone cost more then the whole thing
No.
Love the bugs mjx range but a far better one to buy this time would be the new f11 pro 4k with new gimble👍
