@@davidcruz8789 I’m running an integrated skagit line because I’m not shooting super long distances and I don’t like the extra knots from the running line. (I’ve broke off fish because of those knots) off of that I was running a combo tip in the beginning of the video. The shortest one you can get. It is 4 foot float and 4 foot sink but I think only 5ips. Off of that I build a 4-5 foot leader out of flouro tippet. For the last fish I swapped out for a 5 foot floating tip
@@FlyGuy420-l1j I’ll try and talk about the rod and setup more in my next video and once the creeks freeze over maybe I’ll do a video on why I fish the trout Spey rod in the winter more than anything else.
@@LeviCorbin-n2l for a conventional rod ide probably suggest a 8wt for people new to fly fishing. Trout Spey and switch rods are weighted a little differently so for a switch rod ide say a 5wt and if you would like to try trout Spey ide suggest a 4wt. A 3wt a a little light for the bigger fish. I’m going to sell my 8wt setup soon if you’re local.
@@MopFlyProductions. thanks man and yea I expect it to be planted and it turned out to be a log role. lol normally when I get to comfortable something like that happens.

Great job. You have a new sub and a first question. Could you please do a video on your rod, reel and line you use for your trout spey setup?
