I remember, ateez had to put makeup(challenge) on a girl and when it was Hongjoong's turn, he asked her is it okay if he touch her. That was when he became my bias. When Hongjoong said that he wants create his own line of clothes, for every body size and shape, genderless, he became my ult-bias. When I saw making of his cover Black or White(og by Michael Jackson) and heard his thoughts I fell in love with him. And after listening all songs written by him, seeing the lyrics, I fell even harder. This man - definition of "gentle masculinity". Btw, sorry, English is not my first language)

You're so cute! We got exactly ONE member done in the first video. It's adorable. I'm OT8 biased, but I get anyone finding any member their bias. Hong Joong is an incredible person. He recently completed -- while they were out of the country on tour, sadly, so he couldn't be there in person -- a solo photo exhibition in Korea. He wrote notes to fans and they posted them at the exhibit every day, I believe. Proceeds were donated to charity. He also helps to makes contributions to charity organizations in ATINY's name. He is literally the start and reason for ATEEZ's existence, and the members are not shy telling people that. You'd think he'd be an extravert, but when you see him in the studio just doing his thing, it's clear he's very much an introvert who has extravert tendencies when around others. I always appreciate that he seems never to ask something of someone else that he'd be unwilling to do himself. He's constantly putting in the hard work, and his style is constantly evolving. It's wonderful to get to be a spectator to his incredible life. Can't wait for you to view the other members. I wonder if you'll gravitate to other members later or not. It's always fun to find out! Oh my gosh, I cannot thank you enough for the background on Hongjoong... That really helped me understand him more and understand his incredible heart. The fact that Atinys are in the forefront of his mind is so charming! And somehow knowing that he's an introvert makes me love him even more
As you continue with ur journey with Ateez you'll find out how hard is to keep 1 bias only 😭at the beginning i was a Wooyoung bias and now after almost a year im Ot8 and i've been Ot8 for quite a while now , its impossible not to love all of the members
Well now I'm just falling in love with them all over again. (not complaining) And you at the end, talking about how you feel about Hongjoong....guuuurl, like we couldn't tell throughout the video! 😄 Obviously I'm not saying the others aren't, but just talking about Hongjoong here, he's a really special person. Very unique and interesting. He's strong in the ways that matter, has great leadership qualities, is very empathetic and sincere and his possessiveness towards HIS Atiny is adorable and hilarious. glad to see your voyage continue with ateez! 😊 they're really something special, something you'll continually discover as you learn more and more about them. i'm ot8 and love them all to bits and support all equally, while having an extra special place in my heart for hongjoong, seonghwa, san, and mingi (feel the closest connection to them personally). it doesn't take long to fall for our captain, he has such a beautiful heart and soul. idk if it's something that could be reacted to, but please definitely have a look at the videos of him reforming. there's something especially soft and endearing about him in lives, and you'll see it in those as well. and it's just a lot of fun watching him create 💗 in his covers of songs he always adds his own personal touch, so you'll definitely enjoy seeing those; highly recommended as well! hongjoong is an artist to the core, music and reforming and photography are things i love and enjoy, so seeing him also love these hit a weak spot so fast. he's stated before his interest in having his own fashion line, and that it would be fully inclusive regardless of size or gender or anything like that. in his own way uniquely him, hongjoong just has an immense love for people and for the world, and the messages in songs and storyline, and just in his everyday words and actions, reflect that beautifully. his quotes are so precious truly, the one "i hope there are days when you fall in love with being alive" is an immense source of comfort and motivation to continue forward despite everything for me personally, and i'm glad you showed comfort from it as well. the kq fellaz series with ateez that documents their training in la is def. a must on your voyage too. i won't spoil, but there's a particular moment involving the members that gets me sobbing every time, and if you already feel this close to hongjoong, be prepared with tissues 😭 looking forward to the rest of your videos! as has been pointed out already in the comments, your calm voice and sense of care and empathy are very comforting to watch. that being said, if you get really giggly or shout etc in reaction to something, no worries! just be yourself and shine as you. 🤗 hope your day is kind, and thank you for sharing with us!
I love how imperfect they are and don't really hide it. It's not something to mention in the guide but Hongjoong can be quite irritable because he is constantly sleep deprived and tired and like that's fine, he is still such a warm-hearted person. He likes to tease his members but he has a lot of emotional intelligence. There is one famous Christmas live that suddenly turned into quite sensitive discussion between Wooyoung and Yeosang about their friendship and how each of them felt neglected and Hongjoong handled it SO well. He mediated the whole thing, cleared out the misunderstandings and did all of that in a way that didn't feel like an attack on either member. He is a great captain!
What a phenomenal Captain he is! I'm sure resolving conflict is the toughest area to mediate but (like you said) I think his emotional intelligence really shines through
it’s kinda funny bc as long as this guide is, there is even more that I would want to put into it. these boys are so multifaceted and have kept me entertained for 3 years now.

Jongho, Yunho and San and Mingi got me really confused in the beginning because they looked the same to me at first. And Jungho and Yunho having Ho at the end of their names didn’t make identifying them any better!! It gets easier! Their personalities on and off stage can easily helped me identify who they were. 🤙 Also good luck with trying to find/keeping a bias. I could never OT8
I get San and Mingi mixed up sometimes too! I agree that watching more behind the scenes footage will help me distinguish who is who... Maybe some interviews too so I can hear them speak?
@@kiwimosier That will help a lot, there are two with very deep voices, two with calm voices, and several with crazy crackhead antics. They also all laugh and show enthusiasm very differently. I remember first hearing a clip of an Ateez song...I immediately went on such a deep dive that 24 hours later I could identify and name them all, and had purchased every album they had put out at that point. Your restraint is admirable!

Good morning! I can't wait to see how you feel about the members as you go along this journey. When I started my journey, Captain was my bias. Along the way, I've added San as my 2nd bias, then I kept getting wrecked by the other members depending on the different eras. Now, I'm OT8 because I keep adding members as biases so I might as well bias them all. Hongjoong will always be the top of my list though. He has a special place in my heart.
Your reactions to ATEEZ are so heartwarming! When we get to Yunho's section, I hope you'll forgive me elaborating on what the guide has quite a bit, because, while this does a fine job with him, it also isn't quite as thorough as some of the other members. He's my bias, but I feel like I have to stress that that is almost entirely because of a personal experience/interaction I had at the Chicago stop of their first tour in 2019 that impacted me greatly. Without it, I am just about positive I would be one of the huge pool of OT8 biased ATINY. I swear, I have been following the kpop scene closely for over a decade now, and I have *never* seen another group where so many fans are full-group biased, constantly switch biases, or barely have biases as ATEEZ. I know we can't really and truly know a celebrity, but all 8 of the ATEEZ members truly seem to be phenomenal people. Edit: Also, yoooo! I just became your 1,000th subscriber! Congratulations!

Captain is my 2nd bias (after Yeosang) and every time I learn something new about him, it makes me love him even more. Hi! Thank you for sharing your voyage with us. As I've said in your very first reaction to Ateez, I really love your calming voice and energy. When I first watched Ateez, Hongjoong immediately became my bias bc his charisma reminded me so much of GD of BigBang whom I greatly admire and miss 😭🥰 Mingi instantly became the bias-wrecker. But soon after my Ateez discovery, Mingi went on a break so I decided tt no, for this grp, I will love and give attn to all 8 members equally (as possible). But yeah Hongjoong is a very captivating character and he is so genuine and honest in expressing himself tt ngl I suffer from 2ndhand embarrassment smtimes hahaha. I love him even more for being so relatable as a person. He has said this b4, unfortunately I can't recall the exact words (Atiny besties, help?) that one day in future, when we don't or can't give him/Ateez as much attention as b4, pls rmbr that Hongjoong loves and appreciates you. 😭😭😭 aaand I'm tearing up alrdy. The main reason I will stay as an ATINY is because they are GENUINELY GOOD PEOPLE. People that you would want to look up to no matter which phase you are in life. There are so many idols that are cool and talented but what Ateez is beyond that. i don't know how to say it but they are so humble, so full of love for each other and their fans. They are not afraid to be vulnerable. I can say that I have become a better person after knowing them especially Hongjoong and San. San is not my bias and he is mostly known for being a great performer but what I like the most about him is he is not afraid to tell his members and Atiny how much he loves and cherish them. I try to be that to my friends and family, letting them know how much I appreciate them. Hong taught me that hardships are the foundation of success. Success is much sweeter when you worked your life and soul for it, to look back into you past hardships fondly and being humble even after reaching it.

I’m a Shawol that is now cheating with Ateez lol. Thanks to my bff, my daughter and Kingdom. I’m a very new Atiny but I already love them so much. Such a talented, hardworking genuine group of guys. My bias is Seonghwa but Hongjoong and San are constant wreckers. I saw them in concert in Nov and they are beyond amazing live. You are starting a very fun and exciting journey. They are not like any other 4th Gen group out there. They are the Kings.
Something about ATEEZ just makes you fall in love with them right away! I can't explain it... And I bet they were mind-blowing live! Also, I just recently found Key's music in 2022 and found SHINee through him! I'm pretty late to the SHINee game. Haha.

She kept telling me i would love this new group because they are the new generation shinee, she meant they were fearlessly experimental and absolute beasts at performing live/stage. She wasn’t wrong about them being performers but I did tell her that Ateez is like SHINee only if they were Married to the music era SHINee on horror steroids 😅😂 I have never regretted loving this group, they’re my daughter’s age so I root for them like they’re my own kids. If you listen to them pronounce their names when they’re being a bit more formal and using better diction, they pronounce the ho at the end of Yunho and Jongho. If they’re being more casual, the names get slurred a bit and the h is kind of dropped/quieter so it sounds closer to Yuno/ Yoono and Jongo. That might be a little easier to pronounce for you 😊
@@kiwimosier Random noteworthy point of interest about pronunciation; most of the members come from "the countryside" according to Hongjoong (including himself), with varying levels of "countryside" "small town" to "super rural with own pronounced dialect" (The Real is a song that incorporates all of their dialects) Jongho is the only one who grew up speaking standard Korean (he's from Seoul). When casually chatting/constantly pestering each other, their pronuncuation, chatting, phrasing, and jargon is all over the place, and they poke at each other about it often. Some of them use regional words and phrases the others straight up don't know, and they nickname and "bend" each other's names a lot as well. Hongjoong sounds very different when he speaks than when he raps, and they all drop into and out of spontaneous skits, imitiations of each other's accents and voices, imitations of famous actors, staff members, and random quotes so often that it will make your head spin. It's unusual to have the bulk of a group made from one age group (5 of them are 99'ers), and there's only 3 years difference between the oldest and youngest. This seems to have had a levelling effect on their levels of formality. They've slipped up in interviews multiple times using each other's endearing nicknames and forgetting to address each other "properly" (i:e: with correct age related formality from juniors to seniors). Hongjoong does *not* like it when they slip up on etiquette in front of the cameras! 😂

2:42 when I first started learning their names Jongho and Yunho really gave me a hard time, it was like Hyunjin & Felix and Jungkook & Taehyung: I just couldn’t get their names right
every day i get more convicted that ateez is just comfort in the form eight people i swearrrr!! their words and shared thoughts are always so sweet and reassuring. you already heard about celebrate but i wanna add something hongjoong said when asked what he wanted to convey with it: "regardless of appearance, age, gender, & race - you deserve to be loved & celebrated just for being you" (🥹🥹) and we can see he takes it very seriously based on how he treats people around him. been almost 2 years but i still think that somehow im falling even more in love with them watching this recent guide with you😭 and im so excited for the other parts!!

Oh brother not this guide 🙄 please keep in mind when it comes to Yeosang’s part he never said he didn’t want lines, that’s a lie the fandom made up. Half of the fandom is weird asf when it comes to Yeosang and don’t care to do research or include actual important things when it comes to his part of these “introductions”.
ppl say it's a lie but it actually happened. he says it in the KangOn Box episodes. not many atinys know of those episodes so they believe he never actually said it.

He recently completed -- while they were out of the country on tour, sadly, so he couldn't be there in person -- a solo photo exhibition in Korea. He wrote notes to fans and they posted them at the exhibit every day, I believe. Proceeds were donated to charity. He also helps to makes contributions to charity organizations in ATINY's name. He is literally the start and reason for ATEEZ's existence, and the members are not shy telling people that. You'd think he'd be an extravert, but when you see him in the studio just doing his thing, it's clear he's very much an introvert who has extravert tendencies when around others. I always appreciate that he seems never to ask something of someone else that he'd be unwilling to do himself. He's constantly putting in the hard work, and his style is constantly evolving. It's wonderful to get to be a spectator to his incredible life. Can't wait for you to view the other members. I wonder if you'll gravitate to other members later or not. It's always fun to find out! As you continue with ur journey with Ateez you'll find out how hard is to keep 1 bias only 😭at the beginning i was a Wooyoung bias and now after almost a year im Ot8 and i've been Ot8 for quite a while now , its impossible not to love all of the members

Haha. Were my strong feelings for Captain super obvious? :D I can't help it! I'm very pro-OT8 because all members deserve love and appreciation but sometimes someone just grabs my attention a tiny bit extra
glad to see your voyage continue with ateez! 😊 they're really something special, something you'll continually discover as you learn more and more about them. i'm ot8 and love them all to bits and support all equally, while having an extra special place in my heart for hongjoong, seonghwa, san, and mingi (feel the closest connection to them personally).
it doesn't take long to fall for our captain, he has such a beautiful heart and soul. idk if it's something that could be reacted to, but please definitely have a look at the videos of him reforming. there's something especially soft and endearing about him in lives, and you'll see it in those as well. and it's just a lot of fun watching him create 💗
in his covers of songs he always adds his own personal touch, so you'll definitely enjoy seeing those; highly recommended as well!
hongjoong is an artist to the core, music and reforming and photography are things i love and enjoy, so seeing him also love these hit a weak spot so fast. he's stated before his interest in having his own fashion line, and that it would be fully inclusive regardless of size or gender or anything like that. in his own way uniquely him, hongjoong just has an immense love for people and for the world, and the messages in songs and storyline, and just in his everyday words and actions, reflect that beautifully.
his quotes are so precious truly, the one "i hope there are days when you fall in love with being alive" is an immense source of comfort and motivation to continue forward despite everything for me personally, and i'm glad you showed comfort from it as well.
the kq fellaz series with ateez that documents their training in la is def. a must on your voyage too. i won't spoil, but there's a particular moment involving the members that gets me sobbing every time, and if you already feel this close to hongjoong, be prepared with tissues 😭

You are absolutely right about Captain's beautiful heart
I love how imperfect they are and don't really hide it. It's not something to mention in the guide but Hongjoong can be quite irritable because he is constantly sleep deprived and tired and like that's fine, he is still such a warm-hearted person. He likes to tease his members but he has a lot of emotional intelligence. There is one famous Christmas live that suddenly turned into quite sensitive discussion between Wooyoung and Yeosang about their friendship and how each of them felt neglected and Hongjoong handled it SO well. He mediated the whole thing, cleared out the misunderstandings and did all of that in a way that didn't feel like an attack on either member. He is a great captain!
What a phenomenal Captain he is! I'm sure resolving conflict is the toughest area to mediate but (like you said) I think his emotional intelligence really shines through
Hongjoong has always been my bias, and his words always comfort me and have helped me when I really needed reassurance 💕

Jongho, Yunho and San and Mingi got me really confused in the beginning because they looked the same to me at first. And Jungho and Yunho having Ho at the end of their names didn’t make identifying them any better!! It gets easier! Their personalities on and off stage can easily helped me identify who they were. 🤙

@@kiwimosier That will help a lot, there are two with very deep voices, two with calm voices, and several with crazy crackhead antics. They also all laugh and show enthusiasm very differently. I remember first hearing a clip of an Ateez song...I immediately went on such a deep dive that 24 hours later I could identify and name them all, and had purchased every album they had put out at that point. Your restraint is admirable!
@AdventurousJS I've definitely felt an urge now and then to just hoard and consume everything ATEEZ I can find! Haha. I usually do what you do about discovering a group all at once; I'm not typically very patient

Good morning! I can't wait to see how you feel about the members as you go along this journey. When I started my journey, Captain was my bias. Along the way, I've added San as my 2nd bias, then I kept getting wrecked by the other members depending on the different eras. Now, I'm OT8 because I keep adding members as biases so I might as well bias them all. Hongjoong will always be the top of my list though. He has a special place in my heart.
I have a feeling I will definitely fall in love with all 8 gentlemen; I will probably swoon over all of them as I watch their backstories!

When we get to Yunho's section, I hope you'll forgive me elaborating on what the guide has quite a bit, because, while this does a fine job with him, it also isn't quite as thorough as some of the other members. He's my bias, but I feel like I have to stress that that is almost entirely because of a personal experience/interaction I had at the Chicago stop of their first tour in 2019 that impacted me greatly. Without it, I am just about positive I would be one of the huge pool of OT8 biased ATINY. I swear, I have been following the kpop scene closely for over a decade now, and I have *never* seen another group where so many fans are full-group biased, constantly switch biases, or barely have biases as ATEEZ. I know we can't really and truly know a celebrity, but all 8 of the ATEEZ members truly seem to be phenomenal people.

Captain is my 2nd bias (after Yeosang) and every time I learn something new about him, it makes me love him even more. Hi! Thank you for sharing your voyage with us. As I've said in your very first reaction to Ateez, I really love your calming voice and energy. When I first watched Ateez, Hongjoong immediately became my bias bc his charisma reminded me so much of GD of BigBang whom I greatly admire and miss 😭🥰 Mingi instantly became the bias-wrecker. But soon after my Ateez discovery, Mingi went on a break so I decided tt no, for this grp, I will love and give attn to all 8 members equally (as possible). But yeah Hongjoong is a very captivating character and he is so genuine and honest in expressing himself tt ngl I suffer from 2ndhand embarrassment smtimes hahaha. I love him even more for being so relatable as a person. Ok, I'm in my feels today because this ish is making me cry.
The main reason I will stay as an ATINY is because they are GENUINELY GOOD PEOPLE. People that you would want to look up to no matter which phase you are in life. There are so many idols that are cool and talented but what Ateez is beyond that. i don't know how to say it but they are so humble, so full of love for each other and their fans. They are not afraid to be vulnerable. I can say that I have become a better person after knowing them especially Hongjoong and San. San is not my bias and he is mostly known for being a great performer but what I like the most about him is he is not afraid to tell his members and Atiny how much he loves and cherish them. I try to be that to my friends and family, letting them know how much I appreciate them. Hong taught me that hardships are the foundation of success. Success is much sweeter when you worked your life and soul for it, to look back into you past hardships fondly and being humble even after reaching it.
You have such a beautiful way with words! I'm sure San and Captain would be honored to know they've had an impact on your life. And knowing those things about them makes me have an ever higher view of them now so thank you!

I’m a Shawol that is now cheating with Ateez lol. Thanks to my bff, my daughter and Kingdom. I’m a very new Atiny but I already love them so much. Such a talented, hardworking genuine group of guys. My bias is Seonghwa but Hongjoong and San are constant wreckers. I saw them in concert in Nov and they are beyond amazing live. You are starting a very fun and exciting journey. They are not like any other 4th Gen group out there. They are the Kings.
Something about ATEEZ just makes you fall in love with them right away! I can't explain it... And I bet they were mind-blowing live!

She kept telling me i would love this new group because they are the new generation shinee, she meant they were fearlessly experimental and absolute beasts at performing live/stage. She wasn’t wrong about them being performers but I did tell her that Ateez is like SHINee only if they were Married to the music era SHINee on horror steroids 😅😂 I have never regretted loving this group, they’re my daughter’s age so I root for them like they’re my own kids.

and omg hongjoong no words can describe him i am a multistan i love a lot of groups but hongjoong no one like him it's a fact (btw he has a tattoo says no1likeme and he designed himself) i have my biases in every group but him i can't even call him just a bias he is everything at first i loved all of them equally i found them so beautiful so talented like superstars from the beginning but then he is just make u feel happy, positive and u can see the world more beautiful by just watching him he is the most one that u find to talk to atinys and when he meets his fans u can see he doesn't wanna leave them everything he does is so genuine and coming from his beautiful heart
he has such a complicated personality but in a good way he is so smart and has that awareness of handling any situation also never ask for help if u watch their personal and funny stuff u will see that the members love and depend on him a lot and he loves and cherish them u can know that by just the way he looks at them (the way he looks at ppl, in general, is so beautiful) that's why the guide said he loves ppl in general, he has nothing but love inside him and on the other side u can see him always teasing the members and being mean and sassy a lot of times 😂 he is always working but also observing everything about his members and know them very well what they need or want so that's why a lot says he is one of the best leaders in kpop and i never saw a group treat their leader as ateez treat hongjoong they make sure everyone knows that he is their leader

If you listen to them pronounce their names when they’re being a bit more formal and using better diction, they pronounce the ho at the end of Yunho and Jongho. If they’re being more casual, the names get slurred a bit and the h is kind of dropped/quieter so it sounds closer to Yuno/ Yoono and Jongo. That might be a little easier to pronounce for you 😊

@@kiwimosier Random noteworthy point of interest about pronunciation; most of the members come from "the countryside" according to Hongjoong (including himself), with varying levels of "countryside" "small town" to "super rural with own pronounced dialect" (The Real is a song that incorporates all of their dialects) Jongho is the only one who grew up speaking standard Korean (he's from Seoul). When casually chatting/constantly pestering each other, their pronuncuation, chatting, phrasing, and jargon is all over the place, and they poke at each other about it often. Some of them use regional words and phrases the others straight up don't know, and they nickname and "bend" each other's names a lot as well. Hongjoong sounds very different when he speaks than when he raps, and they all drop into and out of spontaneous skits, imitiations of each other's accents and voices, imitations of famous actors, staff members, and random quotes so often that it will make your head spin. It's unusual to have the bulk of a group made from one age group (5 of them are 99'ers), and there's only 3 years difference between the oldest and youngest. This seems to have had a levelling effect on their levels of formality. They've slipped up in interviews multiple times using each other's endearing nicknames and forgetting to address each other "properly" (i:e: with correct age related formality from juniors to seniors). Hongjoong does *not* like it when they slip up on etiquette in front of the cameras! 😂

2:42 when I first started learning their names Jongho and Yunho really gave me a hard time, it was like Hyunjin & Felix and Jungkook & Taehyung: I just couldn’t get their names right

every day i get more convicted that ateez is just comfort in the form eight people i swearrrr!! their words and shared thoughts are always so sweet and reassuring. you already heard about celebrate but i wanna add something hongjoong said when asked what he wanted to convey with it: "regardless of appearance, age, gender, & race - you deserve to be loved & celebrated just for being you" (🥹🥹) and we can see he takes it very seriously based on how he treats people around him.

Oh brother not this guide 🙄 please keep in mind when it comes to Yeosang’s part he never said he didn’t want lines, that’s a lie the fandom made up. Half of the fandom is weird asf when it comes to Yeosang and don’t care to do research or include actual important things when it comes to his part of these “introductions”.
ppl say it's a lie but it actually happened. he says it in the KangOn Box episodes. not many atinys know of those episodes so they believe he never actually said it.

@@kazza3282 the only reason I remember is because when I heard it I was like "SO HE DID ACTUALLY SAY IT/SO IT WAS FROM HERE HE SAID IT" and it was during my initial dive into them. watching every piece of content that they had back then. which wasn't much compared to now
