Seonghwa complained before that when he went shopping with his mom he was jealous because he also wanted to wear the feminine clothes. And now he has done it, and he seems so much happier.
This is something I feel thankful to kq for, for allowing them to have creative freedom in styling and inputting their ideas into mvs and performances. I love seeing ateez in skirts and feminine clothing! But the gender envy for seonghwa is so real lmao

yunho biggest 'flaw' is his self deprecating hesitance to put himself forward, when he says his good at games, he is REALLY good, top 500 in Korea for valorant at Radiant level good. San is known to be the black belt holder so he doesn't talk about or display the fact that he too holds 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo and hapkido; two different disciplines. Wooyoung and Mingi do dance covers, so he prefers to support that instead but Wooyoung has adorabrably got him to do a TikTok thingy that was jawdropping. hence why Ateez and many OT8 atinys are always hyping/campaigning for him get more love to boost his confidence to shine. seems like it's working a little too. he's less shy about being sexy/showy, iykyk, his singing/dancing is subtle and restrained if he's in group, he only let's loose during freestyle. this shyness is to the point his members tease him about being a cathedral oppa. Yeosang too is successfully overcoming this shyness (the muscles coming in probably helps lol) since halazia, his hug me cover recently was absolutely heartwarming. let's hope the two puppy baritone bros get their superstar boost. I agree completely with what you said about the deeper voices. (Minho of shinee doesn't get that recognition either) the stuff they do add layers, body and depth for the song. Mingi IS smart and sensitive, he's just differently attuned. that gets him teased ALOT and sometimes it does get a bit concerning but the members are really good and soothing him. YUNHO mingi will ALWAYS pick Yunho.
btw, the others also got their licences recently. so they're driving themselves these days.
As a musician, Ateez was a life changing experience for me, too. I get it.
Hongjoong is actually the most demon of the demon line, his face expressions are terrifying lol especially for Halloween

I’ve been a K-pop fan for over a decade now and attended many concerts. Seeing Ateez live was literally one of the most magical moments in my life. They are probably the best performers and live performers I’ve seen. The crowd chants were so loud it didn’t even feel real. I definitely recommend checking out their other b-sides, and they have pretty much everything under the spectrum. I recommend searching up a ateez b side genre chart that’s somewhere online. Despite their powerful and talented stage image, they are really kind and soft hearted boys who are the most humble artists I know. Thank you so much for reacting to my ult group!!

Ateez sound good recording, but they sound even better live. I know you said you probably aren’t ready for their lives, it’s a must. You’d be missing out so much if you didn’t react to them at some point or another. Also, I’d like to say thank you for giving ATEEZ a chance despite their title songs mainly being hit or miss for you. Not saying ATEEZ is underrated because obviously they aren’t, but I think they’re under appreciated for how good they are. Though I guess maybe it does mainly come down to the music preference, and I can totally understand being iffy at first due to the many hard-hitting, aggressive, anthem-like title tracks. I thought they were one of the most unique groups, whether it be how they sound or the concepts they do/storyline they have. Similar to MONSTA X but with less hesitation, I was iffy about the hard-hitting songs too because sometimes I think they can be too much and not as melodic as I like (do note though, that despite MONSTA X title tracks sometimes being that too, I’m wholeheartedly a MONBEBE as well and they’re also in my top 4 groups). But they make it work and once you take a chance on them, I can confidently say that you’ll never want to back out. Rather than still being iffy about their title tracks, you’ll end up getting so used to them that you’ll love them and want more of it. Plus, personally I think all their title tracks are bops because they either have unique instrumentals or even if it’s not too unique it’s still catchy or the chorus is so iconic and so catchy it ends up getting stuck in your head after a listen or two. And once you become more familiar with them and their music and sound, you’ll realize any song, concept, or genre they do ultimately becomes their own and it’s super evident. I love that about them. They’ve been at a point where people who know about them can confidently say “oh ya that’s totally ATEEZ-like (or that’s so ATEEZ of them- in the best way possible of course).” They’ve made a name for themselves and a unique sound that you won’t often see in kpop
Mingi wrote and produced a song called untitled. Its about his struggles when on hiatus. It is moving.
1:23:14 You hit the nail. He looks up to EXO Kai the most. Kai treats him (and Seonghwa) as his hoobaes. San and Seonghwa mentioned that they ate out together with him too. They did a ROVER challenge together and San was over the moon when it happened because they were able to make it work even if they didn't have promo schedules on music shows when Kai did.
Also jongho is the president of us monbebe also :) from my understanding besides his own group monsta x is his favorite group. And he loves them as much as we do :)

something fun to know is the interesting fate that brought ATEEZ together... the first to join was hongjoon and seonghwa joined when he felt inspired by him, san and jongho are distant cousins, mingi and yunho were best friends but they stopped seeing each other for a while long time and they met again in KQ, and finally Yeosang left Bighit to join KQ and Wooyoung also left her to go and succeed with Yeosang
There was another one where multiple of them found out they were at the same concert predebut some time later too
Fr even Jongho. He was considering leaving KQ even after being in the debut lineup due to being tired and unsure of being an idol due to bad experiance at his previous company.
once you’re done with your deep dive of mvs or if you ever want a break to do anything else, they have a tonnnn of covers, mostly singing covers, i really recommend those!
& immortal songs performances and ESPECIALLY Jongho’s solo immortal songs performance! - his fan cam of the performance doesn’t get blocked ;)

1:04:10 Yeosang and Wooyoung were friends even before joining KQ as they were both former BigHit trainees and met each other when they were 17. In the past, Yeosang would believe it if you point to a cat and says its a dog. Wooyoung basically taught him how the real world works and we can only imagine what kind of pranks he pulled to change Yeosang's personality. Some members also joked about how Wooyoung tainted Yeosang and now they all suffer (when Yeo calls them out) and Yeo also got his revenge by making Wooyoung, (the very reason for his change) the target of his savageness.
Yeosang is still MC yeah, he's the longest running idol mc (3 years so far)

My first kpop concert was Ateez in London and it was literally a life changing experience. They are incredible live act, I cannot recommend enough to check them out

love seeing you catching up with ATEEZ, as a shawol, my daughter was very excited about introducing them to me as "her Shinee". I have to agree, their fearless experimentation with music, sincere connection with their fans and absolute dedication to being true to their craft? also that their main music maestro is the pocket dynamite who a sweetheart? hongjoong, jonghyun says hello. I'm not ashamed to say that while shines was away, ateez kept me amazed with their live singing, killer performances and silly crazy antics

Ateez are just different like they are so good so talented so nice and beautiful and unique and just good human beings and beautiful inside out so no wonder why a lot of people are falling for them and they keep having more and more fans they deserve it honestly 🔥

thank you for this reaction! i really really enjoyed it! 💗 a few things i wanted to answer: yes, seonghwa still does make up, and has even shown us what he likes to use. One Idol San really looks up to is Kai, so he and Seonghwa really fanboyed when they did the Rover challenge with him (Seonghwa even gifted him a Lego set because he knew he liked it too). Mingi's Fix On also sounds like his Surname - Song - if you say it repeatedly, so it kinda has a double meaning there. And Jongho is pretty much the rizzler of the group (next too Woo) and so funny. he also likes to undress the other members on occasion haha. and yess: you have to check him out on Lee Mujin (and Hongjoong too 💗)

Apparently, I have a thing for sweet, goofy, sincere, and ethereal men. I laughed when you called him intimidating and I thought back to watching him build Legos for three hours on a live and him talking in Animal Crossing noises.
Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and San are the Demon line. They are the ones that do a full 180 from sweet smiley boys to actual evil monster performers.

They are a stand out in kpop, what i love about them beside personality, music and strong stage presence is their mics are always on! and they have rly good developed trained vocals. They are artists that stick to their style and concept and don't want to change or please an radio friendly audience just to fit their liking. Because of hard work and talent they always come back even better and stronger. I also love that u can watch them perform one song over and over again and it will always feel like ur watching it for the first time because they give 200% into every performance. Jongho is a baekhyun fan and his vocal coach was the same as baekhyun's. I remember when discovering ateez i saw a lot of clips of them dancing and singing to exo's group and solo music and even cbx.

theres lots of comments so im sure some of this stuff has already been said hehe, but anyways-
yunho is said like "yoon-ho". seonghwa is definitely a HUGE sweetheart and does still often talk about makeup and his clothing style. San's role model is Exo's Kai and they have recently become close :) the list of idols who look up to san is growing everyday too. yeosang is still an MC for the show~ mingi has talked about his hiatus and does so mainly through lyrics, namely the songs turbulence, Youth, and his self released song called untitled. jonghos did have classical training i believe. and he was trained by the same coach as exo's baekhyun.
of course a lot of new info is out since this guide was made, including hongjoong and mingis producing credits, seonghwa doing more rapping, ateez having unit songs, and more members having their drivers license lol, hongjoong's partnership with balmain, ateez number 1 on billboard!
There's so much of the "destiny" parts to ATEEZ. Not only is it the name given to their pirate ship, and what was used to create the ATINY name, but also the things that brought members together. Yunho and Mingi auditioning without telling the other; Yeosang and Wooyoung leaving Big Hit (and yes, presumably TXT would have been where they would have ended up, though I can't see it); Seonghwa hearing about Hong Joong; the Choi connection making San and Jongho distant relatives basically gives every member a connection of some sort to another member. How crazy is that? And for KQ to take on a teenager who wanted to write his own songs and use him as a basis for the company's idol group... it's crazy as a concept, but it's clear it worked out spectacularly. They have such a stupidly wide-ranging discography that you could throw a dart at a musical style and ATEEZ has a section or a song that incorporates it. You'll probably find more b-sides than titles that you'll fall in love with, just because there are more vocal-heavy songs in b-sides (except Turbulence, which is highly recommended in MV and live forms). They'll make the deep dive worthwhile for you, and they truly don't disappoint. Glad to have you back on the ATINY ship!
Thank you for this video reaction! This is my favorite guide for Ateez that is currently out there on RUclips. My bias is Yunho, he looks like a prince but his personality is something I admire the most, and his voice tone and dancing style are my favorite in the group. But I also have a soft spot for demon line, and honestly, all 8 are so talented and fun in their own way. I get your interest in San, he’s a cutie and a beast and a magnet for new fans. I’m also a baby Atiny, I knew them for some time before but I fell into the rabbit hole with Bouncy. Can’t wait until you get to know them better through their discography and maybe their variety shows! ❤
I've followed you since you started your reactions to EXO, I was only EXO-L back then, when I met ATEEZ in 2021 it was as if my eyes were only for them, once you become Atiny (their fan) you never leave from there, you literally lose interest in other groups

I recommend the Black Cat Nero Halloween performance video (which is basically an insane MV) and the live performance (KBS world TV; Immortal Songs 2). This is a cover from an old song by Turbo and the mv features the original singer. They also have Halloween versions of their own songs that you can get to later =)

2:10:04 Jongho's training is actually from the same vocal coach as EXO Baekhyun has. The coach specifically noted that Jongho is among the top 3 students he is the most proud of (other two being Baekhyun and Haechan).
As someone who has been to a few kpop concerts i can uonestly tell you seeing ATEEZ in concert was a life changing experience. CORE MEMORY CREATED! best experience of my life
Yeah, they haven't made any major changes in their appearances, but a few of them bulked up, a few of them caked up, and all of them have really grown into themselves. It's been a joy to watch them grow up. :D

Ateez's discography is incredibly diverse. They have some incredible bsides. I also definitely recommend listening to their new album in its entirety. They did unit songs for the first time and every member had a hand in writing and producing (Mingi and Hongjoong produced their unit songs) their unit songs.
when you were getting into snsd, i was waiting for your reactions every week, it was so much fun for me then of course snsd content ended at some point and i wasn't really into other groups except ateez, so sadly i wasn't enjoying the content anymore so i unsubscire but god knows how much i love your reactions, so ateez is here and i'm back! happy to see you enjoying their music and members. thank you!!
