He left IU and their program has never been the same. Pretty much sums it up.

"Never been the same" is an understatement. Sadly a joke of a program for being the number one state in the US for basketball. I read from a philosopher once to "judge by statistics." If the someone is not liked but they out produce everyone else then that person has protection. Judge by stats on the graph. One can always assign a stat and give a person a graph and an executive can look at it every week.

the interviewer interrupts far too often. maybe she has a list of questions she wanna get done, but I guess PPL are more interetEd in rob's opinions rather then her questions

Bob Knight is a polarizing figure. He's very bright. His emotions got in the way of being a 5 Time National Champion or even more. Either way I love the General. 3 National Titles ain't bad at all.

While some people would object to Bob Knight's hard driven personality over something as trivial as basketball most would agree that his personality would be great for straightening out kids who have behavioral problems and are at risk of failing in life. This is my opinion on most things, strictness is the remedy for the wayward, while guidance and encouragement is for those people who try to walk the straight and narrow, always striving to do their best at whatever it may be. To me to want to walk the straight and narrow is in a sense being strict with yourself and that should make a positive impression on any coach and leader of whatever he or she may be.

Knight isn't a businessman, let him explain his philosophy in basketball terms and then let the viewers decide how to apply those ideas to their own lives. Don't ask him how to run a business when he specializes in coaching basketball. Very frustrating.

although that title is more conducive to what he's saying, it doesn't really catch the audience's attention. he called it "the power of negative thinking" because it's more ironic and controversial. the power of being a realist sounds too bland. his title his more thought-provoking. it's all about marketing your book hahaha

Geez, she needed to tell the folks in her ear to shut up and let him conclude his points. Her follow ups are great, so you can tell that she was told to ask another questions at times which messed up some of this interview.

I dont think preparing for something Is negative thinking or being careful is. Positive thinking does not mean to not prepare and just take massive arrogant risks. preparing is sensible. doing so enthusiastically and preparing is a mix of positivity and sesibility. being honest isnt neceasarily negatove eitither

Bobby Knight stays up late trying to invent a game plan that calls for all pass, no dribbling, full court press defense and keep the shooting to a minimum. And, no freshmen starters, and kids stay in school for five years. Ideally, all his players would be terrified of him and enraged at their opponent. In the end, win the championship, everybody graduates, and half the kids commit suicide.
