It's the land that costs money, not the materials for the building. And in China, sadly you can't even perpetually own land in cities. It reverts to state ownership after several decades.
@@Delinae state ownership lowers housing affordability, if not now at least in the future. let that sink in a moment before replying. case study: singapore.
Extremely impressive that they did all of that within a day! Here is the states it takes them years to fix some pothole and cracks on a road! For example: They have blocked off one of the main roads near my house for a little over a year now, but they haven't even gotten people in there to start fixing the road yet! At this rate it could take three years by the time they finished tearing down a stretch of road about 65 yard long and repave it with new asphalt! Maybe what we need is a Chinese company! I'm sure they could do it within 3 days or less and the result would probably be better to boot!
China is so innovative, they even have buildings that can be deconstructed in seconds, and they don't even need to have a crew to do it. It is fully automated!
I remember watching a European documentary film saying Pre-fab Housing (a lot of which are from China) would be THE future housing solution. It's efficient and cost-effective. As China continue to put it to test and perfect this product, the world will greatly benefit from this technology.
Rome is an empire, probably started from unification of towns, diplomatic relations and conquest. This sad building is pre-made in large factory and assembled using the latest technology without a battle nearby.
I know this looks impressive and everything, but I'd wait a couple of years and watch for any negative in the track record before considering living there.
How can a tall building like that survive quakes, storms and floods when there isn't a underground foundation? Normal concrete buildings foundations piled to a certain depth
The modules were MANUFACTURED in the factory. And the building was CONSTRUCTED on a building site. Learn some basic english before you embarrass yourself.
I sleep almost all day and if i saw this when waking up next time that a whole new building just popped up my mind would just escape from my body and i would just question my whole existence that for how many years i was sleeping
Meanwhile, it is taking 2 years and counting for plumbers in my area to replace the main hot water tank and everyone in my area has gone without hot water (only lukewarm) for two years. Just one tank.
oh, this kinda building you can build 1000 buildings in a day because it's not constructed it's just like an assembled. but in our country they built buildings that are very strong in which cement is used with very powerful bricks.
2 ways to avoid earthquake: super heavy or super light. This building chooses second solution. In the Forbidden City, some small-scale temples with relatively simple structures will choose not to lay the foundation, but to directly put precision-calculated columns on stone bases to avoid the impact of earthquakes and effects of thermal deformations on the structure.
The whole thing should be extremely safe because if my understanding is correct : Each building block is caged inside a stainless steel frame. And these steel cages are then assembled together with huge screws on each side. This whole structure should withstand huge earthquakes.
They have to. They produce way too much raw construction material than they could spent. Most of their newly constructed buildings are not occupied. Hence the "ghost cities".
And lastly the reason why it's so hard for CCP to make changes is because change of policies won't happen until there is order from the highest level guys, or maybe the top one guy. but those old uneducated bureaucrats only care about face projects like space exploration, they are so uneducated the only education they received is communist indoctrinations. CCP needs to give every functional departments incentives to better themselves and give every level of government or public institutes a certain degree of autonomy so they have the right to better themselves, or at least be open to opinions from low levels of governmental organizations! These old uneducated brainwashed cadres can't possibly know how to deal with everything ranging from education to housing to scientific research correctly and professionally! you can't expect to wait for commands from them to make changes, they might not notice it in their life time or next life since all they do is reciting communist indoctrinations routinely! And this has been arguably the most detrimental downside of Communist governments! Not allowing opinions from the bottom, suppressing speeches so no low level guys dare to give opinions. The one top guy determines every thing! also insensitive to public opinions, the top one guy has more power then the rest of the entire population! It's even worse then imperialism because in imperialism at least people are not indoctrinating or brainwashing each other, the governance structure is better and science developed and prospered in imperial societies, China got out of imperialism 1 hundred years ago, but shortly after fell right into something even worse! That's unfortunate and we demand all the changes mentioned above!
@Allen Burger Do they have any science papers published? If not, So what if they graduated from science, does that make China able to publish more higher quality academic works than the US, or does that make the academic scandals typical of China any less?
@Allen Burger Yes, I heard the system made the scientists prioritized publishing scientific papers in science magazines instead of issuing warnings right away in the case of COVID. If that's true, then it needs to change.
If anyone wants to know, this is called prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction. It is used to a certain degree of success for short form buildings. Recently in Singapore, they have developed a 40 story ppvc. It is a tried and tested method with years of research and prototyping.
I remember while the last time I stayed in India, a hospital being built didn’t complete even a single floor in the couple months I stayed despite having workers there almost every day
They didn't build an apartment building in a day. They prefabricated a bunch of boxes. Then stack them on top of each other and glue them together, That's not building in a day. It was literally not built in a day, Because the things that are being stack took more than a day to build, It just took them a day to put them on top of each other

if it's completely safe to live and earthquake proof I'd live there
2 ways to avoid earthquake: super heavy or super light. This building chooses second solution.
In the Forbidden City, some small-scale temples with relatively simple structures will choose not to lay the foundation, but to directly put precision-calculated columns on stone bases to avoid the impact of earthquakes and effects of thermal deformations on the structure.
Rent is expensive in china
That's definitely an earthquake proof building. A prefab rooms, and storeys are built in with bearings and suspension to absorb shock.
It is not..no main steel beam
well unless the earthquake can make the whole building fall whole sideways, i think it's quite safe
I’m just concerned about how safe the building is, especially for natural disasters
Weight is the key factor here.
There's a lot of Tofu Dreg buildings in China, this building gives me more hope because it's prefabricated
Concern your own country please, look Turkey
@@robbiekop7 same as in Turkey?
The whole thing should be extremely safe because if my understanding is correct :
Each building block is caged inside a stainless steel frame. And these steel cages are then assembled together with huge screws on each side.
This whole structure should withstand huge earthquakes.
China is always speedrunning almost everything
Next: Speed running human creation any %
They have to.
And I can see that pieces being send overseas. That can easily be a solution to the housing crisis in countries like mine.
If anyone wants to know, this is called prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction. It is used to a certain degree of success for short form buildings. Recently in Singapore, they have developed a 40 story ppvc. It is a tried and tested method with years of research and prototyping.
Why? Is it stronger than normal buildings in terms of withstanding natural disasters?
