Jason Alexander has a story I think also on the Stern show where playing George didn't "click" until he had a realization that "Oh, George is just Larry David!"
larry david is so inspiring, knowing that its possible to still have fun and enjoy life even at a much older age is great to see, for larry things just keep getting better
He would only attend if it's at a restaurant. Saw an interview with Ted Danson and he talked about how Larry won't go to people's homes for dinners because social norms dictate he'd have to stay the whole time. At a restaurant, he can end it when he's ready.
CURB is brilliant, and hilarious in parts. The “Beloved Aunt” episode had me laughing out loud. Larry David is a comedy gem. He’s written so much great stuff.
The 1984 Season of SNL is my favorite season. I was a little young for the original cast, but I loved Eddie Murphy. The season with Crystal, Short and Guest was terrific.
@jasonmiller5586 This seems to just be a thing people say with no real reasoning. If you watch most of his interviews he just regurgitates stories that he’s read about the guest while they nod along. Barely counts as an ‘interview’.
@@jasonmiller5586 Hard disagree. He’s gotten by on his willingness to be crude during a time when that was on the rise, but corporations were still pushing against it.
Larry said he couldn't get a cab to get home, he had to walk. But he lived in the Manhattan Plaza (subsidized residential complex) at 9th Avenue with 43rd Street, that's only a 15 min walk from SNL Studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
"investments" he'd be > 2 BILLION "easily" - it's where he invests Do this. Put in 1,000,000 at 5% for just 5 YEARS You get 1,276,282 He's made 276,282 thousand (now replace that with MILLION) So he's easily worth after 20 years since Seinfeld over 2B. You're welcome .
Larry's biggest problem on SNL at the time he was there, so much of the talent wrote skits themselves. No way you are getting your stuff on over the talent actually performing it if they have something equally or even close to the same level of funny. It all worked out of him in the long run.
I love that George quitting then just going back in on Monday as if nothing happened was based on a true story!
I actually seen this happen at a call center.
😂😂😂
Well turns out the character of George is actually based on Larry!
Jason Alexander has a story I think also on the Stern show where playing George didn't "click" until he had a realization that "Oh, George is just Larry David!"
Not only that, but Larry David's real neighbor at the time was named Kenny Kramer, and it was his idea to go back and pretend it didn't happen.
Simply the BEST ... forever Larry David comedy. Ty Larry for all you've done/and still do.
RIP, Larry was the best . The goat
larry david is so inspiring, knowing that its possible to still have fun and enjoy life even at a much older age is great to see, for larry things just keep getting better
I REALLY wish Howard would let his guests tell their own stories
Ah he’s told this story a million times, it was kind of fun to see Larry react to someone else telling it
@@joeb588 Um, but that is not an interview then. And Howard prides himself on being the great interviewer.
Larry David would be my number one ultimate dinner party guest.
careful what you wish for.
He'd definitely be in the middle

Larry brings me happiness!

Larry is everywhere!!!
It’s called marketing. Last season of curb is starting.
Except Stern which is why we get a clip from almost 10 years ago. 😆
@@dopy8418and it’s over 😭
It just goes to show, the most important thing is really just showing up.
Amen
I love David.. please always continue to shine your comedic light on us poor miserable souls 🤷🏽♀️🙌🏾🫶🏾
That's gold, Jerry - GOLD!
Larry is my hero!
Thats one of those pivotal moments. Had he not gone back, life would be probably much different.
Thanks to the real Kramer
Larry David is brilliant. Love Curb and Seinfeld.
Larry David is a folk hero for the inadequate male. Pure genius.
Hysterical - I don't have Sirius but would love to see the entire episode.
its available on piratebay
Legendary way to keep your job.
LARRY IS LEGEND!
I wished somebody would tell the current SNL writers what Larry said at 3:12.
This show STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAHNKKSSS!!!
Why does Howard always say what the guest is thinking? Just ask a question and let them tell the story.
To push them into that answer.
He’s one of the best interviewers, ever. I trust his techniques, based on results.
@@jasonmiller5586 To each their own, it irritates me but I'm clearly in the minority.

Comedian’s exaggerate stories to make them funnier.
That's far if it's freezing cold.
@@bsota8513 was he naked?
thanks for all the great laughs!
1:30 sparks on the counter
It's crazy that SNL did the same thing to J.B Smoove and cut out all of his scripts when he was a writer on the show.
Thats a hilarious SNL story
❤ great love larry
I love LD! ❤
Over 9 years ago, alright! That's why Howard is THE BEST
(Thanks for the upload tho :)
GENIUS
I would love to see Larry, Conan and Howard all together
Love him
such a Kramer scene too 😄
3:12 Me quitting Wrestling in 2003 after Stone Cold and The Rock left
Damn, what a resume: SNL, Seinfeld, Curb. Have to wonder what else he's done that launched him into SNL.
A show with Michael Richards called "Friday's."
I don't know when exactly it was but he did do a feature film pretty early on called 'Sour Grapes'.
Edit: It was later than I thought 1998
dont include snl, he did nothing there.
Brilliant
Howard should really let his guests tell their own stories.
Where can I get this full interview
Larry David is worth $950 M's in 2024 almost a COOL SMOOTH $B

I thought that was Fred.
@@kikieaddy2576@3:59 Benjy’s laugh always breaks the fourth wall.
every interview is a mini-curb episode lol
Larry, spit the gum out, you're on the radio.
It worked because most comedy writers are crazy and this behavior wasn't far from the norm.
am I insane or did he just tell the story of him not actually quitting SNL
Two of a kind 😂
I don't see it.
Stern should just interview himself.

Which episode is that in Seinfeld?
Do you respect wood?
That's a great story.
RIP, Larry was the best
He’s dead?!
Larry David out of control 😂
He couldn't do more seinfeld but then did 12 seasons of curb
maybe change the title so the quotes are around "Quitting" not "SNL" lol?
No way Larry David could be as despicable as Howard Stern .
Funny!
HOW ABOUT SOME CURRENT STUFF!!!
I wonder if that works nit having the job too. Just go in there, sit on the couch and pitch some jokes.
hoard taking none stop lary said 2 words
That's a riot ~ but I wouldn't try it at Morgan Stanley. 🙃😇
Defintely "Not Penske material"...
LMFAO
3:05 - 3:21 - 😆🤣
Who’s Larry’s dentist? Those teeth look grear
😂 !!!
😂😂😂
SNL hasn’t been funny in 15+ years so it’s no wonder Larry David walked out after telling them the truth about that show. SNL just isn’t funny
He wrote for SNL 35+years ago, so no he wasn't telling the truth
LD!!
If only Stern had STFU and let him tell the story
Larry is funny. Howard is not.
Howard is the interviewer, Larry is a comedian. Duh
Howard isn’t close to Larry in talent !!
Different talents. Larry couldn't do what howard does.
Um. Can Howard let Larry tell the story...?
His
Larry is 10,000 times funnier than Howard. Howard does good interviews, but he hasn't been funny since the 90s.
That’s probably because one of them is a comedian and one of them is an interviewer
Norm MacDonald's mistake was that he should have used the platform he had to also publicly attack Ebersol and not just Dick's pal OJ.
I dont believe Howard has a single friend 🤣
Larry seems to have regrets. He's intrigued and on the fence.
David's a punk....
Isn't professional wrestling worked?
Larry will do anything for a little publicity. Do you think the Elmo stuff wasn't planned? Dudes CRAVES attention
sarcasm?
I'd say he knows the Elmo actors for sure
The whole thing was hilarious lol
Blah blah blah
