Regardless of Dest's red card, under Gregg Berhalter we have just not been good enough. It's clear he cant take the team forward to the level needed to be competitive in Copa and the World Cup. Its time for change.

He could have easily given the yellow and kept it moving, or just talked it out and smoothed things over. Heck he could have even talked to his linemen first and then talked to Dest. Instead he demonstrated how poor of a command he has over matches like this.

He’s gotta understand that concacaf refs are not fifa referees and have been and always will be the worst refs on the planet, and that any opportunity he gives them they will take with full force.
The original call was bad but the two yellows were warranted. His tantrum was selfish and put his team in a position where they had to work much harder. It also doesn’t exactly reflect well on the US.

The Trinidad & Tobago Men's National Team is one of the most underrated teams in the region in spite of some of the recent poor results against the USMNT. Make no mistake...player-for-player, the Trinidad and Tobago players are more skillful than the US players. But the T&T team lacks funding for good reliable international world world-class coaching etc. In a nutshell, if T&T had the USA's Men's National Team's budget, the T&T team would be unstoppable.

Between McKinney acting like a child, Dest and Reyna, the USMNT is without discipline. Average defense, average coaching and average ability to score = OVERATED. As a fan that's been watching since Kyle Rote Jr. played, it's been fun to watch our development. Now the USMNT is at a stage where they can win if they get serious and focus on their weaknesses and being consistent.
It takes years if not decades to change the culture of football. The U.S. is relatively new to the game.
