@@Yhuntermusic Are the midi learn and options the same as before? Plan on using a midimix or midi fighter for automation, faders, knobs etc. and probably a keyboard or synth too with mpc one+. One more, can you select multiple tracks in the arranger to manipulate simultaneously for example rec/obverdub, automation, eq, erase etc. or does this have to be done one at a time? You did it with the first four bars of the beat for the drums to show how initially, it is a multi-touch screen after all, or an option to select multiple tracks or pads within the track would be nice. Probably the most concise demo yet. Thanks. I’ll probably just stay at v2.15. I liked using internal plugins just to compose and having options to change the program to MIDI to use external sounds later. Or I started with an external sound and I found a plugin patch that was good enough to use. Maybe I want to use a Keygroup later of something I auto sampled. It seems like you’re committed to a track type from the start and that’s great for some but I don’t think I can make it work for me. I’m probably not a typical MPC user and use the MPC because songs don’t come linear for me. I make what is clear in my head and build the rest out as it comes into focus. DAW are more last mile type stuff. If the new software works like a DAW, i might as well force myself into a DAW.
The problem I had with the old way was when you import multiple programs into a session it takes up hella ram amd most the time Im just auditioning diff. Shit so this new way is 🔥, for me , and I been on since the mpc 60
This is a sick demo bro ! Akai is lucky to have you as an advocate. Do you dump your finished beats into your DAW to finish mixing or do you mix in the Key 37?
Not gonna lie, I was a little on the fence about the editing in the arranger view. It doesn't look too bad...hopefully we can get a future update with on the fly editing (physically dragging and slicing with you finger). This is better than what we had so I'm happy!
@@BeatsNBed I think what initially made the arranger look so awkward was that the first few producers who Akai got to showcase MPC 3.0 don’t seem to make music in a songwriting style like this (Ave Mcree might be an exception). They’re all dope producers, but they were asked to showcase a method of production that they weren’t accustomed to doing. I think Yaahn Hunter, Stone Paxton and Dillio2tk really do a good job of showing how to work with the arranger. In my opinion, this is the dopest demo of MPC 3 I’ve seen, so far.
@@brianpinkins6218 I agree 100%! To me this is the biggest feature of MPC3 and it needs to be talked about more. I’d like to see more people bypassing the main screen and producing straight from the arranger.
What I've come to understand from Akai's Andy Mack is that you can still use the Plus and Minus buttons to switch between multiple Programs to preview, They will now just make a new track for you once you've loaded them. Your bass would probably benefit in the track from being quantized a bit more but that's not the point of this video of course.

Hello there, I have got a question. I just bought the arturia keylab essential 61 but i cant figure out how to match the buttons, faders ,... On my midi keyboard to the buttons in logic. Can you pls help me?
Question about syncing mpc to external source: Currently (any firmware before 3) when MPC is sync'd to external source, if you arm an audio track (1 or more)> arm MPC rec or over dub> hit start/play, it only records a blip (very small audio track) and then immediately unarms the track. Is this still the case? If so, Can you (or anyone) please report this to Akai. I use studio one and it hs to be the master clock source. I have no work around to record external audio. I really want to use my MPC in this manner. I'm not alone, but I'd guess it's under reported. I've created a RUclips video and Reddit post as an example.
What I don't understand is that you can register for the beta but nothing happens. I assume that the final realese won't take that long. I mean the beta already exists
There's 2 beta OS's. The private beta & the public beta. These RUclips dudes got the Private beta. After them the people that signed up for the public beta gets to test it & give their feedback to Akai, then, the official MPC3 will come out, but it will most likely not be version 3.0, by then, it might be OS3.1 or something.
For 3.0 that is correct. In 2.0 you could load multiple programs at once and select which one you'd like to use (all within the same track). This was a dope feature but it confused a lot of new MPC users because they couldn't figure out how to access their sounds (programs) they loaded.
