Thanks, great video it brought back memories. I rode that same route for four days from the Haytt on Wacker St to the McCormack Pl. The first time the driver went down and under I thought he was crazy. Being an old retired 30 year driver I kept looking up I knew he was going to take the roof off the bus. Then a driver explained it saves them time and no traffic It was a cool ride. Did PCC have to deadhead busses from Urbana or did you have enough in Chicago to do the shuttling It appeared you were shuttling from the Sheraton Have a Happy Holiday
Are you allowed to turn left over the markings at 11:47? I know the vehicle in front of you did and it seems logical that it should be permitted. I've always thought those markings with the diagonal stripes indicated the road is divided and cannot be crossed. The markings on this road appear to be a recent change completed sometime between 2021 and now when the road was reduced to one lane per direction. Page 80 of the Illinois Rules of the Road 2024 outlines this "Yellow or white diagonal stripes are used to mark fixed obstructions". The pavement markings are slightly different than two way left turn lanes also described on page 80.
I uploaded a similar video a couple weeks ago inspired by yours, but neglected to turn any stabilization features on the gopro on lol. Do you do anything in editing beyond just turning hypersmooth up a notch or two?
It connects from McCormick Place to the hotels in the north, so it bypasses most of the traffic through downtown. I can't say exactly where it runs through since it's restricted access
These videos are so calming
Thanks for the ride, Albert!
Thanks for joining along! :D

I can tell the front row of passengers always stiffen up when going down 😅 No, we used just Chicago-based buses for this particular shuttle
Another great video brother
Thank you! 😊

I believe you answered your own question

No extra stabilization done while editing! I use the Insta360 GO3 camera and just use standard stabilization.
@@alblua Ahhh sorry, I assumed it was a gopro. Looks good and thanks for the info!
What's up Buddy Albert Happy Wednesday Enjoy your Happy Holidays plus have a nice Merry Christmas🎅🏻🎄⛄
Happy holidays to you as well! :)
Those underground bus routes are cool, Ive seen the bus way in the Miami area, it was neat as well
It's a secret many have seen, but don't realize it's there 😅
Will Chicago base buses will get their own yard to park in?
Yes, that's the plan
University of Chicago Gleecher Center! Was there a few months ago for work!
Yes my favorite content creator how are you Albert btw when you thru that busway where was it located

@alblua ok gotcha Happy Holidays Albert
I love the busway. The best way to cheat traffic legally is to become a bus driver and drive down the busway!
It's the best "secret" of Chicago
is that shortcut used to be railway?
I don't believe so, it just runs along the Metra Electric tracks. I'm not sure if they tore any tracks out to make more room.
lost count on how many waves he did :)
Hahaha, bus driver wave galore
Im kind of sad..
Sorry to hear that 🙏
Its not your fault its just that... 😭
The reason I'm sad because I never met Santa and it's almost 2025
The year is not over yet 💪
