Shaq had the most unstoppable drop step, had a jump hook over both shoulders, had a running hook, shimmy fake, spin move, and hardly ever traveled. He was very skilled in the post
@@aaronparrish1943. You are literally on a video showcasing how Shaq had more than just strength😂 He had skill to shoot the the hook from far in the paint
How in the hell are you supposed to defend someone 7'1, 340 lbs. with that agility? The guy had a jump-hook but could also turn either way for a jumper. Then you had to worry about his spin moves with back to the bucket. Just not fair.
I always forget that shaq can do things like this lol. My image of shaq is him overpowering every center and dunking on them with his nuts or their face.
He had to operate vertically in the airspace above his own footprint. He wasn't allowed to shoulder-charge through a defender's chest while everyone goes"ooh ahh unstoppable downhill." If we've lost some of that classic low post play, it's because a star driving the ball to the basket rarely gets a whistle for charging these days. Why bother with fancy footwork when you can just light the afterburners and blast your way to the rim, scattering defenders all over? 😂
Yeah 6ft from the rim, hard to miss that blindfolded. Get him to free throw range, put a straight line in front of him, stop the play and put everybody to the side and see how he does lol. Not too bad form if he was throwing darts.
Negative bud. Theres a ton of variations of the “jumphook” and theres a plethora of ways to get to a specific spot on the floor in order to shoot that shot. Everytime lebron drives to the rim he gets a layup. So does that mean he has 1 move?
The young and ignorant. Shaq prefers to turn left so they're playing him for that but then he hits them with this move and defenders are shook. You're missing the footwork it takes to get him in this position. And let's not forget - this version of Shaq was 340 lbs.
People forget about Shaq's baby hook. That is what made him unstoppable from 1999-2002. He had really good touch around 5-10 feet.

I love his one-handed jumpers in the lane
I like how much of these clips are from WCF opponents, the finals, big games.
Shaq was insane in the post, man js so extremely skilled there
Critics : He only have one move.
Bro if that move is unstoppable, then it is more than enough
How many moves Shaq suppose to have? He had great footwork, can turn both ways off that one hand shot and he had a hook. He wasn't all dunks
It's like Kareem's skyhook, Jordan's fadeaway, and Tim Duncan's bank shot
Be fr bra he ain't have no moves that was cooking people he was just stronger than people and they couldn't do nun about it
And that's better than "cooking" people.

He was extremely fast getting the ball up. Especially from a rebound.
Love that baby hook
Beautiful
Bread and butter move
The "all Shaq can do is dunk" camp are shocked when they see this.
They have to be 12 years old saying that
So beautiful
BEST CENTER OF ALL TIME.
Third behind Hakeem and Kareem
That shit was pretty as hell man
3:27 two guys desperately trying to guard him

😂🤣 true
Dennis Rodman and Ben Wallace managed it, somehow 🤣🤣
THIS IS MY ERA, EVERY PLAYER AROUND SHAQ I KNOW THEM ! FOR ME THIS IS THE GOLDEN DAYS OF THE NBA !!!
1:10 - nobody can stop that. Unless your the '04 Pistons and Big Ben Wallace=Hack A Shaq!
Just as unstoppable as Kareem's hook.
What he did was the baby hook, not the sky hook
@@mireiyokoyama1983he never called it the sky hook
@@mireiyokoyama1983reading is fundamental
@@Chuida17 What this guy meant was that Kareem always did the skyhook, and Shaq always did the babyhook

Shaq was steph & dame from 5 to 10 feet 😅💯
No he was just Shaq
@@hualien0403 😄
He could shoot
Damn he never used the left hand hook lol
WHY DID YOU ONLY POST LEFT SHOULDER TURN ?? NO FOOTAGE OF HIM GOING RIGHT??
Some of them were actually one handed jump shots

Anymore kobe vids?
Why is no one using this move anymore ? As a suns fans why can’t ayton do this ?
Because he is weak
Shaq would average Wilt like numbers if he played today.
Shaq wouldn't be as big as he was in today's NBA. He would have to stay in his Orlando Magic shape. He would still be a legend tho.
Wilt played against plumbers and firemen

I mean you couldn’t do any of this on a fisher price hoop soooo 😂
It's hard to believe, watching these films, that Shaq was not good at free throws.
he only has right hand
He only needs right hand
And no one stopped it😂😂
So... he has one move

A hook shot isn't a move. How you get into position for a hook shot (or any shot for that matter) is the move
The one move happens to be a deadly one.
He was also good over the left shoulder and he had a nice spin move. Very good touch for someone so strong.
