Slurry Spreading and Plowing After Silage

- In this video you can see us spreading cow slurry on our field that we mowed for silage. We will plow this field and plant corn on it; if it stops raining...
At the end you can see my father plowing. He was having a hard time because of wet ground so he was doing it in sections: some one day and the rest the next day, so that the water drained a little.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I want to share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia.
We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M.
We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn.
We also have 7 hectares of forest.

Sorry to hear you got corona virus and it has affected your smell. We hear about the deaths but not t u é other ways Young People can be affected.
Anyways, great work with the grass silage and preparation for maize.
The slurry agitators/stirrers in Ireland are all mounted behind the tractor and only put into tank when using them, then removed.
Yeah... 🙄 We're still waiting for dry weather to prepare for planting, maybe this week 🙃 yeah, it might be better this way, though ours is holding pretty good regarding corrosion 🤔

Sorry to hear you got covid! Was it really rough on you besides your taste/smell/ were you hospitalized/how long was you down with covid? So I take it you cannot eat fried eggs? Damn that's one bizarre combination manure, slurry, and fried eggs all smell the same:) Have you had any other lasting side effects? I was lucky I never got covid/never took a shot, precaution/prepare was in the front of everything I did.
Yes it was pretty bad but I weren't hospitalized. Haha yeah it was really strange but its back to normal now, I can eat fried eggs again 😁 no, the lack of smell and taste lasted a couple of months but other than that no other side effects 🤔 That's good to hear, hope you stay healthy 🙂👍
Why was the fenders off on the john deere? Then you put then back on, me personally love tractors wuth out fenders lol

yeah, I have them back but it isn't what it used to be 🤔 haha, sadly not, it's a new smell actually, at first it bothered me but now I'm used to it 😅
Which one is your preferred tractor, resp. which one is the best? I am asking, since three years ago I purchased an new tractor and I got quotations from JD, DF and NH (alternatively a used Fendt). I went for the 62 HP Deutz Fahr and up till today, I am quite happy with it. Anyway, which one is your favorite one?
Well I would say the Deutz is better than JD, but the JD is newer and has better cab so it's a little nicer to work with 🤔

We did 3 years ago, currently we dont but next year probably again 😉

Its 3,5 m3. Well depends what kind of tractor do you have and what kind of fields... 🤔
@@farmerspov4709 we Have 100 HP tractor And the Fields are really weird in our place, some are flat, some are at Hills, i was thinking maybe 5m3 max, bigger seems like a trouble at the hills

They are both 85 hp 😉
