    Three furrows, that's more familiar for me, but it should red and green 😉. Here we just got started with field work.

    I really enjoyed watching you prepare the soil. I never saw a three point hitch plow that could swivel. That sure saves you a lot of time. The field looks great. 👍

      Yeah it pulled it quite well 😀 well this is arable field, we just seed grass after corn.

    Great video, thank you for sharing. Ploughing looks actually really intense, from a driver perspective. I would imagine you have to really pay attention to how you're pulling behind.

    That power harrow, or whatever it is, sure makes a nice seedbed. I feel like all the innovative agricultural equipment is coming out of Europe. Over here in the U.S. stuff just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

      It does 😀 yeah it seems like it, but you have some BIG fields, power-harrowing is a slow process 😅

    the turf is difficult to bury, although if you look closely your plow creates less clod when turning the earth.
    In my opinion it goes a little less in depth than the lemken
    but you did a good job

    What is that second implement you were dragging across the field? looks like a much better idea then my disk. even though its a breaking disk it takes many, many passes to break up the grass.

    How many work hours total to get 5 acres ready including planting? You both done a beautiful job on that field.

    So many questions lol!
    Was this a fallow field? It looks like this was one that you had just mowed for your hay?
    If it was fallow, did you plant the grass, or is it naturally growing?
    What kind of corn do you grow? Or rather is it silage corn?

      No, we seeded grass on this field two years ago, we mowed it for silage and now planted silage corn.

    Não sei onde fica sua fazendo, parece algum lugar da europa. Mas porque arar o solo, não é possível adotar o sistema de plantio direto? E você vai plantar uma gramínea onde já há uma lavoura com gramínea, não fazem rotação de culturas ?

      Yes, Europe, Slovenia. I guess it would be possible but direct planting isn't common around here. We rotate grass and corn, we're very limited with arable land so we plant corn for animal feed where we can, otherwise its just grass fields.

    Why you just don't plow at autumn/winter time and leave it untill spring and just prepare field with harrow? You will spare a lot of fuel (money) and time. Also it will be much faster

      We seed grass in autumn so we get 1 cut in the spring before planting corn.

    Nós aqui no Brasil também temos uma plantadeira pequena de 3 linhas plantamos cerca de 10 hectares e vai muito bem, que quantidade de milho vc planta por ano? Pois as vacas confinadas demandam de uma grande quantidade de alimento diariamente, são quantas vacas? É seu pai que sempre le ajuda com os trabalhos da fazenda?

      Nice 👍 we plant only 2 hectares, but we buy another 2 or 3 hectares of corn. We have 60 cows and heifers. Yes that's my father helping 👍

    Why do you use a 2 rows planter? Because of the terrain? A bigger machine will be more productive. You have the horses, all of them :))

      Same question. They can easily have 4 row planter and be way more productive. Good condition 4 row planter can be found for 2000-3000 euros easily.

      For 5 hectares its much cheaper to hire someone then to buy another planter😅

      Its only 2 hectares so we're done in 4 hours, thats only 4 hours a year for planting 😅 Terrain is the real reason but yes, we could step up to 4 rows now.

      @@farmerspov4709 I agree with you. When you have your tools even if it is not so big or performant but you can do your job with them, keep it up. With the money for a new planter you can buy candies for your cows😄
