Thanks for watching!
Chimney rock is spectacular
Yes! It's breathtaking when you're way up at the top! :)
You talk about it all you want! I have been going to Chimney Rock for 30 years & it remains my favorite place to go, we never get tired of it. Love those trails & The Last of the Mohicans, they used to have the movie soundtrack available in the gift shop by the Chimney. At the top of the newer Skyline trail, the cliffs ahead & to the right are where the old Skyline trail was(leading to the top of the waterfall where the fight scene happened, wish they had left it open), I have walked it many times, it used to be an easier hike because it was a loop trail so you didn't have to go back the way you came). The trail to the bottom of Hickory Nut Falls is spectacular, especially in Autumn, it's nice & wide & coming into sight of the waterfall just takes your breathe away. Thank you for this video, it's nice to see someone enjoying my favorite place even when I can't be there.
I'm from Nicaragua, ando I was there few years ago,is a very wondeful place to visit.my pleasure.
This video is really going to help me plan out my trip! Thank you!
So Glad it helped, Ryanne. Have and awesome trip and thanks for watching :)
You went through the subway but were afraid of the elevator 🤣🤣🤣. I live 15 minutes from Chimney Rock and have never been up there. Love the village though. Thanks for sharing.
Haha, I never thought of it that way! I guess I trust Mother Nature more than I do human ingenuity, lol. If you ever get a chance to head up to the top the views are definitely worth the trip. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
Gorgeous views! And that subway space is super cool!
It's such a fun place to visit! Lots of cool things to look at!!
I wish I could find someone to hike that trail with.
Great views!
It's got some of the best views I've ever seen!
Beautiful 😊
Amazing views from there. I've never been there but looks like really beautiful there. Cool 😎👍
I hope you get a chance to visit it someday. Its in a really cool area with Chimney Rock village and Lake Lure NC all close by. All that makes for a really fun visit!
💜
I love it there! 20 miles east from here is where I want to retire!
It's such a great area! You guys should move there soon!!
@@KurtandSara We want to now that I'm retired. But other things come first. Rutherford County!!!!
@@susanphillips701 Well good luck with everything and I hope you get here soon! Thanks for watching Susan
I live about 5 minutes from chimney rock.
What a wonderful video. We've been thinking about driving over there for a while. We live in East Tennessee so it's not that far from us. We love the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Asheville / Black Mountain area.
Thank you so much for watching and for your nice comment! We hope you got a chance to come here!
@@KurtandSara We went to Chimney Rock last weekend. It's gorgeous. Driving through Bat Cave was interesting 🤣. Driving out of there on those winding roads made me so sick and I threw up all over my husband's truck. Yikes. Thankfully I'd only had a Clif bar and some water so there wasn't much to throw up. 🙃😊😂
Hi, it's beautiful..what would be the best season to visit the park, and a weekend will be enough to walk those amazing stairs?😂 greetings from California..
If I have to do one trail, should I do the skyline trail or the Hickory Nutfall trail?
Chimney Rock is a nice day trip although a bit pricey at $17 a person … I recommend a drive to the top of Mt Mitchell which has a better view and it’s free !
It is a bit pricy for sure! We love Mt Mitchell too, such great views!
Do you know how many stairs to the Top ? .
I do not know that, but its a lot. You can, however, take an elevator from the parking lot up through the mountain to the cafe platform area and then go up about 20 steps to the actual "chimney rock" overlook if you're looking to minimize steps. But you can go much higher than that all along the mountain there.
Thx, How long does it take bottom to top?
That's a hard question to answer, it depends on how good you are at climbing stairs, lol. (There are a lot of them but there is also an elevator as well) I'd say anywhere from 30 mins to an hour depending on how much you stop. Maybe longer if you go all the way to the waterfall. Thanks for watching!
I wanted to buy my gf a mug there 😢
I'm too afraid a cannibals to be that far away from other people
