If FR value is higher, 450 compared to 800, then that means 800 is more restrictive than 450. I think such a conclusion should have been mentioned in the video. 800 FR is allowing more water to go through the membrane and less water is wasted via blue drain pipe. 450 will waste more water compared to 800. Higher FR value should reduce the life of the membrane IMO since it causes more water to pass through the membrane. More water passing through membrane means more wear and tear or higher possibility of membrane blockage which means lesser lifetime of the membrane.
No wrong ....fr blocks drain pipe ...if used 300 fr then water wastage would be less but system will work in high pressure ....more water will go through the membrane

A 75 to 100 GPD RO membrane should use 800 FR. Less GPD membranes should use lesser value FR. Higher FR value means more water will be purified and less will be drained. So FR800 drains less water than FR450.

I just tried joining 2 FR of 450 in parallel and series both but did not make any difference. I noticed same amount of drain water and pure water coming out.
Everything you said is wrong, Flow restrictor is used to restrict the water flow to create pressure on the membrane so that pressured water molecules can pass through the membrane pores, without the Flow restrictor the water just pass over the membrane and go to drain side and you will not get pure water.
What pressure does it create at the membrane? Does it depend on which restrictor one uses? Is the flow restrictor just a skinny tube on the inside? Thanks!

Let's assume the inlet water has a pump of 700 ppm, the wastage water's ppm coming out of the ro membrane might be 800 approx when 350 FR restrictor is used, when using 450 FR it would be around 900+. So using the wrong Flow restrictor would increase water wastage.

Please note that you have mentioned 350 FR would result 800 wastage and 450 would result 900+. I do service for many RO residential systems in my city, most of them have 420ml flow restrictor and 75G memranes, TDS of input water is usually 350 to 500ppm and everything works fine, memranes last for about 3-4 years sometimes more. Usually I try to change the restrictor when changin 75 to 50G membrane and so on. Klaudio Berger very useful tips, thnx!
The Flow restrictor is added to the drain side not to the inlet side, the gasket seal is expanded automatically by the Booster pump pressure at inlet side........... I am sure you don't know anything how it works.
We understand that you have not understood yourself! A restrictor results in back pressure, which necessary for RO, which itself needs pressure to pass through a membrane. Please go through the process of reverse osmosis!

Back pressure caused by the restrictor FORCES water molecules to be pushed through the membrane. This is bypassed when you want to flush the R/O surface to help it keep clear. This can add extra life of the R/O membrane.

Throw it. Product water TDS should be atleast 200 -250 TDS so that you can get necessary minerals. Very low TDS water is closer to distilled water and gets acidic. Thats why tingling taste which people say its sweter...
It depends on motor output value. By the way, 100gpd RO system (domestic) and 300gpd RO system (commercial) use different sized pipes, connectors, etc.

Flow restrictor is used to create pressure on RO membrane. There is one water inlet and 2 outlets(One is for for pure water and other is for waste water) in a RO housing. There is direct flow of water from inlet to outlet. Pure water is taken form membrane from pure water outlet. Now, to extract water through RO membrane requires high pressure. So if we not use flow restrictor, enough pressure will not build up and water will directly pass through outlet. So, by adding flow restrictor pressure build up inside housing and water squeezes through membrane and comes out through pure water outlet. Hope you understand.

Brother use multiple post carbon filter it will make water taste sweet And if you want lower TDS water use multiple ro membrane 100 or 80 gpd membrane 1st and second will be 50gpd in series, Re-circulate second membrane product water to pump inlet with main inlet You will see your TDS drop and taste improve. wud u b so kind enough to post it in hindi, so that all people can understand it . now i have a problem dear. one night the over head tank of ours got emptied and d kent machine installed in our house kept running for 6 hours (without water). from then onward very low water with air is coming out from d tube that ejects rejected water and it takes much much time to fill the container. plz help me out as soon as possible. what might have bn happened and if i call the kent personnel how much will it cost to me . plz let me know.

brother your Solenoid valve has been damaged, please replace it so that problem will be solved.

Can you please explain more how a flow restrictor works and if an RO purifier does have it what will happen? Meaning কি, কি ভাবে কাজ করে, কি জন্য দরকার, না হলে কি সমস্যা ।
Flow restrictor is used to create pressure on RO membrane. There is one water inlet and 2 outlets(One is for for pure water and other is for waste water) in a RO housing. There is direct flow of water from inlet to outlet. Pure water is taken form membrane from pure water outlet. Now, to extract water through RO membrane requires high pressure. So if we not use flow restrictor, enough pressure will not build up and water will directly pass through outlet. So, by adding flow restrictor pressure build up inside housing and water squeezes through membrane and comes out through pure water outlet. Hope you understand.

chenge your high tds ro membrane go with dow filmtech is the best for high tds,,,,,
Brother use multiple post carbon filter it will make water taste sweet
And if you want lower TDS water use multiple ro membrane
100 or 80 gpd membrane 1st and second will be 50gpd in series,
Re-circulate second membrane product water to pump inlet with main inlet
You will see your TDS drop and taste improve.
