Paul McGann gives a devastating performance as a bereaved man, beautifully directed by Mark McGann in this short crowd-funded film, absolutely slathered with awards.
56 seconds in is exactly how I felt two days after my mother passed away, and I was sat in a restaurant with my sister and niece, completely numb. Grief captured perfectly on screen.
I found this by chance, but i so resonate with it. Rex Sidney East 1954 - 2013 The love of my life, not long enough together. Going to visit places we'd been together is helpful.
Finally got round to posting this, I wrote a year ago and each word still stands now. Firstly the songs that accompany this short film is just amazing. With this short film you go on a journey of discovery, of where love never fades and it never dies. It’s always with you, like it always has been from within you. I really enjoyed this so much and I’m always blown away every time I’ve watched it. Though there is no dialogue from Paul McGann in this movie, this shows that you don’t really need any dialogue, because the actions and emotions are expressive enough that they speak the words for themselves. This proves you don’t need words to translate a loss, you can use your actions and emotions too.
A devastatingly beautiful film, with a soul touching soundtrack. A part from charity donations, it was the best use of some of my wages in backing both projects. They deserved every award it got. Still can not believe I was actually able to help and be around for this, it made my life.
So glad I could be involved in the realization of this film! I know it's a bit silly, but the little video message I received has reliably put a smile on my face every time I've watched it, even during what's currently going on in the world. I'm very grateful for that, and I love the film even more now that it seems like the whole world is stumbling blind - like Paul's character, we'll get there... eventually.
Today I found on DWM a feature about the character of Alex Campbell, played by Sonny McGann, and this short was mentioned among his credits. Featuring his father, directed by his uncle.

Hopefully more to be involved with in the future. Thanks Fay

We can console ourselves that at least we know people like ourselves are connecting meaningfully x
I think in my life I’m starting to understand this in a different way. Thank you Mark for expressing this pain so beautifully!!!!
You are so welcome xx
It's so beautiful... and Paul's eyes are perfect... Thank you a lot
Thanks Marina. Yes, those eyes...x

Achingly, beautifully, elegantly honest. Paul McGann can say more with his eyes than many actors can with five pages of script. Well done!
I'd absolutely love to act alongside Paul McGann. What an actor!
Profound, moving and directed with pin point sensitivity. Wonderful.
Thank you SO much
Wow, was this four years ago! I hope you and Caroline are keeping safe and well, Mark.
