@@claritydreamsleeves541 In the 1980's I saw them both a few days apart, , and she was a lot better than Stephen, all coked up and jumping for the whole show. She did not play guitar, just played piano and sang... beautifully;... I was the house band bass player that day. Stephen came another day, and played drums, but I wasn't booked for the night, un fortunately.
@@claritydreamsleeves541 that's precisely what I saw.... same week... Of course I have seen Stills better and Samson definitely not as good(and quite bad actually, in the recent years). I was very (very ) familiar with CSN music at the time, and I happened to remember Veronique's music enough to improvise the bass lines, with no mistake for an hour show. So i'll say that I knew what I saw
@@claritydreamsleeves541 Why wouldn't he? Sanson is a legend on her own and i doubt you've seen one of her concerts or even know her work, career and the impact she had on the french industry to say something like that. Stills himself would disagree as he highly esteem her as an artist (like the whole french industry and people like Elton John who cited her as one of his inspirations in a french interview, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Shirley Bassey etc...).

Stephen Stills has a bad habit of rarely facing the audience.
Not sure I'd want to be seen up there, either. But, it's family.
