I love your card, I will never get tired of snowflakes. I love snowflakes and butterflies, so when I heard the saying that snowflakes are winters butterflies , it all made sence to me. We also have a summer Christmas here in South Afrika, I can only enjoy a white Christmas in cards.
Anne Coffey I live in Upper Hutt, Helen, and its so nice to have a New Zealander who is on RUclips. I have been making cards for about 3 years now after a medical misadventure which left me in a wheelchair. I find your tutorials very informative and inspirational and look forward to the rest of your series. LOL Anne
Itsnice to hear from you Anne, I am in Nelson. I hear from people all over the world, but it's nice to hear from kiwis. I am Glad you have such a wonderful interest in cards. 🎄🎄🎄
I LOVE this card. It is just beautiful! I love snowflakes for Christmas cards also so I know I won’t get tired of seeing them. Thank you for sharing your talents. 💜
What a gorgeous, gorgeous card! When the video first started I didn't think it was a card I would be impressed with but as the layers came to life, wow!!! Because it's so bulky, I'd be inclined to write my holiday message in the card first so as not to open and flatten it (and all your lovely embellishments) once it was done. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Wendy, great suggestions, it isn't as bulky as it appears, as the snowflakes all flatten down, but possible a better card for giving rather than sending in the post.
truly elegant card Helen, and a lot of tips in this video. I laughed along with you when you said "ask me how I know that" about removing the masking tape from the stamp. I think we have all done that. I live in Florida, USA so we have a warm Christmas too usually, but I love snowflake cards, just not the snowflake weather! Looking forward to the rest of your series.
Just beautiful , I have these elements you used so will attempt something similar ,here in uk 🇬🇧 we might have snowflakes however it certainly will be cold. I’ve just found your videos, my hubby also made me a bow maker simple ,effective , and cheaper than the commercial ones. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Angela, I have always wanted to experience a winter Christmas. Aren't we lucky to have husbands who are supportive and make us things to save money! 🎄🎄🎄
Hi Helen Have been waiting for your Xmas series to start.....wasn't disappointed!!!! What a beautiful original style card you created. Lots of inspiration!!! Thank you....Will be looking forward to your next card!!!
Thank you Helen ,I loved this one when I first saw it, have made many many cards the same all my family and friends loved it, thanks you so much for all that you do ,sharing with us mere mortals....hehe! Merry Christmas and safe and Happy New Year to you and your Family...xox
I have just found your channel. What beautiful cards you make. I still love the idea of a white Christmas, however, it's not going to happen over here in Australia. Byron Bay Area, so much sunshine 😀 I love New Zealand, north and south islands. Your snowfields are great and I love Queenstown in winter. Have a wonderful Christmas.
What a beautiful and elegant card, My late husband also made me a bowmaker, and many other items in my craft stash. Oh how I miss his clever projects. Can you please tell me what fine tip glue applicator you use. A tip when you emboss, when you have heat embossed rub the paper again with your antistatic powder after heat application and should remove the static. Thanks for you creations.
Helen, that's a lovely card and your choice of colours are wonderful. I taught a card class a couple years ago that used different things to make wreaths with eg. stars, pine cones, snowflakes etc. Everyone loved it and it made them think of other items they could also use. I noticed at the end of your video you are sitting with a doggy. It looks like mine ( an American Eskimo named Bailey, he was 16 1/2. I miss him so much but loved seeing yours :)
Thank you Amber. Our white dog is a Japanese Spitz, called Zac, I think they are very similar to your one. He is a lovely fella. We also have a red and white border collie and her name is Bayleigh spelt different than yours though. 🎄🎄🎄
Thank you Ros, that is how I would usually do it, I figured if I needed to stick down the panel once I had done it, then I might as well do it all over, probably a bit wasteful, but saved some time in the video. If I wasn't doing the video, I would probably just have used double-sided tape.
What a beautiful card, Helen! I too love snowflakes, even though I've never seen snow. Here in Brazil it can snow in the extreme south region of the country, but it rarely does. I've never offered a snowflake card for the same reason... how do people react? I might give it a shot this year!
Candida I guess there's lots of countries that don't get snow, parts of New Zealand do, down south, but it's very rare for us to have it on the ground, just see it on the mountains that surround us. They are usually received well 🌻🎄🌹
This is lovely. Thank you so much. Could you tell me what the clear grid positioning sheet is called that you use to align your stamps so perfectly is called. I_MUST_HAVE_IT!!!!! Please with a pretty on top xxx
It is a download from My Sweet Petunia who make the Misti, printed onto Acetate. You can also buy something like it at Simon Says Stamp www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Accessories-MISTI-GRID-TRANSPARENCY-mistigt-mistigtsss?currency=USD. I hope this is helpful, I find it very useful!
