    The ability of a robot arm to maintain state resides in the design itself.
    There are two ways you can maintain state without power
    1. Use motors that take more effort to turn than the weight of the arm segment.
    2. Use a worm gear design so that the axis arm is moved by a lead screw turning it's gear. In this configuration, the gear and it's shaft is mounted to replace the current motor position, then, the motor is connected to a lead screw that turns that gear. This requires a bit more program analysis to set up correctly however, once it's set up you do not need to waste energy to keep the arm in place.
    Hope this helps your version two design.

    Hi, thanks for the tutorial. Im used Nema 17 but the motors cant carry the body.
    Question 1: Are we cant use Nema 17 or am I doing something wrong? Motors are working but cannot carry the body.
    Question 2: Can you share the name or link of motors you used if we can not use Nema17?

    • @JackyLe
      @JackyLe  Год назад

      Any step motor should be okay. Just make sure same wire layout to controller . Im not sure why your build can’t work, but you can keep motor separately to check whether without connection with robot body motor and move when send controllers command

      @@JackyLe thanks for answer but i mean i did that (moved motors seperate) and motors are working really good. But when i connected to body, motors cant carry the body. I think Nema 17 is not strong enough
