I got to spend a month in Ireland with Caomhin Mac Aoidh and got to hear some great Donegal fiddle music as well as have a few pints along the way! Great music and memories.
As what we call scotch Irish here who’s ancestors came from that part of Ireland if you listen to our fiddlin here in the Appalachians and then listen to the fiddlin of there you hear very very very little difference it’s great to see the music make its round trip across the pond
Hey Joe Bowbeer, I remember backing you up on guitar at the Linden Tree Coffeehouse Wakefield MA back in the late 1980s. I also remember you sang a song "the Forgetful Rambler" ;) Cheers, Paul H.

Hi, It's one of a series of films my brother made on local musical traditions when he worked at BBC Nothern Ireland.
Thanks. It was very interesting to hear an explanation of the Scottish influence in the Donegal style. --Joe Bowbeer w/The Irish Experience

I believe it was produced in 2005 by BBC Northern Ireland, so it was most probably filmed in 2004/2005.
The credits read "MMI" which would be 2001.
When was this filmed?
Mid 90s by the looks of things.
