Thank you so much for the support! This is definitely an underrated car that I think most people look past. I’m loving it so far and have only heard good things about it😄
Thank you Wesley! I tried checking those pulley bearings and they all seemed fine, but then again I am no mechanic and appreciate any tip or advice from y’all. Have a great day!😄🤙🏼
Chances are that you'll not find another that's been "mechanically totaled" with a nicer interior but you may get lucky.... I'd be surprise if the washer bottle fill doesn't cross with another lexus/toyota one. You may have to look up north to find some interior bits that are in great shape but even though these weren't very very popular they aren't uncommon. Nice series I've hit "Like" and "Subscribe" ;-)
Yeah I might have to! I’ve looked around and sc430 parts are pretty scarce down south here. Thank you so much for the kind words and for the like and subscribe, it really means a lot to me! Have a great day over there🤙🏼🤙🏼
Look around for any indication of the timing belt being done. They are recommended to be done at 90k intervals I believe. I just did one of those belts and this engine for this a jigsaw puzzle. But a great engine but sadly not too fast.
Yes great advice thank you! Is there any way to tell if it’s been done recently without taking it all apart and if there’s no writing or notes from if/when it was done last? Might order that AISIN timing belt kit with the new water pump and hoses just to be sure🤷🏻♂️
@@Atlanticbeachcustoms check the car fax and hope you find something? If there are any records of it going to a shop many times you could call the shop and check with them. Pretty impossible to check the belt with no inspection window.
@@ada-um9nf kinda a jigsaw puzzle for the first time. If I do again, I am sure it will feel like the first time again 😆 and nerve-racking since the car’s heart is in your hands!
@@mechanicalintentions5431 Nice!!! I’ve got some BC coilovers on my QX70 and I love them! That was a pleasant surprise when I found out this car already had some coilovers😄
Gotcha, I just changed all the brakes and pads actually didn’t look too low! In my new video I tried bleeding the rears and got no fluid, any idea from that? Bad ABS skid control module?
@@Atlanticbeachcustoms Driveshaft ABS reluctor ring problems are common with the older examples l hear. I’ve just got one myself. A 2003 with 86k miles. Rough running so I’ve ordered 2 new timing oil valve solenoids. The first job was syphon out a gallon of oil to bring it onto the dipstick scale.
Thanks for the comment Christopher! Definitely got lucky with this one, I’m just constantly searching online for the right one to pop up. It’s just a habit, I like cleaning the entire car when I first get it😂
It started so I subscribed
A true G, for that you get a shoutout next video! Thanks for the support haha🤟🏼
Im in. Thats a good buy. Love these cars. Good luck with it.
Thank you so much for the support Adam! Dropping part 4 today to reveal the new exterior look… one step closer🤞🏼

Even if it didn’t, I’m still in. Awesome videos. Can’t wait to watch the transformation.
Hahaha thank you!🤙🏼
Great job! I love to see someone fix these up!

I would always change those pulley bearings Corey grease on the dielectric grease

FOR $2,000.00 I THINK YOU HIT A HOME RUN. I BELIEVE THESE SOLD FOR 80,000 IN THE EARLY 2000’S. LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING HOW IT COMES OUT. BEST WISHES.
Wow that’s crazy!!! $80k back then is wild, thank you so much for the comment and support!😄
My mom had one back then, it was so nice!

He just got it replaced and supposedly it could've snapped at any second lol. Was the belt hard to replace?

Pretty sweet it came with those coilovers
Right?!
I have BC for my 2008 SC and those look dampening adjustable too.

Brake cleaner and a razor remove those painted bits on windshield
Thank you!!! I’ll give that a try!👍🏼
Nice! Did you change the oil filter as well?
Thank you!!! Yep we did 😄

But yes the seats will be repaired and dyed here soon! Stay tuned🤙🏼
The interior is trash for a luxury convertible, but I guess better than a old miata 😂
Hahaha yeah it definitely isn't in the best of shape. 20 years ago this interior was ahead of the game though!
Nice! Gonna get it out on the road soon?
Thx! Yeah hopefully as soon as I flush and install the new brakes. It’s not really drivable until then😂

good price for it
Not too bad for the amount of damage/issues!
