@@angelschair9388 The village and pillage update came out just a bit ago. It is extremely expansive and would need multiple episodes just to scratch the surface of that sole update.
Just came back and rewatched this entire series. I don't know if you still read these Will, but if you do, this series is actually what first got me interested in playing Minecraft in the first place, many years ago. It was vanilla at first, but over time, especially watching your Solutions in Chaos series, I transitioned to modded Minecraft, and I've been playing ever since. Heck, I'm playing a modpack right now as I write this. You did such a brilliant job with this, it's inspiring to watch.
I actually am currently doing a story driven MC series right now. It's not a guide, but narrative driven. I hope you give it a watch and enjoy. ruclips.net/p/PLn7CSjAPE5FNGvnEfqU5op239NawB5uIi
The BEST guide I've EVER seen on the game MineCraft. Thank you William for ALL the work you put in to this ENTIRE set of guides. I have a new set of goals to achieve along with now KNOWING just what the hell was the WHOLE purpose of this this HUGE game! YOU SIR, ARE TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
It's technically possible to find an end portal with all its eyes. Each block has a ten percent chance of having its eye. Of case the probability of finding an end portal that has all its blocks with eyes already in the is 1 chance in a trillion. If you located 1 stronghold a day, it would only take 2.7 billion years to find such a portal :) Finding a portal with no eyes in its blocks is just above 1 chance in 5.
Easy way to find strongholds faster with less eyes: throw 1 eye up, look at the direction it's going. Now, go in that general direction but not straight towards where the eye is pointing. Now walk a few hundred blocks and throw another one. If there is no noticeable change in direction of the eye you threw, go that way for another few hundred blocks and repeat the process. However, if there is a noticeable change in direction of the eye, go straight towards the direction the eye is pointing, and the distance you walk before you dig down is inversely proportional how much of a change you notice, and directly proportional to how much you skewed the path from the first eye. This all sounds complicated, but is easier done than said. In fact, I find this way to be quite easy even with very little practice, and eventually you'll be able to feel where the stronghold is on any map, with like, 2 ender eyes (assuming that the change was noticeable on your second eye throw and the closest stronghold isn't like, 5k blocks away.) I highly recommend throwing a third eye after going where you think the stronghold is, at least for the first few attempts you do using this strategy. If the eye has a very sharp change in direction or goes directly downwards, you've found it! However, if it goes in a backward direction, that means you've overestimated. No big deal, just walk that way for like, 50 blocks and throw again, it should go down this time.
Very amazing tutorials. I actually learned a lot, and have watched every single vid in this series. Due to all the switcheroo things, I can finally decide to build my dungeons properly. Just something I wanted to do in Minecraft, because of the 3D graphics. Thanks for the tutorials.
Rewatching this series again in 2017, just for pleasure as I know all of this and much more by now. Such a comfy watch! Thanks for the hard work and dedication you put into this, Will. It really shows!
Great series. I would like to add another method of defeating the ender dragon though. If you try and bring a bed to the end and try to sleep on it, it will explode causes damage to you and everything around it. You can use mechanic to defeat the ender dragon by going to bed when the dragon comes near the explosion radius. This methods does significantly more damage to the dragon and is as a faster method, though it also does a lot of damage to you and your armour. Therefore it is advice to enchant your armour with unbreaking and brining some golden apples and/or health regeneration potions with you to the end.
What a great series! I particularly liked the tips on redstone, I could never figure out how to transmit signals down. This helped immensely! I want to share a tip here: the Ender Dragon can be forced to back out of a swoop by throwing snowballs at it. Snowballs can also be used to destroy the healing crystals at lower altitudes. Haven't tried this with chicken eggs yet, but I bet those would work too!
I find the end quite rewarding, Not so much for the egg or boss, but for the easy source of ender pearls that the area makes possible. I often find myself wishing I could do the nether and end in reverse order while looking for nether fortresses.
one simple trick you can also do is edit the pumpkins texture when its on your head. removing the black pumpkin shape obstructing your vision or just simply get a fire aspect sword and hit the enderman with it and the fire will make the enderman teleport a lot of times and they will not come for you again.
I would love a FTB Guide similar to this, I know you are doing your Chaos Ville series however this series is much better because it, well frankly it explains the game a lot better
I loved this series. Even though I've played for a few years it told me some things I didn't know. Great job, Will and I look forward to more info from you. :)
RIP Best series in the universe. I hope you can do series like this but with tekkt, FTB ,Terreria or, over games because this was the only series that I watched on your channel.
I enjoyed this series. It taught me a lot of things about Minecraft that I would have never thought of on my own. This was an awesome adventure to partake in. Thank you!
that what a nice ending will.....if you would do mod guides that would be great. of course. the would you were in, did you cheat? um also could you show us how to build. ive always struggled with that. Does anyone remember when zombies dropped feathers?
Brilliant series! A shame to see it go. I've had Minecraft for over a year now and didn't now half of these things until now. Sure, it's always fun to learn with your friends and discover things together, but something like Alchemy and Enchanting I never tried until now. Thank you, Mr Strife! A guide to modding next, maybe?
Great guide. When you started, I was like "OMG I knob everything about minecraft" but I gave it a try and at the end I learned SO MUCH! I would like to see guide about commands and command blocks because It's more advanced technology.
i got 3 things to say 1. you can break a dragon egg with a piston 2. will this be a map available to download 3. brilliant series this really helped will thanks
I always build a trophy case when I build my permenant/final homes. That dragon egg is an important part of the case as it is always in the centre. I do hope that in the future, to troll fans, mojang will make it so that the egg hatches at a random point after being brought to the overworld. It would be hilarious to bury the egg under someones house and a minecraft day or week later an ender dragon bursts out. Maybe lava can be used to activate the egg. Mojang you may steal my idea.
You would have to bid farewell to the overworld if you did that. Last I checked, Ender Dragons destroy all blocks they pass through except blocks that are native to The End. Thus, hatching an Ender Dragon in any multi-player game would likely be grounds for an instant lifetime ban from the server.
Good point, then I would ask the person who creats this mod to put in a fail safe. While the ender dragon is in the overworld it will take damage. eventually it wll either succumb to its wound and explode or create a temporary portal back to the end. How bout that
hezar5166 Heh. I'm not expert on mod making or gameplay balance, but if you can find a modder who'll make it or if you can make the mod yourself, more power to them/you! If it does happen, it would be interesting to see how popular it could be. Personally, I'd rather have a dragon I could ride than one that would wreck the world, and they've already got a mod that does that. Come to think of it, all you need in order to spawn an Ender Dragon under someone's house is a variation of one of the monster eggs and a dispenser can take care of the rest. I'm not sure, but there might be a monster egg item for dragons already...
in the next snapshot, there have been hints from the developers that endermites (creatures that spawn from enderman teleportation and ender chests) have something to do with the dragon egg (perhaps fertilizing it, though endermen do attack endermites on sight)
Meh. I'm less interested in that and more interested in the underwater temples in snapshot 14w25a. And even then, I spend far more time in FTB modpacks than I do on vanilla, so it would take a lot to pike my interest in vanilla again when most mods are still using older versions as their foundation.
"No one should feel obligated to watch Will's The Minecraft Guide in any way. This is a decision I have made for myself. If it turns out that there are not enough personel to encourage the series, I will lead a replay assault with anyone who is willing to join me. Let there be no illusions! This is likely to be a one way trip, so don't volunteer out of sentiment or emotion. There is a line running down this page. Volunteers, take the starboard side. Everyone else to the port. Make your choise..." So say we all!
Wow I wish I had a world as good as yours, but most of all,What an Amazing series and how much I have learnt from you, although I have been enjoying the pleasures of minecraft for over 2 years now, I have still watched every episode of the Epic and extraordinary minecraft guide!!!!
Well, I suppose there is a reason and game enhancing reward for slaying the End Dragon--as he said, you're free to explore the End. Which means being able to search for an end city, find a shulker for a box, and maybe find an Elytra.
From me heres something I thought I never say thank you for teach me about redstone and more I have trouble learn redstone and I now a cool way but widey way you flood the end with water covering your fall and stoping endermen from spawning
TWO VERY NICE HINTS: ONE bring an ender pearl with you so you can climb the island before the ender dragon knocks you out of it, TWO bring a bucket of water to not receive fall damage (WARNING YOU RE GONNA NEED TO PRACTICE PLACING THE BUCKET ON THE GROUND WHEN YOU FALL)

A new 2017 version of the guide may be necessary, since a lot has changed.
Yeah but it's basically the same
Even more to add now
@@angelschair9388 The village and pillage update came out just a bit ago. It is extremely expansive and would need multiple episodes just to scratch the surface of that sole update.
100%
It still covers the basics, though, although I'd prefer more "update" episodes on these guides.

With this guide we have learned what we need, but now comes our hardest challenge, to actually do it ourself!
Certainly
Killing the ender dragon does give you tons of exp, though.
IKR when you didnt have command in creative. i would build a portal there for it:D
the good old days(sigh) :D
Best MINECRAFT tutorial on the Internet. 👌
The amount of nostalgia im getting is unreal

Another superbly put together series.
The reward is the fucking ridiculous amount of experience
And Eletra.
+Perry Thompson wish will would do. New one to cover 1.9 and 1.10
For knocking down the healing things, using snowballs is a lot easier.
you would have enchanted your stuff so if you have an infinity bow then arrows are alot easier
***** It's better if your not very good at aiming and don't mind waiting.
How's. Ringing a snow golem easier? They won't aim for the crystals and endermna teleport from projectiles, and
I know the series is over, but you should totally add #17 where it talks all about end cities and elytra.
Please do more advanced guides on Minecraft stuff, this serious was great even for someone who is advanced in Minecraft
This series was beyond awesome. Could I request a similar one be done for Don't Starve ?
yes

I hate when people call defeating the ender dragon "beating Minecraft". I don't think Minecraft is a game to be won.
That line..minecraft is an enormous and expansive game... :D!
I honestly think that villages should be the next one. It's more complicated than most people think.
even though i have known most of the stuff throughout this, this has been very interesting and has made me think about somethings in a different way
I watched this from episode 1 and now when it ends it makes me cry
that what a nice ending will.....if you would do mod guides that would be great. of course. the would you were in, did you cheat? um also could you show us how to build. ive always struggled with that.

I found an end portal about an hour into my first world. I had no idea what it was until this video lol. I am considering taking it on now!
Absolutely loved the series, Will. Can't wait for anything new you'll do!
I love listening to your voice! :)

Great series which was well made. Although I knew all of it I really enjoyed it with your clear explation (and lovely voice).
Love the presentation style its clear cohesive and cuts the crap!
I loved the music at the end
I'm Gunna miss this series
You know how after completing a TV series you feel this horrible weight in your heart, yea I feel this right now :(
Also Mr Strife could you please put the finished world up for download.
From me heres something I thought I never say thank you for teach me about redstone and more I have trouble learn redstone and I now a cool way but widey way you flood the end with water covering your fall and stoping endermen from spawning
You can receive the egg by pushing it onto a torch with a piston as well.
Awesome Ending!
Great series Will! You've taught me things I didn't know about the game, and I've been playing for a couple of years now :D
I shed a tear at the end :(
Even i, who played from 2009 learnt stuff from Will xD
TWO VERY NICE HINTS: ONE bring an ender pearl with you so you can climb the island before the ender dragon knocks you out of it, TWO bring a bucket of water to not receive fall damage (WARNING YOU RE GONNA NEED TO PRACTICE PLACING THE BUCKET ON THE GROUND WHEN YOU FALL)
That was a great series.
This should be a mod pack and this creation really rare
Great series, you helped me a lot especially in brewing potions. My deader
I know all of this, the only reason I watch this is because I love your voice
hey william...thanks for all the guide..i learned soo much about this game and I was a noob at the beginning and now i think i am a pro builder and miner to be honest :)...I really thank you for the guides!
Minecraft let's play! We demand it!
