Been seeing people say NOT to have a bipod mounted to the barrel itself due to harmonics cause it will hurt accuracy but question is do you know where the vibrations come from in a 10/22 ? Vibrations start in the back from the bolt itself sliding back cocking the hammer and then hitting the metal bolt pin by chattering...you have to know how to tame the vibrations which then harmonics are canceled as there are many ways to do this...it seems adding a bipod and clamp to the barrel is one way...as I tune my own guns and they perform very very well across the board with any ammo....
I would not have guessed this, seeing how free-floating a rifle barrel is supposed to add to the accuracy because it's not touching the stock. Great video, thanks for sharing it. JT
We've had our differences, clearly. But I do appreciate seeing something of yours I can't 100% agree with. Old "rules of thumb" are good tools. But if we subscribe to them blindly, we miss a lot of opportunities. I have a hatsan spring piston m25 break barrel pistol that I modified into a micro carbine. Including a barrel clamped bipod... And it shoots lights out better with it than without it. Roughly 5/8” 5 shot group at 35 yards at 8fpe with rws shp. Compared to about 1.5" off hand or bags
Hey James!!! Try that on a break barrel like a gamo magnum. What I’m learning that works for me is when I anchor the butt of the rifle into the shoulder allowing the rifle to recoil straight back before it bouncies off to the side or up from the recoil is that my shot seem to be more Accurate when I do this I’m doing an artillery hold. When I use the clamp bi pod setup that you just used I was all over the place on target. But with the bi pod I got lazy and let the legs of the bi pod do all the work so I never bother to snug the butt firmly into the shoulder. But now seeing this video I’m going to try it again. What are your thoughts with this bipod setup on a gamo magnum. P.s I put a piece of leather around barrel as not to scratch it
That is crazy wow. Goes against everything we were taught lol but paper don't lie 😮 Does this work for any rifle or just 10/22? I also noticed your placement up by the stock, does this matter?

I can't believe you can legally shoot a gun in your front yard. So cool !
Yep I live outside city limits
Try longer barrel and longer distance
More stability bud. I did this to a Diana Bandit and it will now smash out to 50 yards.

Thanks for the video

when you shoot a gun the barrel whips.that must dampened the whip so better groups.
Yep
Is that a Ruger 22 Charger and if so how do you like it?
Yep, definitely like it!
That's big nutz!?
Yep!
Would a regular Pistol optic be better?
I just wanna ride the motorcycle 😆
Vroom vroom ! How's the e-bike ?
Really good test 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
And I’ve been seeing comments on other videos that you shouldn’t do this.. Really? Lol
I know right hahah
