Just a note: the Aurora MR that bundles with a game package does have cargo space. Up to 3 scu on containers (2+1 or 1+1+1) can be attached outside under the rear, and 1/8th boxes for deliveries can be placed in the interior behind the pilot's seat where the bed is. So while it has slightly less storage on paper compared to the Mustang, it trades 25% cargo for more conveniences that go further than bedlogging (like for example eating & drinking when needed in places where you can't take off your helmet outside).
Avenger Titan on sale is a no-brainer to me (it was my starter as well), if you can live with it being older and not up to the modern standards (yet). It's very versatile, combat capable, cargo capable, fast and agile, pretty much all we need to get started on anything at all.

I would say if your at the point of getting a nomad skip it and get the cutlass. What you ware getting for not that much more its worth it.

Just a quick not that saying you can NEVER melt your starter (outside of buying another starter) isn't completely true, but only in the case where you've spent enough to get to Concierge level where one of the benefits is always having game access (and thus not actually needing to keep a starter pack at all if you don't want to). It's also worth noting that you don't need to land to bed log, you can also bed log just out in space, too.

Nice to see your back at SC again, look forward to your guides! They really helped me when I started a couple of years back at the release of the Cutter. Still have mine!

I like your style with this. And one correction, the Cutter has 2 gun racks doe some reason.

I’m all about style over function. Function changes constantly while in development. Buy what looks the best. Everything else will change many more times.

Also you don't HAVE to have a starter package once you are in concierge having spent $1000+ you get game access even if you melted all your packages and only have store credit

You get SC game package at the first Concierge level and don't need a starter package anymore.

@Casa - At a certain level of Concierge I think you no longer need the Starter and can melt it at that point and still have access to SC and SQN42. Worth checking. o7

The SQN42 was only given to concierge active at the time they add the sc package. Later Concierge members get SC but not SQN42.

people keep complaining about the price point on the Intrepid, comparing to that of the Titan, but i feel like they are ignoring that if the Titan were released today, with the same build standards as the Intrepid (we cannot deny that a great many more payroll hours went into developing the newest generation of ships than those of the Titan era) then the Titan would absolutely be priced $10 to $20 more than it is now.

Its called "Gold Standard" and the titan is missing alot of hab amenities compared to the intrepid but performs better in cargo and combat. Idk if having a nice interior and early access to engineering equates to 'more value' compared to having better combat and cargo capability, but to most it doesnt. The intrepid should be valued less than or equal to the titan since it has less capability to the core gameplay loops of SC.(intrepid is good at bunkers/box deliveries, mediocre everything else. Also every ship needs a gold standard pass update not a because its more updated we should charge more pass. This is something CIG should do because its the bare fucking minimum not a reason to increase prices.

you should really call it Alpha 4.0 cause it'll confuse people when Release 1.0 comes out

If you dont have a cutti, you dont have a cutti! The cutti is my startership. For solo and duo Player it is the best allrounder! You can figth pve also pvp when you are a good pilot. You have enough cargo for solo Player, a good turrent for duo. The cutti i fast, much firepower, small, sheap repair...
It will my one and only 4.0 starter ship.

I see more C1s than Nomads out there, and more 300s than Intrepids.

You don't need a starter package if you are in the concierge group.

That’s not true if you sink 1k into it you get the game for free and don’t need a starter package
