Watch 200 Dogs Finally Freed From a Dog Meat Farm

- When animal activist group Humane Society International (HSI) arrived at a dog meat farm in the city of Asan, South Korea on March 7, the dogs didn’t seem to know about the huge changes that would be coming their way. While some dogs were standing, barking, and squeezing themselves through metal cages, others were sitting and trembling. These cages were elevated from the ground and under them were piled up feces.
“I don’t mind getting dirty. But it’s emotionally difficult when I see them under extreme stress, because they don’t understand what’s happening,” HSI campaign manager Lee Sang-kyung told VICE, dog feces covering his work clothes as he moved the animals from their cages.
“Sometimes, puppies born in this kind of elevated cage lose their lives, stuck in the wire,” Lee said. “Some owners just leave the dead puppies for their mothers to eat. It’s heartbreaking.“
But Lee is hopeful for the future. “I feel accomplished when dog meat farmers decide to leave the industry and work with us, and also feel proud that we’ve finally rescued once-caged animals and sent them off on a plane,” Lee said. “I picture a bright future ahead of them, where they can run freely.“

Why are these dogs being sent to shelters in US? There are many shelter dogs getting euthanized in the animal shelters across USA.
I think it’s because there’s no guarantee they’ll get actual help in places like Korea where dog meat markets are still a thing. There’s no guarantee that once the dog gets medical attention and sent to new homes they won’t get stolen again and sent straight back.
The US and the UK offer their hand to take all of these dogs off their hands as those markets don’t exist there and never will.

Only animals eat dog aka the only animal that instinctively trusts a human when its alone, needs help. The only time they react violently is when their interactions with people was very bad, where the people abused the dog repeatedly while it approached them for comfort.
Fun fact: Beagles are almost always used for medical research because they very easily forgive the humans that caused intense pain to them. Im talking about amputations, burning the skin, beating and yet they would come to the same person after a few days happy, wagging their tails😭😭🤬
