Iraqi army is well disciplined and well trained compared to the failed Afghan army
You have to understand that america has lost the war in afghanistan the war was imposed and forced on my people the war was not won due to corruption lack of ammunition weapons hospitals because afghan gov stole all the support aid money for them selfs and didnt care for anyone else.
Because Iraq actually has a history of organized warfare. Afghanistan doesn't. Iraq fought dozens of wars throughout the 20th century and the 21st, even when Iraq lost the 1991 Gulf war against extremely overwhelming forces like the USA UK France and 31 more countries Iraq still managed an organized retreat and kept its eastern borders with Iran safe.
Iraqis have a much higher since of nationalisms than the Afghanis, despite Iraq's government being equally or probably more corrupt than the previous Afghan gov Iraqis would still take up arms to fight for their homeland.
This video is so underrated and deserves much more views compared to other Iraqi army videos that have +500k views. This is very well made and I can see you spent much time editing it. Well done

With all due respect to Afghanistan, its not right to compare Iraq with Afghanistan. Iraq has fought many wars ever since ancient times and in recent times they fought Iran, Israel and seized kuwait in couple of hours, and it took more than 20 countries to topple down saddam. Also Iraq as a country is much better in all aspects

@Ali Daddy I mean I can compare the fact that more cash was put into the Iraqi military by giving them updated tanks and attack helicopters. In ANA's arsenal they don't have a good airforce and the majority of their aircraft are propeller driven planes and their helicopters are russian, plus, no tanks.

@@alancient8463 You haven't defeated the American military in Iraq as they begged us back in 2017. Right now ISIS got kicked in so hard to the point we transferred most of the work to the Iraqis. You cannot talk bad anout America as if we didn't come to save yall in 2017 Iraq would be a Afghanistan moment.
@Ali Daddy Nah, it ain't the reason why Afghanistan was lost was because of the ANA and not the US. As after the US was like time to pull out and let the ANA do all the work the Taliban took over the country. Not to mention troop withdrawal happened in 2011 and the original mission in Afghanistan was complete in 2014. Go read a book or do some research before talkin lol.

@@alancient8463 Nah, 1991 we invaded Iraq, then Saddam was refusing to do things so we came back in 2003 to depose him from his status and after a bit of policing, we thought the Iraqi's can do the job so we left in 2014. Then in 2017, ISIS became an issue again and we came back and did a number on ISIS and this time the Iraqis were able to do their job right. Plus, ISIS came about when the US put an Islamic minority that the majority of people in Iraq didn't like as the lead party which caused issues. Not to mention the fact that if you have ever been to war or studied doctrine you know that assaulting a city requires a lot of softening the target as the enemy is dug in with many ambush spaces.

Iraqi special forces and Airforce use the western doctrine of war but they lack equipment due to corrupt politicians. The Iraqi army is typically influenced by its former self, the pre 2003 Iraqi army which utilized the eastern doctrine, although some modernizations have been made.
@@-oi3824 If I may ask how did you come up with that number? Our primary assault rifles are Klashinkov variants from different countries, most of our tanks are Soviet, a hundred or so T-90s about 300 T-72s probably more, and hundreds of T-55s and Type-69s. Our APCs are a thousand or so BMPs and a couple hundred BTRs, main transport helicopters fleet is composed of Mil Mi-17s and attack Helis are Mi-28s and Mi-35s, Strike Jets are Su-24s. Not to mention artillery pieces and rocket artillery.
In comparison we have thousands of Humvess for troops transport and 36 F-16s with some Bell helicopters, M16s and M4 rifles aren't as widely spread among our brigades as Klashinkovs, its a 50/50 percent. I would say its 60% from Russia China Bulgaria Serbia etc and 40% from US and other western countries.
@@-oi3824 We actually have around 80 T-90s exact numbers are unknown but the contract with Russia was around a 100 tanks, all of which were given to the 9th armored division's 35th Brigade. I don't think you ever visited Iraqi military bases? There are hundreds of T-72s, you can never find an exact number for them because they keep restoring old ones and buying from Bulgaria, the estimated number is around 600-800 operated by different factions like the army and Hashd. There are British tanks but they're not spread, I think Hashd uses the chieftains and Pattons seized by Iraq from Iran's army, I do remember seeing British made tanks at Taji camp but they weren't many. As for PT-76s? Bruh thats ancient af, no, PT-76s aren't even close to the numbers of BMPs in service, ML-TBs and BTRs are probably waaay more than PT-76s, I think the last time I saw one of those was at the armor academy used for training? I don't remember well. Idk why you thinking its a shame that we use Soviet equipment? Have you ever served? Do u even live in Iraq? The army has literally thousands of Soviet armored personnel carriers, Hashd only has a couple hundred looted from armor graveyards that belonged to the previous army.
Also I already mentioned that the special forces mainly use western weapons, as for artillery we have a lot of American made M-198s in service but there are more Soviet 155 or 120 mm pieces. Rocket artillery is mainly Russian.
@@-oi3824 I made a mistake with the number of T-90s, after asking a friend who's in the 9th armored division, he mentioned that T-90s are around 30-40 given to their 35th or 34th Brigade, I think he said they swapped the M1s and gave them to the 34th. Its also a coincidence that I'm also affiliated with Iraq's armed forces, although I'm a soldier. May I know where you're serving though Sir? I'm kinda guessing the 16th div.
Plus its not fiction, I really just typed what I usually saw in our inventories, the numbers are estimations from my part although I based them with the contracts for said weapons forgetting that not everything we contract for actually gets delivered, T-72As numbers are really unknown to me, at operations we mainly see Abrams taking the lead role and at military camps there are a lot of T-72As around, I was actually present when the 9th div started its project to restore T-55s and T-72s and by restoring they really just slapped a new paint, to be fair they did a lot of maintenance on the ones that they returned to service, I do understand why T-72As don't usually take the lead in armored sorties, I'd rather be in an Abrams than a Russian made tank, I've seen Abrams take multiple hits and survive from what the T-72s would probably not survive. I heard they call Abrams the castles.
Also a quick note though we don't really have "Armored Divisions" we have one armored division currently the rest are infantry and mechanized infantry like the 8th div.
