I did a 12 hour shift in my car. I ended up in Glasgow city centre where there was a 1.3x boost AND a quest. But it was clear that the jobs were better suited for bikes. Traffic was horrible, parking was horrendous (you'd have to park up and walk 5 minutes to deliver) and even though it was dark, it was clear a bike is best. But where I live, in the suburbs, I know that the car is best.
Yes! I actually forgot to talk about parking! Sometimes you do end up parking miles away after driving around looking for a space - especially when there are one way streets and traffic involved. You’re spot on, bikes for inner city and cars for suburbs. I suspect there are probably inner suburbs where both work well and one may outperform depending on the time of day. Thanks for you comment mate, some great insights!
@@courierquest I sometimes put my e-bike in the car and when I’m at my main job, I go out on the bike and take orders. Our studio is based in the east end of Glasgow, so it’s a nice mix of short bike ride deliveries and linger car ones.
A question: what’s the biggest order you’ve done? Mine was 127 items from a supermarket 🤦♂️
Thanks for the excellent video! Very helpful! Take care and be safe!
Thanks Tamela! Are you trying to decide between the two?
"Favourite machine is the vending machine", classic! Thanks for the comparison Andy. I have been wondering about e-bikes but as you say the comfort of the car leading into the summer has put this on the back burner. I would love to have a bike for the perfect days but I can't justify the spend at the moment just for the odd shift. The add-on electric packs for existing bikes appeals to me as I have a nice light bike but they are still pricey. Keep up the good work mate.
Thanks mate and same to you! Your vid’s are noticeably improving each time! 🙌
And yea that’s it, if you could guarantee the right weather conditions then an ebike wins hands down, all day long. I ended up pausing my lease because we had the opposite problem in Melbourne, it just wouldn’t stop raining! 😂
@@courierquest You are a good presenter and editor!
Thanks dude! I have so much to improve on. I’m rooting for ya, 1k subs in 2023! 🙌
Good video to learn how to drive for Uber Eats, Doordash and other food delivery in South Africa , for new drivers to learn, drive and earn very good money. Thank you. Good luck with your youtube channel Brother. God bless you.❤️🙏👍😁💕
Thank you bro, that’s very kind of you, really appreciate it! Wishing good fortune to you in your endeavours! 🙌
All points are spot on.
Thanks frienjamin!
I rode a regular bike before I rented a E Bike from Zoomo here in Chicago. I drove for GH and DD, and I can say I saw most of my money on a bike. I got on the Metra each day and was Downtown in 15 min. I started out renting my Zoomo bike, but after a year they left my Market and they gave me the option to purchase it, so I did. Now today the food delivery is not what it was two years ago and I'm not making as much, but if I have a choice, biking is what I would do.
Yea I think I agree with you on this mate. I just don't like the idea of beating up my car every day. Especially, like you point out, as food delivery pay is not what it used to be
I prefer a bike tho cause I could just put my Airbuds in and ride all the way💯
Ebike or normal bike? Does it get tiring? I definitely think being on two wheels is more fun!
They need to allow both for people to remain fit with bike use. The number of orders is the main deciding factor because insurance is £1000 per year and that requires 1000 deliveries to make it work and then your in a rabbit hole of endless hours working
I have done eBike in downtown and I still don’t get a lot of jobs. Also my eBike battery is 57.9V when it’s full. If I use pedal assist all shift I get tired I am 58 years old not too fit. I usually do the throttle and that drains the battery faster so within an hour my battery goes from 57.9V to 38.V and when it is less than 15v the battery turns off and I have to use the pedals which kills me. But the most I make on the eBike in Miami FL is $20-$30 in 4 hours cause the entire downtown area is in inundated with people on e-bikes or scooters doing deliveries. A lot of competition. Whilst in a car, I can earn $80-$100 in 4 or 5 hours.
Oh wow that’s a huge difference! This game really does seem to be about supply and demand, it sounds like you’ve figured out where the demand is in your area 🙌
I bought a Chinese ebike. Its battery is 70Ah and it can last for 2 full days. It's called Ebike100. It's available in Australia but I don't know if you can find it in your country.
@ramial-khulaidi3856 I see a lot of ebike100s being used for food delivery! They have a huge box shaped battery, I thought they would have a big range but 2 days is incredible!
@@courierquest yes you're right they're everywhere now, and I was sceptical about it until I tried it myself. Now I have done 2 full months of delivery and the bike works perfectly.
@@ramial-khulaidi3856iiiiinteresting. Thanks for sharing, I’ll pass that on if people ask!
Hey as according to your experience what do you think is best for delivery work. A car or scooter ?
Does the car delivery driver get higher fare than the scooter rider. Or they both get the same kind of money rather they deliver on a car or scooter please explain thank you.
Hey mate. I’ve never tried a scooter so can’t really say. Scooter is obviously cheaper on fuel but car is better in the rain. Scooter is much better in traffic and easier to park but can’t handle big supermarket orders. I can’t comment on fares, maybe someone else reading these comments can help.
It probably depends on where you are and how much traffic there is
@@courierquest thank you very much. I really appreciate your reply to my question.
Moped vs Motorbike vs Car? Which one is best for delivery job? Specially in Leeds city?
I’ve never been to Leeds mate but generally e-bikes are best in city centre and cars are better the further out you go. Mopeds are a good all rounder, easy to find a parking space but still capable of some good speeds.
How about scooter? Bus lines, no parking problems, comfortable seat and cheap to maintain… 🤔
Yea I really think scooter could be the best of both worlds. As long as it’s not torrential rain. Haven’t tried deliveries on one but had a scooter when I was 16 and loved it!
Will am ebike battery charge last for whole day for delivery charge? Or, is there any idea how to run the ebike for whole day for delivery job?
Thanks for the great question! It varies so you’d have to check your bike’s range (how many kms it can do on one charge) and work out how many kms you normally travel in a day.
@@courierquest Thank you so much for your reply. Could you please tell us how many kms do we travel per day doing a delivery job?
How do u charge your phone while your on your bike? I do 10+ hrs but my phone would never last that long.
Great question! I’ve never done anywhere near that long on a bike but you can get pretty good power banks fairly cheap these days that do multiple full charges. Unfortunately though, the more power they pack, the more heavy they seem to be so you have to factor that in. A workaround is getting a small bike bag so you don’t add power bank weight to your back
@@courierquestyep, just use a 10000 power bank that’s more than enough , and before sleep let the phone all charged
hi bro iam in india i like delivery job with your help can u sponsor any work permit i have indian bike licence
Hi Arem, unfortunately I don’t own a business that can sponsor people and I don’t think you can be sponsored to work as a delivery driver. One option you might like to research is a student visa. Sorry I can’t be more help
