I’ve watched so many loom ‘how to’ videos. Yours is THE best! Thank you for the attention to detail for us beginners.
Thank you so much for all the great feedback! I am so happy my video was able to help!!!!!
I watched several loom videos before I saw this one of yours and so far YOUR'S was the easiest to understand and get me started in the right way! Thank you!
I am so glad to hear this! I am so happy
I was able to help! Happy looming !
I agree! I could not get started until I found this video!

I was just going to say that. This is the 4th one I watched and it is the besf one.

I purchased my 1st Looming set two days ago. I have embroidered and sewn for years and wanted to try something new. The looms are rectangle yet the instructions are for a round loom. I've watched numerous RUclips video about the rectangle loom but still haven't felt comfortable enough to start a project. I felt defeated and was really close to returning my purchase. After watching your video I have successfully completed about 50 rows. You are easy to understand and make the instructions idiot proof. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to learning from your skill. I am 62 years old so you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thank you
Wow! Thank you so much for all of the kind words and taking the time to write this ! I appreciate it so much for the support !!!! I am so happy you didn’t give up and you came across my video and that you completed 50 rows! That’s awesome ! Keep up the great work!!!!!!!
I thread the yarn through a stiff straw or a pen tube before starting and it makes it intimately quicker and easier to cast your rows onto the loom 🤫
Wow! That’s a great idea I’ll have to try that next time thank you for sharing this great tip!
Thanks for that, it’s much faster using a pen tube.
I love this, its beautiful 😍
Best tip ever
That's... Actually really brilliant. I'm going to have to try that.
I learn a very specific way and your video got me started like... immediately. If you know other loom stitches, I would LOVE to see your tutorials on them.
Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad my video was able to help you !
You showed me how to use this thing even though I did not thank you so much
I appreciate that! I am glad I could help!
Your video helped me make my first scarf. I've never knitted a day in my life!!
@@MsKryslyn oh my gosh! Thank you for letting me know this! It warms my heart I’m so glad I was able to help!
I really like how you slowly and clearly explain each step. You show them multiple times as well which really helps. Your pace is right on. Not too slow which bores me and I quit watching. And, I didn't have to stop and back up to catch what I missed. Thank you for a great video!
Thank you for all of the great feedback it means a lot!!!!!!!
More loom videos please! I’m making my first baby blanket for my first grand baby and couldn’t get started before this video! I feel so accomplished and I thank you so much, Chad! 🧡
Awww it warms my heart! I am so glad that you were able to learn from this video ! Good luck with the baby blanket ! I am sure it will turn out great !!!!!
Yes, I agree. Easy to understand. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you for this! My 7 year old wanted to learn to loom and this was so easy for her to follow to get started. ❤
How do you join the squares to make blankets
My daughter told me to watch your video, she said your A Great Instructor! Thank YOU for posting!
Awwww thank you for the kind words!!!!!! I’m glad I could help!!!!
I love how you showed how to take it off the loom
Thank you I am glad it could be helpful for you!!!!!!!
I love your castoff. It's so much easier and so much cleaner than any other looming video I've watched. Thank you!!!!!
Thank you! I appreciate it!!!!!
This was so helpful thank you🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🩶🤍🤎
I am so thankful I was able to help you! You are very welcome ! 🙏
I LOVE that Bernat yarn!!! So easy to work with!! I made a hat for a newborn in about 30 minutes cuz the yarn is so Chunky you don't need a million rows to get the length you need. Thanks for the tutorial! I tried making a blanket years ago before there was a RUclips. Couldn't figure it out from the written instructions.
Hopefully my video is able to help and that you can make your project !
Thank you Chad, easily explained. I should be able to start my afghan now.
I just got my first loom to start using it as a type of FUN physical therapy and, the directions privided were so confusing! So, after much hair pulling, many, many useless other videos and language my mother wouldn't approve of I am so relieved to have come across your tutorial! You have saved my sanity and made it easy to understand! Thank you so much!
Wow! I am so glad to help! Thank you for sharing this to me!
THANK YOU! This finally helped me start making a blanket! Seriously your video was sooo helpful because I get so easily frustrated but this was easier than I expected. Thank youuuu!
I am so happy you were able to get started on your blanket and that my video was able to help!!!!!
Tips for beginners:
Don’t wind quote so tightly as those plastic looms will break for you. Easier to manipulate the fiber loops after they’re laid too.
Use an empty pen body tube as a tool(feed the yarn through it) to go quicker AND keep more even tension with less effort. It’s also easier to do and less tiring than using your fingers.
Tension is important but much more critical with multi-ply yarns.
Thanks for all of this! It is greatly appreciated !
@@chadgifford3568 same for your videos, I appreciate them too. Just thought I might would add a few tips that I’ve found were helpful for me. Thanks again✌️
I love you ❤❤ I've watched a million videos before I decided to attempt , and not one video was as good or easy to follow as yours , I had started making hats to donate to dialysis units and chemotherapy patients , Ive been through both so now i want to do more and try to at least make these blankeys for them , thank you a million trillion thank yous ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! Thank you thank you for all the kind and beautiful words! What a great cause you are providing for these patients! Keep up with what you are doing! That is amazing ! I am so glad I could help and be part of your looming journey!
I love how you are so specific and detailed your video is, I came to the right place 😃💕I’m a beginner so I’m gonna try this, thank you!
Thank you for the great feedback! I hope you enjoy looming and please reach out if you have any questions ! Enjoy!
Feed the yarn through a pen tube and casting your rows will be easier and much less fidgety 👻
@@davejones2611 love the advice !
I have watched many loom videos, but this was by far the easiest to follow. Nicely done
Thank you for the great feedback it is greatly appreciated !!!!!!!
Thank you, Chad! I found a loom at a Goodwill store for 99-cents. I bought it and 2 skeins of thick yarn, watched other RUclips videos to learn how to use it (at which point I stopped watching and started looming🤣), and your video has shown me how to finish my work! Again, thank you!
I am so thankful I was able to help! That’s an awesome deal on the loom! Good job for bargain hunting to make and finish your work!
Thank you for this instructional video! I can now feel more confident in what I am going to be making once I receive my new set of long looms.
You are very welcome ! I am so glad I could help ! I hope you enjoy your looming experience !
I'm a beginner and a visual learner, and i love the fact that you went decently slow and didn't fast forward through everything after saying what to do.....thank you so much :)
You are very welcome I am so glad I could help! Please let me know if you need anything else !
I'm going to start looming real soon.
Your video will help me A LOT!💟

Ty for taking your time, clear speech and close views of steps.
You are very welcome! I appreciate the feedback !!!!!
I just started loom knitting. I have been crocheting for 10+ years. I tried to learn how to knit in 2020 during the lockdowns. This is what I will say. Loom knitting is harder than crochet, and what makes it harder is the cast on and bind off. Crochet is very simple. You just make a chain or you make a circle. However, loom knitting I is way easier than real knitting. I like that loom knitting gives the affects of knitting without the torture of actually trying to knit.
You make a lot of great points! Thank you for sharing that !
Thank you very much! I am new to this and I really wanted a creative hobby. Your instructions are very clear and informative. I appreciate it ❤
Thank you for the positive feedback I really
Appreciate ! I am glad that I could help !
Thank you! I am doing a scarf with the same yarn but different colors. I love the blues you chose. I couldn’t figure how to end it. You really helped. Love the shirt.
Thank you so much! I am so glad I was able to help !!!!!!!
Thanks for re-teaching me how to loom knit. My cat has a nice warm new blanket now
Awwwww I am so thankful ! I hope you cat is enjoying it !
Thanks for the tutorial! I got a loom recently and i have been trying to find a tutorial so i could make a scarf for my moms birthday. I used your tutorial and it turned out great! Thanks and have a good day/night!
Oh my gosh! I am so happy my video helped you! Thank you for the feedback! Happy looming !
Omg,I got that same kind of yarn(color & all),& saw a few looms next to the crochet needles when I was picking out a pack. I thought oh wow,I wonder if I could use a loom to make a blanket w/this kind of yarn.!? Becuz the store was closing in 5min.& I was in too much of a hurry to really look into it/give it more thought like I needed to do,,I just decided it prob.wouldn't work right,& talked myself out of getting one..Guess I'm gonna head to the crafts store to get one in a lil while now. Thanks so much 4 this great video(& now I have an idea of exactly what my blanket will prob.look like w/this yarn).Yours looks gorgeous btw!!!❤
Thank you for all the kind words and your story! I am so glad that my video helped you and inspired you in some way! I hope your project turns out well! Please reach out if you have any questions !!!!
You are so patient and kind with your words thank you ❤❤ bless you 🙏🙏
Thank you so much! Blessings to you! Happy looming!
Nothing’s more chad than looming!
But seriously, thank you for the video, watching with my daughter before her first project.
Haha well I hope her project turns out well!!! Thanks for watching !!!!
I just taught myself "with the help of videos like these lol" how to crochet, this past Aug 2021 and am now doing multiple projects. My youngest daughter (5) and one of my nieces (11) wanted to do it with me but insisted I teach them even tho I'm still learning. Long story short I tried and my niece being older than my daughter caught on faster but they both refuse to watch tutorials on it so I bought them looming kits thinking it would be easier for their little hands and now I like it more than they do as well as crochet and my point is, thank you because it's hard to find many informative videos on the craft and I absolutely LOVE the pen idea and you should market or patent your own contraption and sell it!! Thank you!!
What a cool way to bring the family together! So glad yo be part of your looming journey ! Keep up the great work and it will get easier ! Thanks for sharing !
May I ask a question, I just went out and got an infinity loom, my goal is to make blankets for all 4 of my kids and the grand daughter coming this March, I want it to be big enough so that it's something they can keep and use forever, how big of a blanket can be made with them? I haven't found a clear answer. The goal is they can use them as adults
@@shellbell3443 I’m in shock right now ! I never even knew these looms existed. I had to look up what you were talking about with an infinity loom! This is so cool!
I have a link to another one of my videos that may interest you in combining 2 infinity loom pieces together to make a larger one! Let me know your thoughts ! Here is the link to the video :

@@chadgifford3568 lol well I feel I'm learning faster than I thought but I am still terrible with the looming. I can't seem to get certain things right but I'm gonna keep watching your videos and make sense of what I'm doing wrong. Lol let me know if you get the infinity loom and how it goes 😍 and oh yes gonna watch the video now. I am sure it will teach me more! Thank you so much !!!
Lovely paintings in the background...
Thank you!
THANK YOU!!!!! i am now on a path to making a blanket ill be back on how to put more then one piece onto another haha
Awesome! I am so excited for you! Yes please I hope you enjoy your project !

Thanks Chad just bought my first loom, loved your tutorial so easy to follow had a bit of chunky wool in my stash so i did a little sample, i'm quite pleased with it thank you
I am so happy for you! I hope you enjoy looming and your project turns out well! I am so glad I could help!
Thanks very much for your video I was able to do my first loom blanket without any trouble
Thanks so much this video it was incredibly helpful! I just started and have been watching so many vids, I saw a very cool technique where you put the yarn through a straw before tying it on and hold it like a pen when wrapping it around the pegs. It seems to be a lot easier and faster with these smaller pegged looms! Just thought I'd share that with you since you've been so kind to share with us! Your work is beautiful and I hope mine turns out half as good as yours!🤗
Thank you so much for all of the kind words and thank you for sharing ! I wish you all the best on your project if you’d like you can keep me posted on how it turns out !
I was about to give up. Your instruction is the best! Do more!!!
Thank you for all the kind words!!!!!

Thank you for the informative video. We bought a grandchild a huge loom set and she loves it!
That is so wonderful! I am so happy to hear this! I hope she continues to love it! Happy looming !
This is so good! I watched tutorials using the giant figure 8 because I wanted an Afghan but in my absolute beginner move, I had purchased the loom you show here. The instructions were mystifying to me. I can't read how to physically do things and imagine it. All to say: this is great! Just perfect. Also oddly relaxing, was trying ching you do it, almost ASMR. 🤩
Thank you so much for all the positive feedback I am glad that I could help!!!!! I loved your descriptions ! Thanks for sharing !
This was the easiest video I’ve found to explain this! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I do crafts with my younger brother- he knits and I crochet, and we both assure one another that our personal choice method of crafting is the easier one (He also paints while I pencil, and we have the same beliefs here), but I trust you that looming might actually be easier than both. Also, those paintings in the background are so pretty.
Thank you so much for your kind words and sharing your story!
This is an excellent video! Thank you for being so clear and concise. You gave my 7 year old the confidence to try this.
Oh my gosh! I am forever grateful that I was able to make a difference and give your 7 year old the confidence they needed to start looming!!!! It blesses my

Great video. I have had a loom sitting in my closet for yearsssss. I am finally making my first blanket with it. I lost the hook from it. So I’m using a crochet hook and a boba straw. It’s really easy and my hands don’t hurt. 🎉
Wow that’s a great idea and you were able to make it work! I’m glad you finally got it out of the closet after all this time!
The hooks can be bought separately
So easy to follow, Thank You

can I still do this if my loom as the "slip knot " point is on the ends and not the send like yours?
I would suggest that the end bit of yarn is woven through stitches before being cut off after the knot. Very nice work!
Thank you for the recommendation !
