The early 2000s is really showing here. The Chip Skylark character is a reflection of the time that this aired, the hight of boy bands! The Chip Skylark actually is voiced by Chris Kirkpatrick, a member of “NSYNC”. The group that Justin Timberlake used to be part of! I think don’t the group wrote the “My Shiny teeth and me” song but Chris Kirkpatrick did sing it as his voice of Chip Skylark which made it sound like a actual song.

The creator (Butch Hartman) also made Danny Phantom, which they do have necks. I guess it's just the character style.

While I feel bad for how Timmy treated Tootie, the 2000s was exhausting with the "recurring female is creepily obsessed with male character" storylines.
Exactly it ranged from stalkery to straight up sexual harrassment at points.
But yk its "funny when guy is sexually harrassed because the girl is weaker and oblivious to their actions"
Yeah the kanker sisters from ed, edd, and eddy are a prime example of straight up sexual assault territory.

Even as a kid I was uncomfortable that the show calls these scenarios “true love”. True love is both ways.
Nowadays, I know how dangerous it is calling infatuation “true love”, especially in a story meant for kids.
Well, this is actually fixed later in the serie because it's said that Vicky's true love is money. So the reason they can't do anything about this is because Vicky doesn't care about him but about his money
I mean have you seen chowder? How pinnene repeatedly stalked and kissed choweder withiut consent and then chowder was told he had to kiss her bsck to save HER reputation.

In all fairness at least in fairly odd parents we know vicky is insane and majority of her actions arent to be followed
It seems more to me that they just don't want to risk breaking the rules, instead of actually thinking it's True Love. Although, I think they could have probably made that a bit clearer, for a kid's show lol

You know rewatching this as an adult I can't help but feel sorry for Tootie. Not only does she live with Vicky 24/7 but she probably has no friends because being her friend means being around Vicky.

11:30, to add to the teeth thing, when I was younger, I had a tooth that was hurting so much, I decided to take what I heard in a cartoon and "cause pain somewhere else to divert the pain" obviously don't do this, but I did it anyway.
