Lol, amazing! At the car detailing shop we used citrus cleaners and this brings a whole new level to what that means and probabaly smells better than store bought cleaners!
Not only does it look great, but I bet it smells good too!
very cool the results are so clear and clean
Use heating pistol
Boa tarde!!!!!
The last mixture bit amazed me.
Thanks for this helped my headlights massively 😁
Post a vid. Show us.
Glad your headlights are happy
What can we use instead of Sodium Bicarbonate? I don't know what that SB is and where I get it?
A good cutting compound and my DA polisher along with a 4-inch pad and done, except they don't have that lemony smell.
I use marine rubbing compound with a variable speed buffer. Then I change the pad and finish off with car wax. Works like a charm. Takes 10 minutes top to do!
How long will the results last?
@@annettezalar5848 quite a while!
👍👍👍
No clear coat sealer after?
@@MrJohnnyDistortion A good wax will last a long time. When you start to see it fade. Repeat process. Takes less time when headlight isn't too contaminated.
You can do the same thing without the lemon, just water and sandpaper and after finishing with two polishing paste, same effect
Lemon is just an addition like many others, the rest is water and sandpaper which does the lion's work.
What????? Amaizing..i will do that..i got some spray from store and i expended 20 on this crap and just littlepart was no so bad but continued the light bad
.thanks
This is a master chef work :)
Mother’s Aluminum Polish with a polisher will clean them without having to sand, about 2-3 minutes max each side
How?
@Mohammad Rafie use a drill attachment with a 3" polishing foam pad. Add the wheel polish and run the drill at around 2k rpms across the headlight. The wheel polish is more aggressive than car paint polishes and removes oxidation faster. It will yellow in months if you don't protect the bare plastic afterwards though. You can use a good quality clear coat. Or just repolish a few times/yr.
Out of sight! Organic headlights. So tasty and healthy :-)
Thanks for the video. I just did mine on my CLK. I just used
1) wet sandpaper 1200
2) Halfords rubbing compound
3) T-Cut
4) Autoglym Fast Glass
Took about an hour or so. Huge improvement and they are mostly now very clear and smooth. There is a touch of misting inside the headlamp covers here and there but not as much a I thought there was before I started.
Try 1k, sanding in hex pattern (while keeping it wet with spray bottle) across the lens until you don't feel it cutting anymore. Then do the same with 2k an then 3k. After all that use your rubbing compound.
Sidenote" you should never use a " rough scouring pad" to clean headlights regardless of grit size. Silver polish works really good as well. Also, putting on a "headlight protective spray coating" helps reduce the damage caused by UV rays and "fogging". So will adding a small hole to bottom headlight assembly to allow water evaporate (condensation).
I was thinking the same thing... Because I scraped mines with just that same dish washing sponge he used but the rough side, so I know this video is fake 😂😂
Wash well with soap and hot water, sand left to right then up and down with wet 1000 grit sandpaper use a spray bottle of water to keep it wet until you don't feel it cutting anymore. Wash it again warm water and soap and do the same thing with 2k sandpaper until it's not cutting. Wash it and go to 3k. Wash it and use your favorite buffing or polish compound and a microfiber rag to get a great finish.
Impressive!🤔
@@voorhees633 lol thanks.
Al final no es por el limón es por la lija
Creative video, thanks :)
My daughter just bought a 10 dollar kit walmart and worked great
Wow. Fantastic.
Wd 40 at the end, works great
Someone used Colgate toothpaste from the dollar store, polished with it, and then put a clear seal on them. That was over 6 years ago and they are still pretty good.
How please!
I did the toothpaste challenge and it worked pretty well. It did not last for 6 years but, I got more than a year out of it. It’s important to apply a good wax after polishing and remember to apply more wax whenever it seems to be wearing off. I prefer this method to the others .
Someone?
@@vyperr3 Just squeeze small amounts of toothpaste on the surface and rub in circular motions. Wipe and repeat until you get the desired appearance. Spray or wipe on wax and allow to dry. A drill brush attachment makes the job a whole lot easier.
ANY type of buffing compound will work! This is how body shops do it. Buff with compound, or toothpaste if you don't want to go to the store (compound is better), then they spray clear over them. Haven't done it to mine so don't know how much light is reduced like that. I just buy new Chinese aftermarket junk assemblies, no one knows...
Wow !! Long winded but whatever works for you, i use a forced dual action polishing machine with a cutting pad some heavy grade cutting compound buff until clear and add a ceramic coating to protect them from going back to frosted lol 😂
How long lasting this shining?
Es imposibleeee es un trabajo !!! Para nadaaaaa ,,, perdida de tiempo ,!!!! Lijeee y clear !!! Eso es todooo
Thanks for sharing 🙏🥰
Big like 👍👍👍
Buena idea 👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯
The result was outstanding bro, cheap and worthy.. please tell the alternative of Sodium Bicarbonate 😊
=Baking Soda
Awesome 😎
Wow, I'm trying this out.
I used to think it's cleaned inside 🙈 but wondering how to open it
No, the issue is on the outside. The sun beating down on them all day every day causes the plastic to oxidize and turn yellow. That's why when you sand them down an buff them they look new because you cut away the oxidized plastic. Here, the acid in the lemon is doing the work. Only not as well
@@JoeNathan42420 thanks for the explanation
WD-40 Works like a miracle and then light coating of turtlewax for a gleaming polish. But i wouldnt mind trying out this, the results came out so well.
It doesn’t last tho .. only temporary .. I tried
Looks delicious 😋
Man that's a new one at he end lol not falling for that 😂😂
Amazing video
This guy are you for real mate I thought he was gonna cook the head light 😅 I did mine with toothpaste and it was looking like brand new 😂
Was it Colgate mint toothpaste, or?
Excellent
I've tried everything literally...the easiest and best is OFF mosquito repellent. I use the wipes it's much faster
Do this but without lemons lol, the sandpaper does the work and the water cleans the paper and removes the clearcoat and plastic. Wet sand polish and add protection or re-clear the headlight. I did mine and coated with a professional ceramic coating rated for 5 years and it lasted a little over a year and I have to do it again. If you use power tools it should take you about 10 minutes per light depending on condition, shape and access.
I'm positive plane old tap water will work just as good as lemon juice.
There are many ways to de-fog plastic head lights but none last very long. Either part your car inside or in the shade or just replace the lenses.
True u have to polished them very well after cleaning them
Lenses take years to fade naturally. Why do you say defogging doesn't last very long? Could one not seal it in epoxy for a long lasting treatment? Ty!
Oh, you're just a genius.
If you don't have a garage to park your car and is exposed to weather conditions ,buying new lenses won't last too long, best thing to do is simply buy some mothers mag chrome polish and clean them regularly every 3 months, think of it as a preventive maintenance job. People that have a garage or that have a roof to protect the car from extreme weather such as high heat temperature in the summer and extreme cold weather in the winter plus the rain will affect the lenses of the headlights.

How long will new lenses last? In Florida?
Jenius banget boss
Where did you get that brand new headlight????
*Wonderfull*
puedo usar limon mexicano o persa?
Gotta love movie magic
trllu banyak bahannya, klo saya simpel aja klo tuk mengkilatkan kaca motor atau mobil, cukup saya sediakan amplas di gosok lalu tuk menkilatkan yang kusam saya gunakan semprot clear motor.
for how long it stays clean? Just like with WD40 it stays clean for a couple of weeks.
The lemon done nothing it was the sandpaper that done the cleaning
Nice!
Nice 👍🏿
Will fade away again soon, due to uv.
The best way is to sand with 2000 grit sanding paper and water, till the surface has an even milky look, and to cover it with some transparent clearcoat from s spraying can. No polishing needed, if sprayed correctly.
Yes, this is correct. I've done it before and it is still looking ok, about one year now.
Great idea, which spray paint brand would yo recommend or what should I look for incase I don't fint the one you recommend? Thanks
@@DunOpondo If you find smth which claims to be offering extra uv protection, or if you manage to get hold of a specialized clearcoat intended for plastic headlamps (such clearcoats exist) - that would be best. I had none of those at hand and used some cheap canned noname transparent clearcoat for car body painting repairs.
In this scenario, bonding between the protective coat and the plastic is extra (and strongly) supported by plastic surface roughness, hence the clearcoat chemistry is virtually irrelevant.
When spraying, apply the coating in very thin layers. Do not overspray: otherwise the applied too thick coat will generate bubbles / surface defects.
@@dontknowler thanks alot 👍🏿
this is the way 100%

A jednak proszę, jaki rewelacyjny efekt!
Good job
What y’all didn’t see is when he put the new light on the table 🤣🤣🤣
No its the same one see the crack on the headlight
EXACTLY
I agree
*Nickel ! Top ! 👍😁*

Tooth paste works as well
New shimmer is a floor wax. No! New shimmer is a dessert topping. It’s both!
👏 Mantap 🤝🔥🔥🔥🔥
I did it using chilli ketchup and mayonnaise made with extra virgin olive oil the result was very delicious. optional: you can add some garlic if you like it.

Try oil of Olay. It will give a better smooth surface. Noxema do the same thing
Correct permanent way
Wetsand with 400 grit paper till all the milk yellow is off lens then bring to local body shop for automotive clear coat they look new and don't ever fade again
I’m thinking this process is longer than 10 minutes thanks
Definitely! 😂
That headlight got more care than my own skin 😂
I can sand the hell out of your skin if you want me to.

And for your rims ,you want to use plenty of relish.!!🤭
Idk about you guys but As soon as he started spraying the lemon juice I could've swear I smelled it through my phone. No bs!
-El limon un abrasivo sorprendente jajajaja.
Committee products a lot of effort you can go to anybody shop they can take their buffer in a little bit of compound they will buff all the oxidation off and then use a little bit of polish and polish it takes about the maximum five minutes per headlight but remember the plastic Has been damaged by UV and most likely it won’t last but another year and a half two years before it happens again a good way to preserve any headlight that’s plastic is have a clear plastic wrap put on it when it’s in good shape for those are the easiest way
👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Wouldn't water work in place of the lemon juice since your just using wet sand paper?
🤣 Facts
Yeah the lemon thing was pretty dumb
But it smells good :D
@@danielreinhardt7684 and the vitamin C will keep them healthy! XD
Water doesn’t have the acidic enzyme that lemons do
Same results from McGuires headlight restorer .Bad thing is it needs to be applied every 2 weeks to a month or they get foggy again.

Sand lightly and buff. 5 minutes done deal. And you dont have to remove the headlight and bring it to the kitchen and make a lemonade and toothpaste. Fun to watch tho.... Thx
