Bayley’s Campground- Scarborough, Maine

Overall my husband and I would rate it 7/10.
Our thoughts:
PROS
Checking in was quick, easy and efficient.
There was tons to do all over the campground, honestly needed a golf cart because it was just HUGE! So many things to see, and so many beautifully done up campsites. The back of the campground had nice wide spaces. Free trolley- ah yes PLUS the staff on the trolley were the most kind people. How amazing. The ice cream was yummy and the staff were so pleasant. The restaurant was tasty and we would absolutely recommend the lobster rolls and chicken fingers. The kitchen staff were interactive and took it upon themselves to make us feel happy and welcomed. The fireworks were pretty and well done! The stores & all facilities were clean and organized, everything mostly stocked. People seemed to obey the campground speed limits.
CONS: (some are just our luck & some are the campground itself)
Unfortunately where our camper was, was reallyyyyy tight. The neighbors we had were rude and would take our stuff throughout the day without asking. They’d cut through our site and not show much camping etiquette. The pool at times (most of the time) had unsupervised children and young teens who were beyond inappropriate & disrespectful. Prepare to have footballs and frisbees being chucked right by your face. People would be in the streets playing catch and throwing real hard baseballs and wouldn’t move for a carriage of little kids to get by quickly. It’s a shame that this place was attracting many people without morals and good manners during this time. The men maintaining the campground were very nice, however seemed to be less mindful of the space around them at times. We were in the middle of packing up to leave(and hours before departure time technically) & they were about to go under our awning with a lawnmower… the other gentlemen was weed wacking about 2-3 ft from where our two little kids were playing. They were polite when we asked them if they could just hold off for the last 15-20 min while we were finishing up so I appreciated that.
Overall it was a nice campground, but because I’d want to see what else is out there I’m not sure I’d be back anytime soon.
