Linda Perry went from homeless and drug use to being a well respected music producer. This album has many hidden gems. Morphine and Chocolate. Mr President. Many more. It's fun to watch her on stage playing guitar being serenaded by Pink singing What's Up.

@@sexysadie2901 Thanks for correcting me...I usually put (Still?) or something similar about relationships because you never know. I'm mad at myself that I didn't put that disclaimer. 2019 doesn't seem that long ago with all the CV crap the last couple of years but 3 years is a while since they divorced. I am a curious person so I looked up the Gilberts, what's funny is they call them "1/2 sisters," which isn't my definition of 1/2 sisters but I guess I forget adoption counts, too! For 1/2 sisters to be not blood related, it took me a minute to absorb or something. Not sure why they don't refer to them as just sisters, with one adopted. I think of 1/2 siblings as sharing one bio parent. If one is adopted, seems they'd just be sisters. I guess because Sara's bio father wasn't a Gilbert? Confusing! Look, too, and I wasn't going by this - it just seemed I remembered seeing or reading that Sara was adopted but this is what Google says and it doesn't make sense for her bio parents to adopt her. What? Ha ha.: "Sara Gilbert
She was adopted by Barbara Cowan and her next husband Harold Abeles, originally named Sara Rebecca Abeles." Later took the "Gilbert" name. Why on earth are they saying Sara was adopted? She was raised by her bio parents. Just as crazy and inaccurate as I was...ha ha. Anyway, thanks for the correction. I hate spreading falsehoods - that's why I'll usually say, like "Garth & Trisha Yearwood are married (still?)" or something to cover myself - usually. Have a good one!!

@@sexysadie2901 Good grief! I also typed "Roseanna!," instead of "Roseanne!" I also didn't know or remember there was an adopted Johnathan that played Nellie's brother and I'm old enough to have watched the show in Prime Time. He's referred to as their adopted brother but Sara is referred to as Melissa's 1/2 sister? That was strange. Anyway, thanks!

Wow. Did not expect to see THIS today! Everyone knows them for "What's Up?" of course, but this was undoubtedly their second biggest hit. I had to look up to see if they had a third.... I discovered they did a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Misty Mountain Hop". Have to wonder if Linda Perry still sounds as great as she did in the 90s! Speaking of GREAT 90s female voices, I urge you to give Concrete Blonde and their lead singer, Johnette Napolitoano, a second look. You did "Joey" some time ago, a very heavy song that dealth with alcoholism. I think you'd LOVE her vocals in "Caroline", "Everybody Knows", or "Ghost of a Texas Ladies Man".

Hey Folksl! Olivia Neutron Bomb has some other good ones: "Please, Mr. Please," "Suddenly," "Xanadu," I think Jeff Lynn was involved, it was a movie and had "Magic" in it as well. "Let Me Be There," "Fly Away," John Denver with Olivia in background, "Summer Lovin'," "If Not for You," "Don't Stop Believin," not a Journey cover, "A Little More Love," "Twist of Fate," "If You Love Me, Let Me Know," "Make a Move On Me" and "Take a Chance on Me" with John Travolta...one other movie they did. I think I didn't repeat any you've done already. She often sang with the BeeGees and Andy as well. ABBA and Karen Carpenter, too. I know my suggestions are never popular and I get no responses or conversations going, so I'll try not to make anymore recommendations and take up space. This was so great that I cried, oh my God how I cried! It’s ok though because then I took a deep breathe and I got real high… & I, screamed at the top of my lungs… I forget.

Amber I do know what you're saying about relating to this song and her voice.
I'm INFJ and the dreaming Pisces so I totally "get" this song and Linda Perry.

Nice one guys: despite being around at the time I somehow missed this one, so I'm glad I've finally heard it. Here's a fun idea: why not do a reaction to other songs called 'Spaceman'? The one I immediately thought of was by a band called 'Babylon Zoo' and became famous due to a remixed version being used in a Levi's ad in the late 1990s. There was also the recent Eurovision song by Sam Ryder, and there are others by Harry Nilsson, Nick Jonas, The Killers and probably more. (Note that these are all definitely DIFFERENT songs, not covers of the same song).
