Great video, thanks for your style of laying out the trellises. Im putting out my Muscadines Feb 15.
Good luck! It's a lot of work but it's cool seeing them come up...that is until the deer find them lol
This video was so helpful, thank you! Read a lot of diagrams and watched many lectures on youtube, but its always very informative to see the process.
When you have 100000 dollars worth of equipment your not homesteading.
9:17 - Bandit the vineyard dog thinks it's time to play catch on a truly epic scale. Songs will be written about this game of catch.
Keep doing what your're doing. We love it.
great prep/plan work mate! thank you for sharing!
A little sun and some warm air, always makes me feel good. You were in an extraordinary good mood in this video. Wace to see. You remind me of my engineering friend in Rochester, MN.
I have been enjoying your videos.
this was beautiful. so perfect. dream work.
LOL LOL! Okay, now I'm going to watch the rest of your video. The drone fiasco was So funny -
but not funny :(
Thanks for your video! Very informative and helpful.
It's really good to see the new spark from TRM.
Thumbs up as always Jeff! 👍😁
no soil preparation? no compost or amendments? that soil is high in clay, it needs to be ripped to a 2 foot depth minimum.
I know very little about soil prep.
But the vineyards around here grow grapes on dry gravel plains 🤷♂️ (New Zealand)
Rust. Grapevines could be classed as a weed but it produces fruit. If you have the right root stock with a graft of the variety you want you can grow them virtually anywhere even high salt table lands IE Hunter Vally NSW Australia. I have watched vines year on year produce fruit in soil that grass dosnt even grow on
Thank you for sharing the vineyard install project with us. Several friends and neighbors have put in grapes but I haven't had the time to watch. Really enjoyed it.
Keep up the good work!
Great video, but maybe turn the background music a little lower.. Peace
will do
Have they planed out how to keep the deer away from the vines as they get established? And how to keep them out when the fruit is getting ripe?
I am curious as to the angle of the earth anchor: Would it be stronger if put in at the same angle as the wire it is attached to? (As opposed to it being perpendicular as you showed)
You live in a beautiful place!
Tip for working in the sun, wear light coloured, loose fitting full sleeve business shirts from the second hand store.
My Dad reckons the cattle don't care what they look like. He's been farming his whole life and its the best he's found so far, keeps the sun off your skin, collar for neck shade and breathes well. Also cheap.
He's 60 today and his skin looks like an office worker, skin cancer sucks and he's always worked to avoid it.
The sun here is terrible, burn time is about 6 minutes mid summer.
great reco!
You can skin a cat, but can you skin s grape?
