Great knowledge and product!
Love the purple!
Great Job Gary! Cool little device!
This is pretty cool. Nothing like peace of mind when charging batteries. 😊
@@EscapeElectricBikes I don’t really worry about charging my batteries, but a lot of people do so I thought it was a good thing to show on my channel.
This is actually really nice. I think a lot of people will really enjoy this. They have plenty of smart chargers out there, but this just takes your regular charger and turns it into a smart charger. Great idea. Thanks for bringing it to everyone’s attention, including mine.
@@southernebiking your welcome thanks for watching I have smart chargers, but I thought people might feel at ease buying one of these. I know a lot of people have their worries.
Thanks for sharing
Pretty cool Gary, that's another level of security for the charging stage. Batteries are getting better all the time but the huge amount of energy they store is always a concern. Anything like this that adds to the safety is always appreciated! Cheers
@@lifebehindbarz60 I’m pretty confident in today’s batteries and charges, but that extra security is always a good thing I have so many lithium batteries in my garage. It isn’t even funny. I have a fireproof cabinet that I bought to store them in. I only hope it would slow it down. Thanks for watching.
I have never seen this channel before and for some reason I was subscribed to it. Blaming YT not the content creator.
@ulvetid.01 well thank you for not blaming me but if you have an interest in eBikes, stay tuned
You find the coolest stuff Gary
@@Ebiketips1 no basically I only accept the coolest stuff I get three offers a day for stuff that aren’t even related to eBikes
Very cool, thanks
Looks like a great tool to have.
Watching the battery charge...attorney language...😂😅
A lot of the old switch mode chargers had to be manually set to below 58v, 50.4v, etc.
Most chargers today aren't too bad but they all tend to run a little high. The problem with most charges today is many use very different proprietary connectors.
Thank you for sharing this useful device Gary. Just curious is it a real background or AI virtual one? 😀
Do you know what adapters I would need for the Mooncool TK 1 trike ?
@@georgeherman8826 it’s either the 5521 or the 5525 but I’m not sure which one they sent me both one fit one does not they look identical the battery at what I was charging was actually for the TK pro so it’s the same connector
@GarysE-BikeAdventures Thanks Gary
Great video I looked on their website and what adapter is the right one for my lectric one bike? Is it DC5525 adapter?
@@davidwollmer8694 there’s two adapts that look like the same thing but one has a smaller Center. They sent me both because they didn’t know which one I had and I’m not sure what they sent me. I’ll do a little research and see if I can get that answer for you.
@ OK thank you very much. I would like to order one of those charger enhancers
@@davidwollmer8694 these are the two adapters they sent me
Dc 5521 or Dc 5525
If I had to guess from the picture it looks like the 5521 has the larger hole there was nothing on the actual connectors to identify them
@ ok thankyou very much
@ so 5521 with the larger hole is the one you used?
Am I correct that this would allow, for example, a 52 volt baytery charger to charge a 36 or 48 volt battery?
@@MHH3180 I honestly don’t know sounds right, but I’d have to look it up in the book
But I would think if you limited the voltage on 36 V battery to the max voltage on the charger that yes it would charge it to the proper state. I had never even considered that I have charges that I can set it any voltage. I never use the factory charges so I didn’t even think about it.
I even have adapters for all the different kinds of chsrgers. I store e-bikes for The Winter (& provide a tune-up), so it would be nice not having to dig out a different chsrger each time or use the owner's charger when I could use something like this.
@ this is what I use for chargers, cause it’s a lot more money but it would do the job for you. That’s for sure.
amzn.to/41KTnIe
@GarysE-BikeAdventures I have heard bad things about the reliability of those (quality wise).
@@MHH3180 I know I’ve seen a couple of used ones with broken off connectors. They still work, but the connectors were broken off because I tried to use route before I paid for brand new. So I do treat it very carefully. I actually have a tie wrap to my charging station. 😄
Come on Gary post that link
The battery chargers should have this built in , Excellent product
@@freightdawg6762 I think the problem is is the manufacturers try to keep the cost of the E bike down so they’d rather put a $20 charger in the package they don’t wanna pay for the extra stuff, but I agree
