I was actually visiting Nashville when the flood hit. I wasn't staying in actual downtown so I really didn't realize how bad the damage was until I got home last Sunday night and saw pictures on the news. It's just very devastating. And my heart goes out to everyone in Tennessee and everywhere else that was effected by this.
Put yourself in that situation people. You would want to whole world to help also. I just dont understand how people can be so self absorbed and rude to just think of themselves and expect the government is going to do it all. Wake up cause its not going to happen we all need to do something when others are in need. I am glad someone like Kenney is advocating for all these unfortunate people.
Kenny.(: I love you. Like, really. I do. Youre MORE than amazing. Like, words cant even desribe how much you mean to me . Im goin to meet you one day before i die hopefully. Im only a teen right now, but im gonna go ahead and TRY & meet you somehow. I love youu Kenny you are the BEST & you obviously dont, but NEVER listen to people who say junk about you. Rumors are dumb. Just because youre sweet & amazing in every way dont mean anything BAD. Gahh. :) i really love you . (: -Chelsea from Bama:)
This is exactly why we love Kenny
great video!
Saw Kenny yesterday at a restaurant in town. He was sheilding his face by walking with his head down but we noticed him because of the way he was walking. I felt very sorry for him because I know he probably was just hungry and wants to relax while eating like the rest of us. I said a prayer for him and we all let him be. Hope he has a Merry Christmas. We are grateful for your music.
Do not understand what I am hearing and seeing .My husband started singing this song to me . He told me what it was about. And now after seeing the sites Its so hard to Well I will never forget these images I have seen and will keep all in prayers. And keep in mind It is never to late to keep help coming there way as we will. Hang in there We The People will always stand together. Please listen to NASHVILLE SKIES by JDFlud Jeanette
@MrsLarnche grand ole opery, the mall and the hotel are opening around christmas this year i think i wasnt really paying atention to the news x_x i was out watching, helping, etc..
What a great guy!! He definitely uses his fame and fortune to help others!
I LOVE YOU BABY
Clearly Kenney is not asking for himself he is asking for the others who were unfortunate in Tennessee. This is very sad that this happened. Oh and by the way it is our responsibility as human beings to help out one another. Is it the governments responsibility to help an old lady across the street to? No its our responsibility as a whole. Civilians and government to come together and help one another world wide. I hate when people feel they dont need to do anything.
@kraigthorne That is the one thing that confuses me . When Katrina came through , of course Bush was in office then , but he didn't donate a dime to help the victoms . Our government is so rich in money so why can't they donate the money to something useful that will help people .
@martang66 sure thing buddy...take it over...lets see what intel you have to add...
@Bigpolak57 ok ok that was down right hilarious. I was all somber watching then I read that and oh man. Nice work Kanye East ha ha
this is sad
where is your tractor?
@drummerjdb - This vile venom coming from you will only (or is already) come back to you, tenfold. If you were in need, would you spew this hatred to someone who came to your aid? No, you would want forgiveness for posting this. Please throw away these evil comments.
This person has been after both of us for that long? Did he mess with you because of me and now vise versa as long as I'm tortured?
It's too bad that the U.S. government spends so much money and human resources on Iraq & Afgahnistan. That's money that could be spent on helping its own people at home like in Nashville and New Orleans.
@jhaze918 you got enough attention a while back, let some others get the limelight
@freeweed he's not asking for money for himself, but for those others in nashvil that DONT have money, who lost everything in that flood
@Whitevoice14 Wow - what an incredibly racist comment. 1800 people died in Katrina, and 230 000 people in Haiti, but only 30 people died in the Nashville flood. I'm not trying to say that the Nashville situation isn't bad, but how you can say it is equal to or worse than Katrina and Haiti is beyond me.
@Totse112 typical of our country m8 if there isnt any votes to gain or political reasons to act the people suffer greatly for it .
I made a video over the floods. :[
This is a horrible video foreal.''Kenny Chesney''.
Shame on you! He was not asking for your last dollar. Just because he made something with his life you cant expect him to give up his fortune to help out everyone who was affected. im sure he helped out in every way he could, including asking his fans for support also. Your whats wrong with this country today...go pick up your welfare check and get off youtube and get a job!
@preparadox The news only gave it 15 minutes of news coverage. Obama didn't even go to Nashville to look at the damamge, but he's up there around New Jersey for the Hurricane Irene victims. THE FLOODING IS JUST AS BAD!!
Always give ‘ I just seen this didn’t know about it wow 😯’ my prayers are you all out there may God bless ! Kenny we the fans and me I love your kind hearted and what a genuine man . You Rock! Be safe out there love ❤️ April Rayne.
@kmcgill What is also was a shame was that on ABC they were showing highlights of Haiti and nothing about the Nashville flood
there was a flood in nashville?
In 2010
where does kenny live now. on his island or in Nashville..very great heart and soul. wonderful person too
haiti gets more publicity then our own people...kinda sad
Thank you Kenny. I am from there and my family is still there. Many people I know are affected and have even lost loved ones. Bless you for stepping up and posting this...I wish you all the best in your cleanup as well as the rest of the Volunteer State I am so proud to be from.
Cool 👍

💋 Hug. Prayers
Thank goodness for you, Kenny, or else most people wouldn't even know we had a flood. Sadly, I've talked to people from California and all over who still have no idea that anything happened. I will say that I am so proud to be a Nashvillian and live in the Volunteer State!
We're praying for everyone affected by this terrible disaster. I know from personal experience what it's like to have my house flooded....it's a helpless, terrifying feeling. While material things can be replaced, it is still crushing to see homes and lives and everything people have worked for ruined and lost. God bless and love to all:)
If I could, Kenny, I would send money. I know you aren't personally asking for money for yourself, and I know you are doing whatever you can to physically help others there. You say you can replace the things you lost, but, I'm sure there were a few things that you couldn't. It seems unfair that you took this summer off from your concerts, only to find this waiting for you. They say everything happens for a reason. Someday you will find the reason. God Bless You!
@JonnyAgua I did, and wonder why you even bring it up in comparison. Yes, we all felt the same or worse when New Orleans got flooded. It was a disaster like this one.
I know Nashville, and I know how stubborn Tennesseeans can be when they get their mind on something :) I'm one.
This must be one of the worlds greatest tragedies and the world media have virtually ignored it. Thanks Kenny for helping to keep us informed. Those of us on the other side of the world are thanking the internet for keeping us informed. Our thoughts are with all of you who have suffered through this. We visited Nashville last year in July all I ever wanted, was to go to Nashville, Grand Ole Opery take in the history of Country Music. Thinking of you all Cheryl Qld Australia
Good Video Kenny...
Nashville and its people are in my prayers!
all the best..
daniel =)
Oh God no. That means I'm going to go through that shit, I'm praying I die, can't take this shit anymore. Please make sure I die.
@Totse112 that is because 31 people died, not hundreds of thousands. the news has to keep things in perspective, otherwise it would consantly be full of people dying from flu. i cant believe that americans can be so selfish as to complain about such a thing (and being in europe you should know better). what they should be complaining about is their government's inability to deal with national crises
@tonechaser56 Luckily we only had trees come down breaking some fences near the barn, which surprisingly was spared. The river and pond over-flowed into the fields, uprooting more fences. The water was passed the horses' hocks. Thank God there was no real damage, just a mess to clean up. We lost power for only a couple of hours. I'm in the NW Corner. You must be down near the shore?? In 1955 we had a devastating flood, which was even worse than the one in TN.
To those of you making jokes about Kenny Chesney, shame on you! Just because the man has money, doesn't mean his anguish isn't as real as those who have less. A loss is a loss, no matter what the monetary price tag or sentimental value may be. This is a time to help those in need, and not to be making such hurtful comments. People have lost their lives, their loved ones, not just their worldly goods. Where's your humanity, your compassion, your love for thy neighbor? God Bless. Linda
i live i middle tennessee in smith county were were hit prety hard our selfs. most of carthage was under water . its crazy but we all stick together and are getting thru this . @ jonnyAgua.. of course we felt the same when katrina hit New orleans . i dont know why you would think that. i had family in new orleans trying to help in the aftermath of katrina. we should all stick together in this time of need . good people lost there homes and some even lost there lives...
@kraigthorne That's what ticks me off . The governement split into different branches because one party wasn't doing what the other wanted and so forth . But that dosn't make one party better than the other . When our country , county , or state is in need of something the government shouln't think of "the republican state" or the "democratic state " .
@Whitevoice14 All I can say is wow. As someone who has friends of all different racial backgrounds, I hope that one day you'll be able to look past the end of your nose and see that the world is made up of all different types of people - and that everyone is beautiful.
You are a great human being KC. That is why I love your heart and Soul. God Bless
I no this was a while back but I'm sure people are still struggling.
When did it become more important to support other countries than our own? Our people are our family and we need to help our family first!
It makes me sick to think we gave billions of dollars to Haiti and gave so little to our own people. It is a shame!
@MickMan211 well my dad is originally from algood but quite a bit of my family still live in cookeville. It is a great place and they have got some beautiful lakes up near there. love dalehollow. great water skiing there and fishing....
Ur rich man can't u help too?
This is just awful! :( I'm just now catching up with alot of things with me being out of the country.. wish I would've known about this to help just like hurricane katrina :(
SUCH SINCERITY. HOW DEVASTATING I KNOW THAT IS. ITS 2022 NOW MY HEART STILL GOES OUT TO KENNY & NASHVILLE
Hey Kenny I love to help out By doing a Fond Raising in Nashville Im a DJ/Karaoke Entertainer and i love to do it there how can i go about doing that Let Me Know
@420cha Well, well, well......wasn't that just lovely? Did your mom not teach you that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all?
Just like the people of Nashville helped the people of Columbus Indiana when they had their flood.......................Oh wait they didn't do anything.
@drummerjdb how is it sad, he makes good music? theres nothing wrong with people liking entertainers who sing good, innocent country music
Should've stayed in Corryton with the rest of us, Kenny.
Americans help foreign countries in need and feel good about themselves so they feel that they are above charity to the States.
My God Bless you Kenny and other Nashville residents. From a former ETSU classmate.
@Bigpolak57 Either he doesn't care about them or he thinks they're competent enough to handle disasters on their own.
My mother-in-law lives in Davison County and thank god she is okay....I did spread the word to my facebook friends.
I'm crazy for this man..not the star but the man under the halo over his head!
@shazam334 yea and this is america, we need to take care of our own before we go and try to help someone else.
I tried to donate, but it will only let you if you have a Visa. I have Mastercard! Does my money not count??
@harman1369 too bad you wouldn't have fish i would go swimming, all i would need were a pair of goggles!
If it was some Blacks in katrina the world would help or if it was Haiti
Donation has been made to the Red Cross, and prayers will be continuous for those affected. Thank you Kenny, for helping out your fellow Nashville residents. All of us here in the Knoxville area are thinking about them.
sent my text.. and my friend sent like 10 from the display phones at a verizon store...
@kmcgill it became more important when you put yourselves up as the world's police force
@rebeccaparsley215 Ha yeah me too! ...I used to live in Galveston, now I live less than a mile away from downtown Nashville... thankfully i live up on a hill but didn't realize how bad until I saw pictures on friends' facebooks. It was much worse than people think.
Thank you for your prayers!
@Bigpolak57 bahahah thats one of the funniest comments ive read in a long time
@sareij = cursing is the effort of a feeble mind to express itself forcibly.
i like the part where he leaves in his bently to live in his malibu home....
Nashville is in my Prayers.
you should wright a song about the flood in nashville...
It's always a real good idea to build next to a river.
Lmao now were bailing out tennessee?? when will it end!
@Bigpolak57
Like bush cared black people during katrina... right?
Simple man with a big heart..
thats Kenny.
@BoNgWaTeRdEmOn im ready for a revolution... are you?
I'll pray for Nashville!!!!!
U can afford it, go to hair club for men bro.
wow man, sorry you had to go through that.
Who voted this down?
This is why we as a people need to vote people into office that understand America needs less imports , and more exports. Less foreign oil, and more American oil. Smaller government, and smaller taxes.More involvement in American causes such as the farming community. We can not save anyone until we save OURSELF that being said help me in the push ! Encourage no outsourceing, encourage smaller government and much much less foreign spending.-god bless the USA
the whole world is im kussss anyone agree
@sirlafever YOU LIVE NEAR COOKEVILLE?
@BoNgWaTeRdEmOn
Very well said.
Is your tractor Dead?
holy shit!
Its a lake now.
OMG, Thats horrible
OMG…DEAR❤
Prayers & donation sent! Love you & hope you & everyone else in Tennessee can get things back to they way they were very soon! Everyone, please keep the oil spill disaster in your prayers too. We are in the Keys. If it comes this way it would devastate our eco system, foods, & businesses. I know how much you love the Keys too. We moved down here from KC a year ago & don't ever want to leave! You're welcome to hide out at our place any time. :)
God Bless!
Sandy
Dontated, Kenny
My bubby

Did our part in helping out and made a trip to Nashville to the Grand ol Opry after they got it cleaned up. Even bought a couple of guitars at Gruen while I was there with the family.
Great place, hate to see this happen to the community.
