The 18th season of "America's Got Talent" returns with a new set of aspiring performers looking to compete for the ultimate $1 million prize. Executive Producer Simon Cowell returns to the star-studded judging panel with global fashion icon Heidi Klum, fan-favorite comedian Howie Mandel and acclaimed actress and international superstar Sofia Vergara. The dynamic Terry Crews returns as host. This season promises to deliver some of the wildest acts to ever grace the "AGT" stage.

He originally auditioned because he teaches music to kids and they encouraged him to back up his words of “go for it! Believe in yourself!” He’s freekin phenomenal! Old Man Halen!! ❤️❤️❤️. Far better than that kid who did cartwheels

The man is extremely talented. It irritates me that his age is being mentioned so much, it literally has nothing to do with his talent.
I agree he is talented what does it matter about his age i thought it was about how talented someone is even if someone is just say 90 years old for instance if they are talented and enjoy doing it then thats all that matters i wish i could play guitar like
Perhaps it’s to inspire others to let us know that we’re never too old to let our passion stop us?
You hate the truth but his age is the gimmick. The guitarists in the background on stage, the session musicians are 100% better than him at playing and more consistent. But they're not elderly and don't have an interesting story.
@@mikewhocheeseharry5292 trust me that's not the reason. It's younger generations thinking they are the one's who come up with a concept or invention etc... when in fact this man's generation that came up with the concept of rock guitar and shredding.

This guy is top 2 talent wise imo. He shreds like crazy. I’d want him as an electric guitar teacher

He’s ok ..he’s not that good .to people who don’t play guitar he probably seems amazing but everything he played was pretty simple

He's phenomenal. Even for a show filled with talented individuals, he stands out. I think any negative reference to his age is ridiculous. Aside from being insanely talented, there is something incredible about the visual contrast of this unassuming elderly man shredding and rocking out like this. Would be a damn shame if he doesn't advance or, at the very least, come out of this with some recording contract / concert tour.
Not elderly till he wants to be, live life the way you want to live, never grow old, be young Inside my dad Is 93 and he still lives they way he wants to be, you are only as old as you want to be,
First time I don’t agree with Simon he’s absolutely shredded it was so focused didn’t even hear the x 😂
John is my music teacher and along with another lovely teacher called Bob they encouraged me to persue singing,he’s absolutely phenomenal.Simon can’t cope with his skills ✋

Yes it was strange but that’s the whole point Simon…. Not many old men like that can play the guitar like him which I think is pretty damn amazing if you ask me!

He's great, but not exceptional.
He’s not even that old man. He’s 59, which is 5 years older than Dave Grohl and 14 years younger than Springsteen. Same age as the guys in Metallica basically.

He's an excellent musician. The audience knew it. I doubt one of them gave him a pity ovation. They roared, stood, and applauded his performance because he's superb! Shame on the judges for ageist comments.

The point is, is that he’s up their in his age and can play very well. When your older your hands don’t function like they’ve used to especially if he’s been playing guitar for long.

I agree that Simon is in the wrong but I hate when people say “Well you couldn’t do any better” because I bet you couldn’t do better than one of your least favorite singers, make one of your least favorite movies better, or play better than the worst Major league sports player. And I’m not saying I could do better then you, but people are allowed to dislike things/people despite being worse at that

What was strange exactly? As we age, are we supposed to stop using our talents? He's awesome 😎 and his age and style make him strange? Unfortunately, AGT is not the place for super talented people of a certain age.
