He didn't win because he doesn't have a younger brother dying of italian mac and cheese disease, a father who left him, a mother who beat him, a dog who has 2.5 legs, a kidney malfunction, a loss of hair, or an estranged uncle who abused him as a kid.
Oh i understand😂😂😂😂😂😂
Easy Brother...
Italian Mac and cheese disease is serious stuff.😂
People love the victims 😂😂
it sound like a living sacrifice cerenony...😂
This comment took me out 😂😂😂
Marcin is epic. Sadly, there's a difference between "being extremely skilled" and "pleasing the crowd", and winning a competition like this comes down to what the crowd is actually able to recognize and appreciate in a performance. I'm sure the musicians in the comments here agree, Marcin is seriously good.
He's not epic he's a goat of guitarists
He is. I've been studying guitar for 8 years now, most musicians that participate in got talent are complete crap, even those that pass. But Marcin, he's actually good, like really good. I first knew him from a video when he was 15 years old (my age) playing at his conservatory the Paganini caprice nº 24 on guitar. I said, yeah he's very good. Then I saw some videos of him now. But that's why I tell everyone that classical education is important, it gives you the technique you need.
dude that's such a dumb statement lol goat of guitarists lmao he's really good but please.@@progaminginternational6799
Pleasing a crowd is a skill on it's own.
"seriously good" - I wouldn't say that... That's a weak term :DD He's a fucking legend.
As someone who's been a musician (nowhere near professional level) for the majority of my life... This is beyond insane. To take classical pieces like that, port them over to an instrument that they weren't designed to be played on... Or to transpose MULTIPLE instruments pieces into one instrument... Crush the living hell out of it with technical skill... And put an entirely unique spin on it to demonstrate ones own utter mastery and creativity with their instrument is 10,000 leagues beyond what you see in most "professional" mainstream performers. This kid is a once in a multiple generations talent and the fact he didn't win handily is a complete travesty and perfectly demonstrates the devolution of musical culture in the modern era. I'd pay top dollar to watch this kid perform ANY day.
Yeah prodigy whatever you wanna call it I’m impressed. I don’t like all the tapping sorry I like to hear music
Do you know what song is that
@@stevescontriano860 oh look someone trying to be Simon cowell.
Stfu even Simon admitted that this is some of the best music on the stage. You don’t have to like it but that IS music at its finest.
After his first audition I was like “and what more do you need to see to give this kid the win?!?”
Same here ! Top dollar !
Guitar strings when Marcin picks up the guitar
* chuckles: I’m in danger
or: I will not die in vain !
My guitar strings just laugh at me 😂
It's the case when the performer is more talented than all the judges put together...
I'm baffled that this man didn't win. He went through with just shear talent and effort without having any sad emotional impact and I believe that that's something even humans can't do, he's a god.
I think he would have won if he played his songs in a different order. Simon is full of crap -- his last performance wasn't the best.
🙏🏻❤🙏🏻
@Hcirdle - Yeah it's sadly gotta be the whole package, which sucks....
i.e. ala - Black Mirror S1 EP 2 "Fifteen Million Merits"
Its crazy, because ive definitely noticed that all you have to do to initially go on from the auditions is to have an emotional impact story i.e. "Oh yeah, I lost my parents in a tragic car accident 5 years ago, so I turned to music".
Meanwhile this kid literally mixed classical guitar with classic music and some SOAD. And straight up was like "Hey thanks for compliments" and walked off stage. No tears, nothing.
If only he would've had an emotional backstory, he could've won.
The fact that he didn't win just proves that this show, regardless of its name, does not judge contestants based on their talent. They judge contestants based on marketability and how much money they can make from them afterwards. This kid raised the bar for anyone who considers themse proficient at playing the guitar or any other instrument
Makes me think of Marcelito Pomoy, who should have won but just wasn't as flashy as his competitors.
It proves that most americans listen to shitty music.

Marcin is excellent in his style of playing FLAMENCO and he is the best I have ever heard but, when it comes to rock and metal he is not the best. Well maybe I’m wrong.
You ever notice how the ones who are suppose to win don't win and then go on and become great? This guy right here is a
Guitar God. I'll buy all his albums over a lot of guitarists.
Lol I feel like these record companies be like let the runner up take the cash prize. This dudes about to make millions, he wont miss it.
Pure instrumentals don’t really get the credit they deserve, it takes so much natural skill and time to get to the point he’s at. I’m a metal head but when I see crazy talent like this I always need to see more.
What's the song he played from 10:40

Yes I think they know! The show helps them get through to stardom
The fact that this kid didn’t win is just insane …
He’s wining now. Check his channel.
Probably one of the best and most refreshing guitarists I’ve heard in the modern era.
I can’t name the other contestants. I rediscover Marvin with passion every few years. Brother should know I believe he did. This was exposure it was how he builds his name. He wasn’t aiming for the trophy. He wanted one or two chances to impress the hell out of you. And I think he won spectacularly at that.
Marcin is a class all on his own. One day he will be recognized as one of the greatest guitarists past and present.
He's probably my #3. It would be nice to hear his own music.. Anyways Brian Carroll is my #1 by far. Jason Richardson as #2... He does have talent I don't deny but let's see his talent for making his own music.. I would be interested in hearing that..
... and just so young

Agree 100% on your # 1 player , same for me 😊 I have many favourite players of many various different styles but Buckethead is so insanely great and original sounding as any one of them ( except maybe the Gypsy Jazz / Django Reinhardt style, but I have no doubt whatsoever that he could do it very well also if he felt like trying that style as well. Thinking 🤔 about that , I’d like to hear him give it a shot actually 😊)
He just straight up Slays damn near anyone who’s ever played the instrument!
Buckethead is a Total Legend Killer! But in true nice guy fashion he just does it with pure skill and love of the guitar, in the very nicest way possible as you would never hear him say anything even remotely like that about Anyone Ever ! And I doubt he feels that way himself as his personal favourite was and probably still is Shawn Lane!… but it’s on RUclips in a video where even Shawn himself was in Awe talking about Bucketheads crazy skills ! Trying to play a multi layered 20? but impossible pc of music Shawn had put together just for a fun experiment, and he almost figured out a way to do it and Bucket actually got really close to being able play it by himself in one take ! 😄 great little interview with Shawn talking about exactly this very thing! ) I listen to Buckehead for hours every single day without fail ! I’ve been playing for 38 years myself and I just gotta say… He really is that Damn Good ! So great and unique that I’m constantly thinking about his stellar playing even when it isn’t playing! or I am about to put it on or already playing it !😄. He is without question as good or better than any “Legend” including his teachers or anyone in the music industry ever was or is right now …
Some other tip top favourites are Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen , Jason Becker, Steve Via, Randy Rhodes , Dimebag Darrell Abbot , Zakk Wylde , Paul Gilbert, George Lynch, Jake E. Lee, Dave Mustaine , Chris Poland, Marty Friedman, Chris Broderick , Jeff Loomis , Kirk Hammett, Gus G. , Tony Iommi , K.K. Downing and Glen Tipton ( as well as Richie Faulkner! That dude is a perfect fit for Judas Priest ! ) , Richie Blackmore , David Gillmore , Yngwie Malmsteen , Andy James , Angel Vivaldi, Ola Englund , SRV, Clapton , Devon Townsend , Jeff Hanneman, Django Reinhardt , John Petrucci , Tosin Abasi , this guy Marcin , Jonn Gomm 😊 Damn I can go on all day and night… with all the different styles etc. the list is endless really… But for me personally… he does so many different styles and even many different style guitars / and bass and even occasionally the banjo 😄 in the solo “Pikes” series so extremely well that to me anyways 🪣 Buckethead 🤖 is the Undisputed 👑King of All Guitarists 🎸 . His level of new song output at a high level sound quality and rhythm / riff wise and imaginative solo wise as well , especially lately is just continually unbelievable! Pike # 562 has just been released ! 😮 Unmatched by anyone out there, Nobody Else is Even Remotely Close ! 9 New pike drops last week alone! In a year or 2 he puts out as much new music as others release in an entire 40+ years long career!

I like how Simon says the “song” was all over the place yet he was playing one piece by Paganini or Vivaldi I forget which one. And no one noticed he just played like one of hardest guitar (originally written for piano) pieces ever, Asturias.
Yes yes yes! For non- musicians, they have no idea how difficult Asturias is and sad and embarrassing that they did not even recognize it! What would make more sense is if there was an AGT - America’s Guitar Talent, where he is competing against other guitarists and the judges would be musicians and could understand the complexity of what he is doing.
Imagine practicing every day for years, pure skill and talent went into these performances, and then loses to someone whose backstory was like “my pet cat’s hamster died”
my pet cats hamster lol
When Marcin picks up a guitar, it becomes a divine instrument.
When he plays, you can see the artist's passion in him, and that he's truly possessed by The Music.
It's captivating, and inspiring.
😐😑😐
No... he possesses The Music, not the other way around
@@mphantom203 no the music possesses him. it’s a figure of speech. it pretty much means the music takes over his body. he takes over the music and the music takes over him.
no emotion or melody means crappy music
Best talent to ever hit AGT period I don't think people understand this type of talent
No, they don't. If they did, he would have won.
Me : What kind of music do you play?
Marcin : yes.

I used to think pianists are the only ones who can do so much with their instrument, but this kid right here just showed that guitar isn't only a string instrument. It's a complete band.
If you tune your Low E string low enough, you even get a bass! /jk
The guitar has been played in versatile ways for a very very long time. Just look at old classical compositions for guitar for example. The guitar also has its roots in the lute I believe. Most modern representations of the guitar are limited.
Not only is Marcin a truly gifted prodigy kid, but he actually makes the most of what the guitar is really for or he simply proves what the guitar can really be for.
The guitar, no matter what kind it is, is one of the most versatile instruments ever invented. John Petrucci himself said this.
And they say god doesn’t give with both hands, this kid’s got enough talent, personality and charisma for half a dozen hands. Absolutely spectacular!
Mesmerizing !
It’s not god, it’s practice.

AGT is a fucking joke.
I would also be curious. I’ll probably look it up later, but I’m lazy lol
This is TRUE talent. No sad stories attached.
The best I have ever heard and I’ve been to Santana, Kirk Hammet, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Hendricks concerts...this kid is phenomenal, absolutely astonishing and regardless of not winning this show is irrelevant, he is a superstar and will be a legend !
No mention of Roy Clark? He would be my closest equation to what this young man is doing.
Jimi Hendrix*
He didn't win because he's in a league of his own...they don't know what to do with him...he's a one man band and his tempo is too energetic for anyone to do anything qith with him. Don't think anyone can keep up
You didn't mention Buckethead or Jason Richardson.. those two alone are by far the best guitarists in the world of all time.. Marcin is good but I don't think playing a mix up of different people's song would make you that good.. he does have talent Yes but I wanna hear his own music..
@@xxxharleyxxx6131 Neither Buckethead nor Jason Richardson are anywhere near the best of all time. Jason is great, much better than I'll ever be, but he only really showcases his technical ability to shred. I've never seen him improv in any style (much less most styles) and I've never heard a song written by him that has hit me as a "masterpiece." Simple answer to your question..He is Polish..end of the story 😓
I think it’s reasonable that he didn’t get the buzzer, since it all comes down to circumstance and it’s such a rare thing, but it’s absurd they spoke so highly of his last show and he didn’t even make top 10
Heck even in the second round he got three of the Judges’ Choice votes (there are only four to be given out to the 12? contestants each week. That’s basically like 3/4 of the judges buzzering him lol

People are oblivious to the level of skill this young man has. He is basically a Franz Liszt of the guitar.
add Mozzart, Beethoven and Chopin into acquisition
No, please no. It's just a bunch of strumming and percussion. It's just a style that sounds flashy and impresses non-guitar players. It's insulting to compare him to the literal genius savant of Liszt.
@@tylercampbell6272 I beg to differ.I’m not a guitar player. You got me right on that account. However, the ability to translate a whole orchestra into one guitar requires some level of being Fucken genius.
@@matilda1505 No it doesn't. Anyone with classical training can make an arrangement. I've done several. His playing is also extremely sloppy and he's clearly playing faster than he can handle, he just masks his lack of tone clarity and mistakes with a bunch of gimmicks. Closest thing. I. can compare this to is a live DJ, where they just pretend to be doing much more than they're actually doing. I'm not saying he's terrible....I've seen his other performances and he's got some talent but he is definitely not a genius and is hardly even the best player in his cohort. He has started when he was 10 yo
He's a winner. He may not have won the battle but he's winning the war as we say. He's got mad skill, re-invented how to play a guitar because honestly I have never ever seen anyone use every single part of the guitar as he has... you just can't find that kind of genius today. As I said he's an absolute winner.
He is the kind of genius that can play anything on his guitar, he don't care if the song was made to be played only on piano, he plays better moonlight sonata in his guitar than most pianists.
There's a lot of guys that play in a similar percussive fingerstyle modality - Mike Dawes, Michael Hedges, Jon Gomm, Calum Graham, Thomas Leeb, Erik Mongrain, Antoine Dufour, Don Ross - it's a well-established style, but having said that, Marcin is an excellent exponent of that style.

This kids unbelievable. I've never heard guitar sound this way and I fricken LOVE THIS!!!
When the performer has more skill in his right thumb then all four judges put together…
That guy does more than plays music. He senses and feels it with all of his being. This is the only way he to play like that. I look forward for this diamond to shine even brighter when he learns to balance better between the notes and the pounds - sometimes the latter comes up too much, and the beautiful notes get lost in the noise. But that's just one and only thing I see/hear keeping him from inhumane perfection. He's still so young! He has more than enough talent in him to reach the pinnacles which anyone else could just dream of. Amazing!
The system of a down transition I don't even know if they noticed what it was but it was glorious
The young man does thing that I feel are not humanly possible. It’s a shame the some people can’t recognise pure talent. I wish you a successful life 🤟
When he busted out system of a down I was shook!!! This guy is insane. I feel like I just witnessed a unique once in a millennium performance
If you just watch his hands it looks like it's in time laps, guitar is harder than you think for those who don't play and this right here, is the god of this instrument.
I've been playing (at) the guitar for years. I am inspired every time I watch this kid! He's an amazing talent, and I admire his passion for the guitar. It shows every single time he picks up that instrument, no matter what he's playing.
I immediately got goose bumps...can't imagine what it'd be to listen to him live!
I saw Michael Hedges in the 1990's who, to the best of my knowledge was the innovator of the piano/percussion style that Marcin plays. Although he never attained the fame of a Hendrix, he brought someting new to the guitar that was mindblowing and started an entire style and movement. Marcin is also a mindblowing virtuoso who I wish a long and deeply satisfying career with all the recognition and accolades he so deeply deserves.
I cannot understand the comments by guitarists who hear Marcin or someone great and their first impulse is to quit. The great ones serve as inspiration who show that the boundaries can always be pushed a step further than we were socially engineered to believe.
I haven't thought about Michael Hedges in a long time. Thank you for the reminder! Queueing up the next binge-listen...

This kid singlehandedly reinvented guitar as we know it
Not quite. His playing style has the speed of Django Reinhardt and Al DiMeola. His strumming and percussion technique reminds me of Charo. His fretboard playing is similar in technique to Stanley Jordan.
This isn’t reinvention, it’s a once-in-a-generation fusion.

His first two performances were just out of this world, completely free style, crazy and wild; however, to me it looked like they tried to put his music in a cage (metaphorically speaking), and hence his last act didn’t got that much vibe. Maybe people prefer cages than free spirits. Marcin do not give up on your free style, it will revolutionise the music. You remind me of Jimmy Hendrix!
