- This first time reaction of Marcin's "Moonlight Sonata" acoustic guitar cover is genuinely my first time hearing this.

When I do my reaction videos I don't press pause because I don't want to interrupt the natural flow of the music as it was originally intended by the artist. I try to vocalise my thoughts in real time as I listen to the song, and then summarise my reaction afterwards.

Marcin has a God-given talent, he is incredible ! Look how young he is, and he gets a revelation of a heavenly sound on the guitar that no one has heard before. He is only 23 now and I've been following him since he was a teeny bopper. I recognize that his gift is more then just a desire to be good at this, it is a God given full understanding.
No wander, he is the best guitar player ever, that is E V E R ! Viva Polonia.

Beautiful! His guitar is special-made it's not factory. His dad put the guitar in his hand at the age of 10. His dad put the first scratch pad on his guitar also , and rienforced the Inside of it with a pad of wood , so he could percuss it without cracking the guitar wood.
His dad knew what he was doing when he put that guitar in his son's hand's.
The sound is a blessing to the world
of the hearing.
Marvelous and well-balanced commentary from another respected professional can't get much better than that.

@@sk8ermGslisten to the 3rd movement of the original sonata which he introduces here after starting with the well known 1st movement. He interweaves both movements ingeniously. Then ask us all for forgiveness for your patent ignorance once you return enlightened.

As beautiful as he plays this, the absolute amazement, awe, appreciation, and wonder on this man’s face make this even more beautiful.

Sure there are a lot of musicians out there who are mechanically skilled and can play complex things very fast.
However, here, the best thing I can say is that you really sense his appreciation for the source material and taking his time and sometimes being delicate and it really draws you in.

Thanks so much for this. Really loving your reactions to Marcin. The sections where you thought it was two guitars is only one. He may add some things to the backing track in his videos but he doesn’t overdub his guitar. (The only time he has clearly done that is at the end of the Sweet Dreams video.) The effect was caused by a flamenco strumming technique called rasgueado, which he uses extensively in his playing. Those sections sound exactly the same when he plays them on his lives😊

Incredibly talented and gifted, he plays two or three tunes at once,brilliant! And the"smoke" is only dry ice vapour. By the way you should look him up playing Eric Clapton's Layla, that is totally brilliant!

Marcin uses double pickup with mic inside the box and magnetics so the output can be stereo ;) so if you hear two guitars then it can be stereo from this pickup ;)

Mind blowing! Besides his unabashed quality of technique ... he has a brain the size of Einstein for inventiveness and musical flow. "Sheesh!" is correct. Thank you, Steve, for your reaction video. I don't play piano and have never heard someone play this live but I've heard recordings of Ludwig Van's piece many, many times.

The purist might say that Marcin is being just too tricky with his rendition of Moonlight Sonata, but for me, he has put his stamp on a truly beautiful piece of music making it spectacular.
I think the young fellow is a genius in his own right.
