Idk if you guys read comments here, but I wouldn't feel bad, margit is an exceptionally hard first boss and anyone that says they killed him first tine without trouble is lying
This much is true, he’s supposed to be a gate until you’ve done stuff like Castle Morne, though he’s pretty easy even on a fresh character once you’ve got the practice in. They also kinda fucked themselves with running sorcery, early game sorcery is pretty meh if you don’t know where the good stuff is, and astrologer HP is a suggestion
Margit is actually quite hard to defeat, his cane and dagger is just so unpredictable even though it can be learned. I got more frustrated fighting him than the other bosses I fought later on.
Compared to previous game first bosses he's definitely harder but he is far from hard. I never understood people overstating him, he was simply that easy he can be read like a book despite his delayed hits every now and again. During stormveil I died way more to the minions then I did combining both Margit and Godrick together, which was once cause I didn't think I'd need the heals for Godrick so I didn't rest before entering
OMG, @ 1:00:00 Ellis pulls out what I THINK is a Bottle of Water? BUT, it ACTUALLY LOOKED like a CRISCO OIL Bottle here in the States!! I was like.. "umm Ellis... what are you... NO! OH GOWD NO! OIL? FOR THE THROAT!!" But saw it was water... lol
Oh weird. It's weird that a bunch of squishy magic users with no clothes keep dying to the Filter/Gate. Weird how you can't just hand a "cheese-build" to people allergic to Souls games and curb stomp every boss.... Also, TBF: *Ellis* said "yes" first then Cath, and I think Cath meant single-use for the boss (ie single purpose)
6 mage skills to pick up and learn didnt go down near the lake area with the dragon and they complain about the boss being hard...basically bum rushing bosses
Ellis i feel your pain my firat time i rage quit after an hour. Then i found the seamless coop mod and now its fun cause i understand the game a lot more.

The difficulty is to give you the determination to not give up, and the satisfaction when you win. I enjoy it❤

Cath is often confidently incorrect about lots of things in this game.
It shouldn't annoy me that much but it does.
