- Here is a real favorite of mine, "Come Take A Trip In My Airship", played on one of our Mira 18-inch Grand Concert music boxes. Some of you may notice that I had already uploaded this same tune played on one of our Mira 15-inch Parlor Grand music boxes. When I listened to this tune played on our recently purchased 18-inch Mira I thought that some of you might also enjoy listening to this delightful tune played on this larger Mira music box. I enjoy listening to both renditions and I hope that you will too. Thanks so much for stopping in.
Thank you. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed this.
Those were happier, more innocent times.
Thanks
A bygone era when technology was still decades away from transistors. And it played less of a role in peoples lives. Things were simpler in some ways. Not to say things weren't difficult, or easy. But this is one of those wonderful little joys some people had then which has been for the most part, lost to time.
Back in those times, a thing like this would make a person smile and a child's eyes light up. Today, there is precious little in our technology that will do the same. We possess wonders people would once have considered sorcery, but it is a largely soulless affair.
The sound makes everything seem so happy.
I just found new favorite ringtone to my mobile phone.
Thank You!
Hurrah! What a wonderful melody! I congratulate and praise one who programmed the melodies on the disc or spiked cylinder of music-boxes. Even some tall case striking clocks too played melody on built in music-box mechanism just before or soon after striking the number of hours on bell or gong. Nowadays these types of music-boxes and chiming clocks are electronically imitated by some quartz clocks because they contains electronically recorded and programmed circuit board of sound chips connected to speaker and installed in it. Even some door bells too contains such a circuit so that they too electronically imitates the same. But nothing can beat the real music-boxes and chiming clocks.
Absolutely beautiful
My pleasure! That delightful sound takes me back in time and that's one of the many reasons I enjoy these. Thanks for stopping in and for posting the nice comment.

Delightful and beautifully filmed.
Hi ! Thanks for sharing that beautiful song. I just discovered it through Natalie Merchant new CD 'Leave your Sleep'. Your version must be one of the oldest "recording"... it sounds so nice.
@AveryMilieu Thanks for your comments. Stop by again for a visit anytime!
You machine has a very nice sound to it and it recorded well on to RUclips. I would like to see what the whole machine looks like. It's quite interesting. Nice job!
Where do you get these wonderful musical treasures? What do they cost?
Dang, who was the thumbs down?
I can just imagine-
Kids running around, yelling and screaming happily,
Arcade games booping and beeping,
The smell of pizza and cherry Coke,
The whirring servos of robots,
Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie dancing around,
Foxy telling a story in the distance,
And this song is playing.
Analog Disc like star's map
Wonderful - it would be even better if it was slower by a hair. Danceable by ordinary humans, don't you know. Still - what a delight to hear these old pieces...
