I disagree though
We have multiple storylines there, all made well
Maybe that is the most interesting part for YOU, but it's not the only/main storyline in the show
We got Hopper's rescue mission and insights to his guilt that has nothing to do with Max
We got Eleven being bullied, finding her powers back and her connection to Vecna that also has nothing to do with Max
Both big main stories that may actually mean more than Max's story
She could have died in 4x04 and honestly most of us expected she will and show would have continued
And even then, her friends were the main reason she made it out
She provides no "special rule" in the fight,
Nancy and Dustin are the most intelligent and come up with plans, Eleven is the powerful one
The only way Max could be of use in the final fight would be if she plays bait for Vecna while Nancy and Steve and Robin go try killing him
She doesn't even represent the urgency for the team anymore sonce Nancy is also cursed now
She really is Just part of the team and her story is one of the many storylines
She is awesome though

She carried the whole season, she is the most powerful without having super natural power. Her bravery, sacrifice, determination, strength, thoughtful not to put strangers at risk. So, these are her powers.

Addicted to this song because of the meaning behind the lyrics. I like to think Max listens to it thinking about Billy because the whole song is about wanting to swap places with a loved one who is dying or has died, but thats my take on it.

Think the song is about troubled relationships and how "swapping places" would fix problems as each person could see the others perspective. Which still suits Max and Billy as they never seen eye to eye. Songs are all open to our own interpretations though!

Give all the damn Emmys to the Duffer Brothers for this fucking spectacular season. The final battle with this theme in the background is simply the most epic thing I've seen in a long time. Duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes and I don't feel that there is anything that is unnecessary! Masterpiece with great performances. 3 years of waiting that were totally worth it.

this song is fucking INSANE!! Max’s character is everything to me, and I am really sad that, she may possibly be not with us anymore. I mean she did survived but if ever she does wake up, she may be blind, and she may not be able to skateboard anymore. In any case, I really hope the Duffer brothers have a plan for her character next season, I want her back 😭 She has suffered so much, she doesn’t deserve what happened to her.
