My Grandfather built a rocking horse like this for me when I was a kid and now his great-great granddaughter has it. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
April, I made the elephant rocker for a new family member’s 1st birthday and presented it today. Pine body and rockers, walnut saddle and red oak legs and ears. Natural finish. It looked really great and was a big hit. Thanks for the plans.
I have built my 2 of my nieces rocking dinosaurs. Another one got a rocking pig. A rocking bear will be the project this year. My brother is expecting twins so we will see what they get next year. With my small shop I end up using 2x lumber and it works well. Lots of sanding and filling. Kids love them.
All the projects look great April! I'd maybe consider spraying the rockers with a coat of lacquer to protect them and stop the paint from scuffing? Wish I was a kid again and could use them!
Your crafting is great, your narrative even greater. Thanks for sharing this journey with us. You have renewed the passion of my youth for woodworking.
Just wanted to say that I enjoy your videos and get a lot of inspiration from them. I have just built my first rocker from your plans and I’m super chuffed with it.
I think your enthusiasm and joy about these toys is the thing I admire the most.....your craftsmanship is amazing too but than again, it always is awesome!😎
This was a Very FUN video to watch April! I can tell you enjoyed making the rockers. The kangaroo toy was fun too. I like that the Kangaroo Toy is a project that can utilize scraps and cut offs of previous projects. Have a Great Day!
Cute little Easter toys. The taller boy reminds me of my son who was in the 90 percent for his height so he always too tall to play on these kinds of toys. Now he is 6’3 and he has a 6 year old son. I have so much fun playing with my grandson! Great project 👍
Hi April, I just wat you to know I like watching you. I could almost see myself in you. When I was young my Father and Bros. build our wooden house and I kept watching them every day. Then my Father suddenly tells me you´ve been watching now for so long so it´s time for you to be a little carpenter so I always helped out on little tools and learned to hammer, sewing, cutting and filling. So I learned to like it, then do it when they were tired. Finally, My Bro. spoke out loud to our Father saying Hermi is doing it seriously the whole day she´s doing, something, "WE HAVE TO STOP HER." I thought they would be happy, you know, FATHER AND BRO. THEN SAID ARE YOU CRAZY? WHO TOLD YOU TO WORK THAT HARD? WE JUST WANT YOU TO DO LITTLE THINGS AND ENJOY IT, AND THAT´S IT!!! SEE, it just happened that I have a grown-up family! who knows???? April I like you a lot. Take Good Care also. And give yourself a break!. Yes, you are wonderful and your videos showed your excellence. MORE POWER TO YOU!!!
Thank you April . This is the perfect deal for the kiddos. I love the chicken one I really do. Awesome video especially today on Easter Sunday. Stay safe and can’t wait to visit the new shop here in the near future. Have a great one. Here from Houston Texas
Those are great children's rocker projects , I saw Grandpa Amu make a walking figure . You are great , stay well and keep bringing us projects that we can watch .
Love them both but got the kangaroo to build for my granddaughter. I've built many pull toys and this will be a great addition. Thank you so much, and keep the videos coming.
of course you had to do a chicken one as your chicken crazy, and with the kangaroo that walks, as i live in Australia, that is the best thing i have seen for a while, Keep up the fantastic work April. Look forward to your next project....... and we have made them here too
You are amazing! I dream to be good at making wooden toys for kids to enjoy. Need alot of trial and error and more practice. Much love to you Please make more kids wooden toys pls. Love everything youre about
This is so much fun to see. You are amazingly good. You always use good methods. What is extra fun to see is that it is a girl who has this interest and is doing so tremendously well. Wonderfully! Thinking if my own wife had had this interest?
I love your work. A fan from the Netherlands. So I'm verry happy that I could buy the paper template. But which bit do you use to copy the template ...
The french comment in english: Hello April, for the rocking animals my childs and little childs are to old, but the kangaroo is ok, thanks for sharing.
Hi April... i'm yours italian's fan 😁😁 i need only the pdf with plan 1:1... is possible?? I want to pay, of course... i'm interested to Lion and Elephant... nice great job!!! Answer me, please... thanks...
Brilliant design for the rockers, April, and your cheery video really helped during the current isolation! Sadly, you don’t ship templates to Canada... I’d buy e-plans if they were available (PDF or for SketchUp?). Keep up the top-drawer work.
I like all of them very cute expressly the kangaroo great work that you do I'm very impressed with everything you do very talented lady you are !!!! Mahalo for sharing your videos 🤙
What dust mask are you using? I always find it hard to get one that fits smaller faces? Not saying your face is small but it's gotta be smaller than all the large mens sizes out there. Thanks! Great video. Will be building my daughter a rocker soon!
Cool Rockers and Kangaroo, that being said, do you have a design for a wooden Ironing board thats stronger than the not so strong, hollowed out tube metal stuff that the big big stores sell?
Hey April. Great videos...I’ve just started woodwork as a hobby & find your videos very informative and easy to understand, Your great! Can I request you build a dolls house. I want to make one for my niece....

Hey April. Great work! I prefer the rockers with the dowel handles. Seems it would be easier for toddlers to grasp and remain stable. Hope that helps!

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but how do the legs of the kangaroo move if both legs and the body are glued to the same dowel?
