You say the email function is missing thee push email function. There is push email on the n900 and it is pretty much the same as it is on the blackberry
Hey man, thanks for the great review. Do you have any notes for a person going from an iPhone 3gs to this phone? My screen has cracked on my 3gs and i do not wish to spent 200 to fix it, so i'm planing on going to the n900.

It's uncomparability comes from another sourse. From al those little jems you find in it over time. It has a soul. No really, it does. The iPhone you take in your hands in a store is completely different than your own, trust me. I've used so many phones I hardly remember half of them. My favourite before the iPhone was Nokia 9300.
i think if you'll use two resistive layers with both have set the sentivity to some point it should do a multitoucch for 2 maybe 3 fingers.... i've only tried to do this with old tablet for pc and it worked.....
And don't forget that Maemo OS is based on Linux so all the apps are for free and u have permanent OS and apps updates, and if u don't like something in the OS like he said, the mobile don't have Portrait Mode, if more people will tell them that they want that they will just make an update and u'll have this feature too.
@tyDiscordia mine N900 runs also with 1Ghz, supports flash and implements video calls via skype greatly. Does the X10 do tah ? ;) I think, you cant say the x10 is a better phone. Maybee if you just want to use it as a phone or something. But can you use your X10 as a remote control for your TV? ;)
Jon how you disable the switch in the bottom of the phone, when a I try to answer a phone call the screen disappear and I have to touch the switch to answer, please help me
just got my N900, using PC SUITE it takes forever to put music on the device,please tell me i'm doing something wrong? and there's a faster way to put content on this device
I actually had to send mine back. Was sold as "new" on ebay. came with no accessories, a bad battery, a scratch on the side, a hair INSIDE the screen, and refused to boot. There was even rust on the magnetic piece on the kickstand. Have not gotten anything else sense. Sucks being phoneless.
bought one yesterday.. awsome performance.. im stuck with the bluetooth issue here.. im tryin to transfer mp3 from my laptop to the phone but it displays an error. y? ne suggestions...?
oh I agree, but that has nothing to do with the ability of the iphone cant download something and talk or while your watchign movies you cant downlaod. the iphone automatically shuts off your program for you instead of leaving it on vs this phone that you can leave programs on and still do something else at the same time...iphone is a single tasker vs this a multi tasker...just depends on what you want. iphone does lag.....
@Railroadmaster yes, but for expensive like iPhone and other devices running on iOS of Android multitouch = musthave . Resistive its otdated technology .
I've been thinking about buying the nokia n900. Some people say it's completely outdated, that it does not support the actual version of flash player, not possible to watch videos on youtube, no java...so i'm kind of confused because i realy like this phone but i don't want to lose 400 bucks. Advice anyone?

totally different phones...the HD2 does not have a keyboard...its windows based and though a good phone it can not do as much as the n900....I got the N900 and I love it...so many things to offer and so user friendly...in the end, if you want a HD2...get it, it is still a great phone
@UltravioletSRB DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT. it's an unfinished product meant for geeks and sadomasochists who enjoy self-torture. very limited apps, unreliable phone function, no MMS (fMMS only supports images, and still buggy), no videocall over 3G network, heavy and thick, multiple design flaws and poor construction (earpiece speaker not aligned with the speakerholes, malfunctions when pressed to the ear; internal memory module can be dislodged from a single ~1m fall). it's a box of headaches
guys i`ve been waiting for this for a while now, and wiith all the hype about its super fast speed! i`ve tried it yesterday at one of nokias retailers near me and to say the truth its not THAT FAST AT ALL! actually clicking on the menu and accesing functions were pretty slow compared to the iphone 3gs my friend has..i`ve tried both but sadly the n900 IS NOT FAST!
awesome phone much cheaper then the iphone at least in my country....has lots of features and almost no lag anywhere....the only thing that makes it so thick is the keyboard which is also great if u don't have big fingers

@prayfawind yes use it in mass storage mode, its like 3 times faster than pc suite, and use ovi suite 2.2 with it, way better.
