I have a similar corset, mine is maybe a lil bit bigger considering it has 4 clasps at the front but I really like it! I wear it every day at work for back support as longer corsets really restrict my movement as I have very wide hips. I would definitely recommend something like this for casual lacing and day wear for back support
I returned this corset because it didn't had any curves, it had the shape of a tube, it was extremely rigid and firm. It seemed that even to season it, it was not gonna be comfortable for me. I agree 100% with Lucy, she recommends not building it with double bones since it takes away its curviness. If you like mini corsets like me, I urge to check out the MCC152X Black Mesh “Mini” Underbust Corset by Mystic city since it's also a mini corset belt, but it's so curvy and comfortable. 🥰I actually have a video on my youtube channel if you wanna check it out.

do you have any suggestions for corsetry on naturally very tapered ribs? because of my sternum deformity (pectus carinatum), my ribs taper in very substantially. I cannot feel where my ribs end on my side and if you press in at my waist it's actually on my ribs. Inevitably, this means corsets make breathing more difficult and also will slowly ride up higher on my ribs which exacerbates the problem of, you know, breathing. I understand that this is a very niche question but if you even have any half baked ideas on how to mitigate this, I would appreciate it.
I've never heard of this but it's interesting, I'd love to know Lucy's response! She works with so many different corsets and patterns I can't help but wonder what she would recommend!
Hi Amelia, without knowing anything else about your measurements it’s a bit tricky to make a recommendation for you, but I’ve gone ahead and set the filter for my Corset Database. This shows the available OTR corsets that are tapered through the ribs (not rounded), and are underbust in length. Any advice? I'm not to keen on another shape/stylings.

I know on the mystic city table measurements its seems to have 2 inch rib and 4 hip but wanted to be sure, i really wish there was a waspie this small but curvy as the now discontinued wkd baby cincher, i would love to own one in a size 20 or 22 but its so hard to find one in those sizes i might have to get a custom one

A corset belt is even shorter than a waspie. Some people say that waspies are interchangeable with cinchers. But if you had to put them in order of longest to shortest, it would probably be longline > mid hip underbust > short hip underbust > cincher > waspie > belt
This is the only length corset that is really comfortable on me. I'm short waisted and my ribs are well sprung. :)
