Listening to isolated tracks of Bobby makes on thing clear, Bobby is highly underrated. His contributions made the Grateful Dead such a phenomenal band.

Remember that Bob is playing this while also handling lead vocals. Impressive.

You should do the rest of the show. I'd love to hear the different parts in Bird Song

I dont think its this person doing it, I think small pieces of this sort of thing have been released over the years. Not that an audio expert isolated it themselves. could be wrong.

What do you call these kinds of little slight chords he's always throwing in? Are these bar chords? I want to learn to do this lol.

In short triads, although there’s a lot more to it than that Jeff Williams has some great videos on Bobby’s style and parts.

Learn your inversions. He never plays a bar chord or an open chord if he can help it. Play a C chord. Now move the whole thing up 2 frets. Including the open notes. I.E a D in tab form would be
      E - X
      A - 5 (pinky finger)
      D - 4 (ring finger)
      G - 2 (first finger)
      B. - 3 (middle finger
      e - 2 (first finger)
Slide this whole chord up and down. You’ll notice it sounds like something BW would play. Try this with other chords, especially G. They’re tricky to get your fingers round, but his style makes a bit more sense when you do it. He has lots of other little tricks and 2-3 note chords he seemingly pulls from nowhere. That would take a bit more study of his hands from your part.
