Holy Sh1t!! I have only ever seen a 30 sec very bad clip of this.. this is some of the Best Ever Video Quality footage Ever…. (I speak as a bona-fide addict…). Awesome!
I loved the days when smoking was permitted in clubs. It's been years since I quit, but sitting in a bar or venue watching the band, kicking it with a beer, and a smoke was so good. I get the health issues, but everything's so restrictive today.
Excellent sound, nice & light but with intensity,a lot of clarity in the recording, all the instruments stand out, very musical, all masters here, seasoned musicians
Fela Kuti - soprano sax Jack Bruce - keyboards Ian Anderson - flute Eberhard Schoener - ? tall guy, comes on at the end to shake hands and wave! May be the producer of the TV broadcast. Band - Egypt 80 for the benefit of.... those who might not know! I had to look up who Schoener is myself. Now I'm off to look up his collaborations with Tangerine Dream.
Это как разноцветные ленты, искрятся и летят вперёд рядом с друг другом то переплетаясь ,то летят сами. Очень целеустремленная музыка, будоражит.но не веселит.
Well, Mark Nauseef on percussion, who is/are the other percussionists? Who is the drummer, the bassist, the guitarist, and all the saxes? And everyone else? Aruba Red, can you find it out?
I don’t know which one of these dudes Jack Bruce is - but I certainly know who the Black President is! I had the luck to see Fela and the Africa 90 many years ago in a dope heavy haze of incessant, hypnotic rhythm. This is pretty good too.
I remember watching an interview with Ian Anderson, many years after this gig had taken place, where Ian manifested his disappointment with this experience, namely saying (in sarcastic jest, obviously) that at times Fela Kuty was a whole bar behind or ahead of the other musicians. At any rate, he hated the experience.
😢I love 70's Tull, but by the 80's Anderson had lost his musical direction, and started farming fish. Unfortunately,he is the one who lost the timing here, and his confidence,by the looks of it. He starts off really well, but goes astray just over halfway through!!!
Fortunately Mr Anderson was the only one who thought that. Notice soon after the first few blows it wasn't long before he took off, rapidly, thick as a brick, ( pun intended, respectfully),leaving all in his wake. Two can play the same game. Cheers.

nothing like a good cigarette for the lungs before playing flute
Probably the one cigarette that destroyed his voice 😂

I was in figueira da foz this day in 2014 when I finally found a bar with Wi-Fi.first thing I got was the bad news.😩10years! Time flies
I was in Lake Geneva Wisconsin when I heard the news. I'd hoped with Jack's liver transplant he'd be ok?

This didn't really work, did it? A bunch of people that didn't understand each other, not listening to each other.

lol, what was going on with Ian And who's running the board? Well if there's one thing Jack could handle, It was chaos. Yay! A true jam.
No Ginger?

What?! Ich hab in den 80ern echt was verpasst. Jethro Tull macht Spass??!,... whhahnsinn.
All I can say is whatever happened to less is more?!
I didn't know jack could play keyboards
He plays Piano on his solo albums, his first 'Songs For A Tailor'
@Gell1967
Thank you
Piano is one of his main instruments 😛.
Besides Cello, Guitar, Harmonica, and of course, vocals and bass.
@@thomasr.5784 On his channel there's a video where he talks about the Veena technique on bass, adapted from the Indian instrument of the same name
@@Gell1967 What do you want to tell me here?
Bruce is very loose as a keyboard player. Ian does a better job of blending in
😊Yeah,shoulda gotten his bass out!!!
Terrible noise
