thank you so much! my teacher couldn't explain it that clear to us. she spent literally 2 minutes on this lesson. this was sooooo helpful. saved me!!!!!!!

@vestraya Each time you want to draw a section of the graph above you would need to calculate the actual area on the v-t Graph. If the area is positive you would go up and if negative you go down. At time 2:18 if I had calculated the actual area of the v-t graph for the rectangle I would have known how high to draw the triangle on the d-t graph. I guess I will need to make a video on this some time. I hope this helped.
I'm taking physics for the first time in university and these videos are saving my life! Thank you so much, you explain it so clearly so it seems so simple!
I could just cry now. My teacher made it soooo difficult to understand while this is so easy! I seriously cannot thank you enough. I have an exam in 8 hours and this made me so much more confident.
You guys are life savers, my teachers seem to be getting ill quite often and I was a bit shady on this topic, thanks for the help though! Much appreciated!
you make this seem so easy!!! thank GOD for RUclips!!!! i understand it now since you broke it down explaining the different lines you used to graph the d t graph...thanks!! so much
GOD bless u guyzz.......its really difficult to find such a great guidance from anywhere today............n u guyzz are doin it for free......................thanku so much .........keep up d good work
You are saving me from certain Physics20 failure. Thank you so very much. Even doing experiments and talking one on one with my teacher couldn't get me to a point where I understood what is happening. You very clearly explained this concept that has been out of my grasp. Once again thank you.
I saw all of your 11 videos of this topic and they cleared my concept thoroughly. Thanks a lot. I would have not been able to cope up with my class if you were not there. Thank you Sir. The Sir in the 10th video was amazing. Enjoyed it.
@videopost987 Good question. It depends on the calculation of the area. If the total positive area (which is forward) is equel to the total negative area (backward) then it will end up on the axis. In this case I had no numbers to use so it was an estimate so I could have drawn it to the axis and it would be right. I just thought that the area probably was not big enough to justify going all the way to the axis. If you drew it to the axis on a test I would have given you full marks.
this was really helpful for me . i wish i have a teacher like u because my teacher did't explained this clearly and i was too much confused for this u really saved my life so thanku soo much for this
This video helped me gain a better understand of the velocity-time and dist.-time graph. Thank you. (: My teacher explained it to me but now I have a clearer understanding.
@videopost987I did not use actual numbers for the drawing of the graph, I am just estimating how far the line goes up or down. I can estimate it quite close because the size of the area represents the amount the line goes up or down. Just before I put the last point on the graph I looked at the graph and could see that the graph had mostly been going up to that point and the last area that was negative was probably not big enough to bring the graph all the way donw to the axis. Hope this helps
thank you so much for these videos they give me a clearer understanding of all the topics that i have problems with in school now i actually stand a chance of passing my exam
Omg thanks so much!! I was stressing out because I took an AP physics test today and after the test everyone in my class thought that because the slope declines in the V.vs.T. graph (meaning the area was still positive), the position graph would be going downwards. Good thing I studied and didn't do that!😅
@jmoses3343 We don't have a video on that but some day plan to make one. It is the same as making a distance time graph from a velocity time graph only you don't have to deal with curves. We have a video on that and it might help you so check our website and look for the video with that description. Most likely you will have an acceleration-time graph that has all horizontal lines so the velocity time graph will be very simple. Sorry I don't have a video on that yet.
A container ship travelled at 14 km/h for 8 hours and then slowed down to 9 km/h over a period of 30 min. It travelled at this speed for another four hours and then slowed to a stop over 30 min. (a) What is the distance travelled by the ship (in whole journey)? (b) Calculate the average speed of the ship for the whole voyage.
bro your an og saving my life for this exam tomorrow
Did it help!?? I have an exam tomrrow! I need this to save me lol.

Could't remember this when I was taking physics for the first time in grade 11. After doing calculus, this makes so much more sense.
I have been searching for a solution to understanding this concept for almost 24 hrs and you explained it perfectly within 6 minutes. THANK YOU

Thanks a lot. I got an exam soon, you literally explained this better than my teacher.
Thanks for catching the slip at 6:39, almost got confused, but you corrected right away!! Thanks!!
Bro you are a legend, and so is the bearded dude from second to last vid, you guys are both saviours of physics.
I was a little unsure why the curves were sometimes up or down, but now I'm more confident! Thanks!!

Thanks for clear explaination
thank you so much for an understanding this concept😊
