The 2015 pirates wave was basically a remake of the 2009 pirates wave with the exception of the chess set. That all being said, I really wish I got my hands on at least one of these sets.
Omg pirates needs to come back I had all the sets in this line except for the ship and chess board. And I lost many of the pieces to those sets I’m praying that the replacement pieces aren’t retired! 🙏
Thankfully Barracuda Pirate Bay will be also a test to see if bringing Pirates back is worth it. If the sales are good we should expect something. There is also another ship coming in July. A Creators 3 in 1, 100 USD. 3 minifigures. I think Lego wants to do some kind of experiment.
I agree but they probably won't anytime soon due to the 2015 wave selling poorly. I believe it sold poorly because the sets weren't that great. The 2009/Creator Expert Imperial Flagship wave was awesome. I mean, who puts a stud shooter on a Blue Coat boat.
@@kalebsmith123 It feels like Lego didn't have confidence in the 2015 line to start with, leading to a lack of commitment to the sets, which became lackluster and it was obvious that they cut corners. The Soldier's Fort was hardly a fort to speak of and The Brick Bounty was also disappointingly spare. However I really liked the revamped minifigures and the imperial flags. Soldier's Outpost was good for what it was and Treasure Island was good, but a bit small.

the 2015 pirates theme is really underated. i love it.
i never had any of the sets, since its 2020 i think they are way to old, but the creator pirate ship i still for sale luckily
