“NASCAR 75” - A NASCAR 75th Anniversary Music Video

Happy 75th birthday NASCAR!
In February of last year, I had an idea to create a musical montage video honoring the history of my favorite sport, NASCAR, taking inspiration from ESPN’s incredible “Images of the Century” (1999) and “Images of the Decade” (2009) musical sports montage videos. This was my first time ever doing video editing, so it was a challenge at times. But I kept plugging away at it, and just a few days shy of a full year from when I started, I was able to wrap up production!
Here’s to the greatest drivers, and most groundbreaking, exciting, controversial, and emotional moments that have defined America’s greatest motorsport for 75 years. I hope you enjoy.

There’s one thing I feel I should clarify just so no one misinterprets its context in the video. I included the scenes of Bubba at Martinsville in 2020 and pre-race Atlanta 2020 because that period marked a huge cultural shift for NASCAR, and thus I feel it’s historically significant in the sport’s history. I personally believe NASCAR did the right thing in recognizing our need as a country to do better in stopping racism and racial injustice.

I’m just now seeing this and I cried. The format gives me vibes of the ESPN sports highlights from the decade 2000’s. That’s probably the best sports highlights monologue that i watched and this matches it’s style! Great edit and song choice!
