Over the last 2 years I bet Jamal Williams and Jalen Hurts had probably 15+ one-yard TDs after Swift got them to the goal line. I hope he does well in Chicago.

The only reason Jamal Williams had as much of a role as he did in 2022, was because swift got hurt in the week 1 vs the eagles in 2022. He had 15 carries for 144 yards but hurt his shoulder and missed several weeks and then came back in a limited role. He wasn’t in a limited role because Williams was better, it was because of his health. He easily could have had 15 more TDs in the last 2 years if he had stayed healthy and been used inside the red zone. People have this idea that swift is just a small/quick rb but he’s extremely talented. Hes got great quickness, agility, and power and he’s a talented wr. I didn’t say he was better than Saquan, but Swift is a top 15 rb based on talent. Most people that don’t agree just are looking at numbers and not watching him play.

Nothing swift could have done (positive or negative) to make this “age” and change my opinion of him in any way in that short amount of time. Our run game is consistently solid. And although they had a good run blocking o-line their scheme overall was poor and predictable. With someone like Shane Waldron i see swift having a lot more space
I think his versatility and ability as a receiver makes this a solid signing, and that's panned out with him already having 150 receiving yards on the season. Adding a solid receiver at RB who is also a very good back in his own right to a young team with plenty of veteran talent at the skill positions is a huge help for a rookie QB who will need many safety valves to beat the pressure from NFL defenses. Chicago has been missing that ever since Tarik Cohen got hurt.
Hes a hometowner ofc we miss him. But Saquon is the type of gamble you have to take in the NFL, its not every day you get a chance a player like him (even if Swift is a great back), and when you do you can't just pass it up... If it doesn't work we'll never hear the end of it but thats just the way this league works... Doesn't mean we don't love Swift, hes a badass.
